There may be better deals on line but Lynneea and Tyler made 24 quarter pint and 16 1/2 pints of jam last weekend. Jars were about $8.50 per dozen at Kmart and everywhere else we looked.

This might sound really weird, but if you’re doing smaller jars, maybe recycled baby food jars? I bet they sell them on Ebay!  Might save you a bit on the actual favor amount you have to give, and it’s recycling! You could add a great cloth top to the jar tops (glued on, so guests don’t see the baby food jar top!) or something like that! Just an idea 🙂

This may sound like an odd place, but I have seen canning jars of all sizes at home improvements stores like Home Depot. That is usually the cheapest place to get them.

A co-worker of mine is making jam for another co-worker who is getting married.  She got her jars at Walmart and said if you can’t find them there they also have them at Lowe’s.

Honestly, I know they sell them at Wal-Mart, so I’m sure the price is very reasonable.
