@hiheel: It's a sign of lots of beautiful dresses! :) Lots to talk about, lots to see!
@Mrs Squash: Thanks for the info, £20 isn't too much and atleast it came after and didn't effect you getting your dress
I wanted to extend beading on the sash of my dress to the right & left a bit
Before
Afetr
Now, I'm only waiting for my final (hopefully) bolero revision photos & the dress will be sent to quality inspection & sent.
I also placed an oreder for Rio by Pronovias which is discontinued an from a very old collection. Jasmine's made that before so I'm sure they'll ace that dress. I ordered it designer fabric & craftsmanship in champagne & the matching veil :)
Can't be more excited :)
I can't believe we are on our third thread already! So many gorgeous dresses!
I am just waiting for my final veil pics and then everything is done! I can't wait to get it. Perfect Christmas gift to me!
@happylizzle I ordered the dress in white, with silver embroidery and beading.
Ooooh just got the final veil pics, they're great and I approved everything to be shipped! I can't wait!!
I am in love with these dresses! My mom is a little hesitant on ordering without trying it on but I can't wait to do so :) I just emailed them with a few questions and hope I hear back soon!
@Pinkmoon: omg you have to post pictures of your veil!! I am kind of obsessed with veils. Plus I think I am re-thinking the design of mine, so this could be helpful :)
@adenosine3phosphate: Here you go! Got home and uploaded them from my home computer.
Beautiful veil! I'm trying to work out what kind of veil I want, but Jasmines are currently making my second dress (
) so I'm trying to find something that would go with them both! Luckily they are the same colour! Has anyone else had veils made by Jasmines they want to share?
@Pinkmoon: So pretty!! I can't wait to see the whole thing, put together! Will you post pics when you have the dress in hand?
@Pinkmoon: Oh dear, just wonderful, I love the combination of the flowers and the scattering of crystals. Well done. Also anticipating seeing the combination of the dress and veil.
@Mrs.Mods: Jasmines made my daughter's veil, rather simple compared to Pinkmoon's but just perfect for her dress. Here is a picture which I posted in part 1, I think. This is a circular drop veil, raw edge with scattered crystals. Very affordable if I say so myself.
Ladies what do you think I want Jasmine Bridal to do a replica of Mori Lee 1802, do you think it would turn out right?
@Dixonswife: Actually I think they have done that for someone else - I noticed it in the background of some of my mid-production pics. I'll dig back through them and post them for you.
@Dixonswife: Pretty sure that's it there in the background, I don't have great pics showing it unfortunately. But I'm sure if you emailed and asked they could help you out!
Pretty. I love the scattered crystals. What length is that? Now I just have to work out style! I'm thinking maybe edged in pearls/crystals? With pearl earrings. :S God I'm bad at putting it all together!
@Pinkmoon great eye.. I see it, Thanks so much I am going to email them, WOW you are the best I may need you to help plan my wedding :)
I can't post any picture at work, but here's a link to pictures of
my Jasmines bridal veil!

@Dixonswife: Haha thanks :) I can't take too much credit though, I briefly considered this dress myself so that's why I recognize it.
@MissFireFlower: Beautiful! And unusual too, I've never seen a veil like that before!
@Mrs.Mods: It's a 3m circular veil. It drops down over the head so the positioning will need to be done by the hairdresser. I am just hoping it is long enough to cover the length of her train with enough left over to fall down in front of her (blusher part).
Oh ladies, these threads make me want to get a Jasmine Dress SOOO BADDD!!!! maybe I need a reception dress after all.... :)
Ok ladies... I need your help! Some of you may remember me from JBS thread II. I was awaiting a quote from James to make a replica Kenneth Pool Estelle dress. My wedding is in exactly 11 weeks from today! He said it would take <10 weeks (with the option to rush) and would cost $975. I'm beyond thrilled with all of it BUT..... I just found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant!! So now that throws a spanner in the works and makes me question my choice of dress. Should I request a lace up back or guesstimate how much growth I'll have by week 17 of my pregnancy. Help!
ETA: I'm 5'2 without heels, short-waisted and at my goal weight of 51kg, size AU 8.
Here's a pic of the Kenneth Pool Estelle that JBS will be working from.

@katlovesjames: Congratulations on the birth of your baby. Two of our daughters just gave birth to sons this year, so as a grandmother of now 6 grandchildren, this is a no-brainer decision.... Go for the corsett back.
You will be in your second trimester so will definitely be 'showing'. I would ask for a slightly higher waist line to your natural waist to give you a bit of room.
How much you will 'show' will depend on the length of your torso, so bigger gap between your ribs and pelvis - less show, if you are shorted-waisted, you could be poping out quite a bit. Also if you are prone to putting on weight, this will add to the issue as well. Besides your 'girls' getting a bit more out there, if you know what i mean.
@katlovesjames: Congratulations. That is not an easy one. First you get the dress you love and then find out your pregnant.
Every female is different some grow a lot @ the bust, others around the bottom.
If I had to guess what to do with measurements go with a lace up back and ask James to allow a wide panel under the lace up section. You will need to add at least an inch to bust and bottom and up to 3 around the tummy.
At 17 weeks I was always all bottom.
@katlovesjames: Congratulations on your pregnancy!!
I've been stalking this thread for weeks now and I just love every single dress Jasmine's has made for you ladies. They are just stunning! I am 99% sure I want to go with them for my dress, but I wanted to get the bees' input first :)
I want to combine two dresses - the bodice of the first dress with the skirt of the second dress. I also want to change the skirt to a trumpet instead of a fit and flare.

Aaaaaand I want to do the whole business in color! Either a pale green like this:

Or a gold color similar to this:

I can't decide which color I like better. I ADORE that shade of green, but my wedding is in October and I am a pale girl with dark red hair, so I think the gold would be more appropriate.
One thing I am concerned with is using colored lace vs. white/ivory lace (assuming colored lace is available). I feel like colored lace might be too 'out there' and make the dress look not-bridal. But if I have to go with white or ivory, I am worried that the skirt will look like it has stripes because of the way the lace is patterned. I do not want to look like a tiger :P
I also don't know whether it would be better to go with Premium or Designer for fabric/craftsmanship. I feel like with lace, a higher-quality fabric will obviously look better. But I don't know if the dress is really complex enough to warrant Designer craftsmanship.
I am going to e-mail James and ask him about all of this but I wanted to get the opinions of the bees with Jasmine's experience first! :) What do you think, ladies?
@lazlouz: Love the beading changes, makes all the difference, can't wait to see it all together
@katlovesjames: wow, what news! Congratulations. I haven't got a clue about sizes and pregnancy so a congrats is all I can offer!! The other bees have given you good advice, Let us know what you decide
@HeyKaraoke: I'm not sure about coloured lace (I'm sure someone else will be able to advise) but I'm not sure about it looking like a tiger if it was in a white or ivory colour, none of the lace dresses I've seen look tigerish, have u seen some?
@Pinkmoon: wow, looks just amazing, cannot wait to see it all together with real pics
@Pinkmoon: Love the veil.. very unique & goes very well with your amazing dress
@HeyKaraoke: I should say that I can't imagine the two dresses combined, yet my vote goes to the light green color, new & unique :) About colored lace, just ask them if they can make it. Ivory or white over the light green or gold lining will also look great :) I also vote for designer grade fabric because lace is the key element in the dress.
@HeyKaraoke: If it were Spring or Summer, I'd say go with the green. I really like it! But I agree with you about the gold being more suited to the season. I think it would be really nice in gold. :)
