I have no experience with Maritime Parc but everyone I know says the same thing about LH- it’s over priced and the food is just ok.  When we checked out LH for a March 2012 wedding it was almost $175 with taxes and tip- way too much for bad food.

I went to look at Liberty House for our sept 2013 wedding, prices started at $175 pp. We weren’t too impressed by the service or the coordinators. We also considered Maritine Parc, which I think had much better reviews than LH.

@Luvlykt143:  Hi there! Did you book Maritime Parc? I absolutely love it there and I am trying to work with my budget to make it happen. I think it’s as expensive as LH.

If you did book, will you give me some details? Guest count and maybe the final price per person? Any inside info would be greatly appreciated!

@Luvlykt143:  hey! I just got back from seeing maritime parc & fell in love with the space, it has lots of potential. I too am looking for a Friday night reception for May & she quoted me $170 pp not including taxes or tip for a buffet style dinner with stations. I thought the price was a bit high considering its a Friday & it isn’t a sit down dinner. I was trying to negotiate the price & she told me there wasn’t much room for negotiation. If it isn’t too much to ask, how did you end up getting such a good deal? I would hate to pay much more than I should. I know the space is nice but I still don’t think I should pay that much. Any tips or advice you can give me will be very much appreciated! Thank you & congrats!

I’m fairly new to this… when you say gratuity do you mean the 22% admin fee they charge? Or is there an additional gratuity fee? Also, for those that booked at MP or LH, do they charge sales tax on the 22% fee or just on the base amount?

@katemarrieschris:  I believe sales tax is just on the base amount. My venue is charging a 22% service charge and said gratutity is not expected.

@Bridezilla8:  March is much cheaper to get married. May is prime wedding season so the prices are usually higher.

There’s a place called Michael Anthony’s that we had on the list to check out for my sister’s wedding but never did.
