@adenosine3phosphate awwwwwwwwwwwwww I really really love your dress, defo one of my favs, it looks so perfect, can't wait to see pics of it on
How does it do up at the back, is it buttons or does it have a gap? I can't really tell from how it's on the maniquin
@reesie2013 The shape of the allure is really nice, so elegant, I couldn't really see the button style on the Jasmine but from the far off pic it looks really pretty too, what a great idea to have that combination. It's really great you have pics and have tried them on, I'm sure they'll be able to create an amazing dress for you. Looking forward to updates!
@megdanwed Wow, that's so so clever how they've attached and re attached the train so neatly, I too couldn't figure it out at first, I thought it was a different dress! The embroadary is so elegant and the material looks great too. What kind of beading will you be adding? What's your inspiration dress?
@waiting0313 Love your dress too, especially the rouched effect for the bodice, can't wait for real life pics. As hiheel said I bet the colour difference with the materials won't be noticable in real life
@Darcy212 Aw, that's such a cute reception dress, I love the buttons, would you wear little gloves with it? What's your main dress? Jasmines is such good value £266 is great for that dress, you could always wear it again for your anniversary or something?
@hiheel I know you probably posted it before but which one is your daughters reception dress again?
Has anyone ordered a "stock" dress from JBS? I found one on the website that I really love. I'm sure the craftsmanship is the same, right? Do they still send production photos? Confirm measurements?
@sarahlouise81: Which dress is it? I'm sure they will provide the same excellent dedicated service no matter which dress they are making for you
@happylizzle: Since I posted, I found like 3 more. lol
"Lemon Bridal Gown (2010) Designer Bridal Inspirations La Sposa"
"Leonor Bridal Gown (2010) Designer Bridal Inspirations La Sposa"
"Lorca Bridal Gown (2010) Designer Bridal Inspirations La Sposa"
"LZ3851 Bridal Gown (2010) Designer Bridal Inspirations JLM Couture"
The last one has pics of one they made and I don't love the lace they used. Do you think that's something that could be changed?
@happylizzle: thanks so much!! can't wait to wear her :) The back is done up in buttons with loops, but it looks open b/c the mannequin is to big for the dress and it won't close, lol!
@sarahlouise81: ooooo I'll have a look ina min! It might be something they can change, I'm not expert with lace with Jasmines, other Bees have much more experience, it seems that the lace they use depends on what stock is available i.e. the lace in the picture might not be made anymore so they might use a different one anyway, you could let them know you don't really like that lace and send them an example of the lace you prefer and or ask for other options? They are really approchable and are happy to answer questions
@adenosine3phosphate: Oh, that makes sense! lol! What colour sash are you going for?
@sarahlouise81: Just had a look at all of those, Have you tried on any dresses?
what did u mean by "stock" dress? As these look like designer inspirations, where they make you a replica of it according to your instructions/guidance and preferences.
@happylizzle: Oops, forgot to answer this question from your last post! It will be plain white to match the dress :)
I can't believe we are on Part 4 already! Looking forward to seeing more beautiful dresses!
Oh, and I did the math, and I don't think I'll be ordering my dress until March now. Trying to lose another 15 lbs before then because I am worried about having to do too many alterations when I get the dress.
Has anyone lost a lot of weight and had to take their Jasmine's dress in considerably?
@happylizzle: All I meant was something from their site, not a custom dress. Stock probably wasn't the right word, but I couldn't think of a better one. haha
That's a good idea to ask for samples of the lace they have. I'll do that. :) Thanks!
@happylizzle: Not sure about gloves yet! My main dress is Justin Alexander 8596- that designer designs for my body lol, I had such a hard time choosing between his designs.
We are having a DIY wedding in my in laws barn/garden in south devon so it all fits :)
@Darcy212: Love your main dress, your reception dress idea really compliments it so well. Is that Devon in the UK?
It's been 5 weeks since I ordered, when should I be expecting my mid-production photos Or am I being impatient lol
@august_bride2bee: I paid for my dress on 11/18 and received mid production pics on 12/20. And I know how exciting it is waiting on pictures, I was checking my email expectently on a daily basis!!
