11 months to go! I'm so glad it's finally under one year.

Here's what I've done so far....

    1. Booked a caterer/florist - The caterer we have chosen does catering, floral arrangements, set up/take down, everything except cakes, so that's very convenient.

    2. Got my dress, a while ago

    3. Taken our engagement pictures

    4. Have a photographer (my cousin)

    5. My aunt is making our cakes, so we're very excited about that! She used to own a bakery and does a great job.

    6. Booked the church

    7. Decided on a reception venue, even though they don't allow you to book 2011 weddings until May.

So I've gotten a pretty good bit done!

    My February to-do list is...

    1. Start looking for bridesmaids dresses

    2. Start looking for scoops/apothecary jars for our candy buffett

    3. Start gathering random accessories to use at the wedding

    4. Find a videographer & a DJ

Lots to do! What do you bees have planned for this month? I'd love to hear what you've all done so far also.

Less than a year away!! So far we've booked our venue, gotten my dress, picked out bridesmaids dresses, most of the wedding party attire, and our cake. We're currently deciding on a photographer and florist so hopefully we'll cross that off by the end of the month! Oh, we also just ordered our save the dates because a 20% off hello lucky coupon here on weddingbee :)

@ Marcam - Gah, I feel behind now! You've gotten so much done. Congrats on being so prepared & on your save the date find :)

Oh my gosh! I feel so far behind! We're date twins and I have so much to do still! What style of wedding are you having? I'm meeting with a photographer on Tuesday but haven't heard back from ANY caterers yet. Feeling a little stressed out about that, we live in a rural area so it is hard to find someone who will travel for us with the winter weather so unpredictable.

    YAY for date twins!!!

So far I have the following done: booked reception (which also does the cake), booked ceremony site, booked photographer, found my dress, picked out bridesmaid dress color (they are choosing the dress... i just still need to decide short or long...), taken E pics, designed invites and started to create them (one of my MASSIVE DIY projects), began to find jewelery for wedding, and gotten flower girl dresses.

This month I hope to meet with the florist, find a DJ (though I am SERIOUSLY dreading it), continue to work on invites and work on other DIY projects.

Wow, though I've gotten a lot done... I still feel like I have so much to do and not a lot of time! Its almost 11 months away!!!

Hey girls, I was just wondering what style/formality your weddings are?? We're having a semi-formal wedding and need to decide what the best time to schedule the ceremony is. We'll see eachother before the ceremony to do pictures so that's not an issue. Any suggestions?! Our ceremony and reception venues are literally across the street from eachother so people will just walk right over and we will have a cocktail hour.

    Thanks! :)

@KansasPrincess11- I guess you would consider ours sem-formal also & we are having ours at 2 at our church and then the reception will be around 3 or so at a venue about 10 minutes away from our church. We are also doing pictures before the ceremony. :]

So far we have booked the venue, cake, found my dress, found everyone's attire except flower girls and junior bride. This month I plan on booking my caterer, photographer, and videographer.

Our wedding is formal. Hopefully we will find our save the dates and invites soon.

@nurselindsey: We booked our photographer and set the church up for 3:30. Our reception venue is right across the street and we have it until 11 so we figured that would give us time for dinner then a dance. I'm so excited to work with our photographer, she's really amazing!

    1. We need to book the venue for the ceremony/reception. It won't be difficult, but I just have to make time to do it.
    2. Get our engagement pictures taken. Rob's friend, Tyler is an art major so I asked him if he would do it for us.
    3. Start picking out songs for the music list.
    4. Start making the bowls that I want to use as centerpieces. - I'm going to try to make some paper mache bowls and cover the outside with quotes, poems, pictures, etc.
    5. Start working on the invitations. Not sure if I want to DIY, but I need to figure it out soon.

I'm starting to get really excited, but I know I can't go too fast since we don't have much cash to spread around right now. We just decided about 3 weeks ago that we'll have to pay for it ourselves because my parents are split up right now and I don't want to ask them about cash at all.

@KansasPrincess - That should be plenty of time for dinner & a dance! I'm sure your photographer will be great and the pictures will be also. I'm excited about mine too. I'm really glad my cousin is our photographer because she and I have been so close my entire life, she's watched me grow up and now she sees me and my fiance together and knows US as a couple. I think she'll really be able to bring that out in the pictures.

It's not seeming so far away anymore bees! AHHH! I can't wait.

We need to book the venue for the ceremony. I'm trying to get as much included (cake, flowers, etc.) as part of a package as possible.

We're doing a small, informal beach wedding with just family. I'm thinking/hoping/praying this will minimize all the planning. Seriously...I just want to be married, I want my family there, and I want it to be pretty!

I plan to start looking for a dress around May....um...is that too late? :) I work out a lot and I'm afraid (or wishing, haha) that if I picked one out now, it would have to be majorly altered by next January.

Toffee- I think you and I are at the same spot in terms of planning! My guy and I have picked a theme (diner-theme with awesome breakfast food). And have just started looking at venues, suits for him (nixing tuxes)... I feel like I'm still in the brainstorming phase, though and am worried I may be behind.

The e-ring should be arriving this week and we're having an e-dinner next week, maybe then I'll feel propelled to get things down. What kind of wedding are you picturing?
