@iamsherlocked:  Jasmine’s does better lace work than Dressilyme.  I ordered my dress from Dressilyme and loved it but it was chiffon which they work with well.  I did extensive research before ordering and the general consensus was that Dressilyme is hit and miss on lace gowns.

@iamsherlocked:  I ordered a dress from dressilyme after research on the bee. Only after placing the order have I found all those negative comments for when it’s a lace dress. Aaaah. But it turned out very well! I went with dressilyme because they were much cheaper.

the dress was kind of a trial and I will probably buy my next dress from them again (unless I fall in love with sth affordable at a local salon which hasn’t even happened with sth unaffordable so far …)

@iamsherlocked:  They seem to have nicer lace but the real difference I saw while researching was that Dressilyme just didn’t seem to reproduce the right lines or softness of the lace in the designer gowns.  I saw a lot of complaints about the lacework not lining up properly.

Also, the dress I ordered from Dressilyme was supposed to have lots of pearls and beading but a lot of it was replaced by sequins.  It wasn’t a big deal for me but it might be for you since that seems to be a major design point in the first dress you posted (which is gorgeous bTW!)

I just tried on the second dress today & loved it! I would love to know how you go with your dress (& approx price quoted if you don’t mind sharing) as I’m considering getting a replica made also.

My wedding isn’t until Dec 2015 so have plenty of time. You look lovely in both dresses 🙂

iamsherlocked:  Thank you for directing me to your dress photos. it looks gorgeous! What colour is it made in? Is it the Silver/gold? Also what made you choose Jasmines Bridal Shop to make the replica? Have they made this dress before or is yours the first one? Did you get a professional to take the measurements or do it yourself?

i think this dress is gorgeous & unique, i absolutely love the shape it gives me so am worried that if I purchase a replica I’ll be compromising that. The beading & detail is stunning but I wouldn’t be too worried if it wasn’t exactly the same.

    Sorry for all the questions…

iamsherlocked:  hope you don’t mind but I’ve requested to follow you so I can watch the progress of your dress. This morning I received a quote from Jasmines and I’d like to know what level of beading & fabric grade you choose? They quoted me $400 pls extra for level of beading, designer grade fabric & photos. They also said they hadn’t made this dress before (I emailed prior to finding this post on wedding bees) so maybe they haven’t realised it’s the same one or don’t class it complete until it’s totally sewn & shipped.

When are you due to get married? I’ve got quite awhile, not til Dec 2015, and I didn’t expect to find a dress that I liked on my first shopping trip! I also was going for a completely different style – a Claire Pettibone Chantilly dress. I adore the back of this dress. In Australia it has a price tag of about $7,000 which is so out of my price range! I haven’t tried on that dress but ones that are similar. I do know that JBS have done a few replicas of this dress.

iamsherlocked:  i haven’t received a PM from you for some reason.

The quote stated $400 if no beading, 20% extra if add light amount of beading, 40% extra if add medium amount of beading and 70% extra if add heavy amount of beading.

Are you able to send me the PM again pls 🙂
