My wedding is 1-30-10 and I’m trying NOT to kill my parent’s budget with flowers. Our colors are green and gold and I’d like to go with a white bouquet (perhaps with greenish hue?) but have no CLUE what flowers are cheaper/in-season in January. Any thoughts/ideas would be super helpful!
P.S. The wedding’s in Texas, if that helps at all.

i think amaryllis are in season, roses are usually always able to be found as well…

White lilacs I believe are in season around January through March. They would probably look lovely, and be fragrant too.

I’m getting married on 01-02-10 and we’re using roses, hydrangea, and orchids (cheap and in season)!

Daffodils are in season in the winter-spring, and they’re white 🙂 Alstromeria’s, baby’s breath, calla lilly, carnations, and gardenia’s are also white and I think they are in season year-round. Calla Lillies would be gorgeous! Or white tulips 🙂

There are a large number of flowers readily available in January. Some of the less costly during the winter would be Roses of course, Hyacinth assorted inmported Tulips (these have a tendancy to be more hearty during cold months). Hydrangea, although the general public thinks these are pricey, they are very large flowers and it takes less of them in comparison to say Roses to make a full bouquet. Not to mention they are frilly and puffy, like snow!