This was going to be her Wedding dress (MS Paris) and then she decided on the Gemma for the ceremony, so she can a train walking up the aisle. With the reception dress she will have lots of room under the dress for our Greek dancing. The Gemma will be imposible to dance in.
Has anyone had Jasmines make them a dress with a large amount of sequins? I love this Badgley Mischka dress (for bachelorette party and rehearsal) but its way expensive! I was thinking about seeing if Jasmines could replicate it but it is literally ALL sequins (mostly silver with some reddish/copper sequins mixed in) and I'm not sure if thy ever done an all sequin dress before...
So I've settled on a simple a line beaded lace dress with a sash for jasmines to make. Upgrading fabric for sure. Curious as to if I upgrade the craftsmanship will the lace look better. Or does craftsmanship just affect sewing. I posted before but am nervous about jus getting premium craftsmanship. I really want my dress to look good. Advise me please :)
The dress is an altered version of Augusta jones Jessie
It's been a while since I stopped in and there has been SO much action on here lately with everyone getting pictures and dresses shipped!
I got pictures of my second dress this morning. Can you ladies cast your eye over her for me?
@Mrs.Mods: very very pretty! The only thing that I can see is the top of the right boob (left boob if you were wearing it) looks like it comes to more of a point than the other side. Does that make sense? It could just be the way it's positioned on the mannequin though. Other than that minor thing, it looks great! Is that a champagne color lining under the lace?
@Mrs.Mods: BEAUTIFUL!!!! You lucky girl. Not sure about the 'Boob' thing, it may be just the angle or something, but I always recommend asking the question.
Love the colour and the lace looks amazing.
@jwilk241: Here's a link to my daughter's sequined dress.

@hiheel: Oh, now I remember you saying about the Gemma before! That's a great idea, I LOVE Greek dancing, sounds like an amazing time will be had by all! Also, like you said dresses like the MS Paris (and my JA 8610) with a hoop underneath they're easier to get around in than other dresses, I was so suprised by this when I was trying on dresses!
Great, great dresses on this forum. So happy for all the bees that are satisfied with their dress from Jasmine's! I also am considering ordering a dress from Jasmine's. They seem to do a fabulous job!
I am thinking of the following dresses:
Option 1:
Option 2:
Option 3:
I am tall and lean, but most of my 'shape' is in my hip area; my bust is smaller. I feel like my ribcage is quite wide, although I do have a defined waist. What dress do you think would suit my body best?
Hope you bees can help me with my journey looking for a wedding dress!
@SweetSister: OOOH love the top one, very Hollywood glamour.
There are always chicken fillets to fill out the bust area.
@hiheel: ah I remember that dress! Gorgeous!! I wasn't sure if it was sequins but now that I know I'm super excited :)
thanks for the feedback ladies.
I might raise the question about the boob thing, I figure I went designer this time, so James might excuse a nitpicky question ! Lol. Does the lace edging on the bodice seem uneven to you ladies? Or is it just the pattern looking funny on the black of the manniquen?
@Mrs.Mods: There appears to be a bit of lining overlaping the lace. Just ask James. That's easily fixed. Also the lace doesn't sit the same on a mannequin as it does on the body.
@hiheel: Thanks! I really love the first one too. Do you think I would need designer craftmanship and fabric?
I actually have an appointment in a bridal shop coming Thursday, just so I can see what type of dress suits me best. Not a big fan of princess gowns. But as you can see, I'm in love with a vintage style and lots of lace ;)
@SweetSister: Recommend designer fabric, because you want the best lace possible. Premium craftmanship should be fine, the structure of the dress is fairly simple.
@jwilk241: wow, what a great dress for your hen and rehersal parties, the one they did for hiheels daughter looked amazing. You guys are making me want SO SO many more dresses! lol!
@Mrs.Mods: awwwwww it looks great, love the lace they used and the colours, so so elegant and pretty, I also think the boob thing may be due to the manniquin positioning but defo check. what part of your day will you be wearing the dress for?
@SweetSister: lovely selection of dresses, will be interesting to find out what you think when you try on dresses, I also was not a fan of princess gowns but I tried one on just to see and I absolutley love it and it's my dress! lol! Will you be able to try on a selection of different gowns when you go?
