ooh those are way cute!
I can't wear heels due to a problem with my knee :( so I can't say if they'll be comfy or not, but have you considered having a second pair of shoes for your reception?
Those are really cute and don't seem too high. Just add some cushions/ foot petals into them and I think you'll be fine. You caould also get a flip flop with a wedge heel if you are worried you may need to get out of them at the end of the nigght.
I JUST won an auction for those in yellow tonight on ebay! I am so excited to get them - they are sooooo cute! :-)
I'm not too worried about them because I'm pretty used to wearing heels, but I'll probably have some comfy shoes with me, just in case!
From a 5 to 6inch heel lover, those are like kitten heels for me, BUT here is a secret I use
They are brilliant and keep your feet dry while giving you extra cushion, they are also thin so your shoe will still fit. This coming from an insanely high arch girl, I need all the space in the shoe I can get!
Try those babies and you'll be able to dance all night in any shoes. You can find them anywhere as well, just google "Foot Petals". They have ones for balls of the feet only and just heels of the feet as well.
That sounded snooty, sorry. I just meant they don't seem that high but those inserts work well on any heels, and even flats.
@ AmandaLynn, first thing I thought when I saw them was, I wonder if they come in yellow...EXCELLENT!
One of the best things you can do is just get used to heels... build up to how long of a time you feel comfortable in them. I got very used to it for work (shoe store, ugh) and FSIL's wedding was no problem for me in 4" heels, granted they were loooovely Manolos, and I couldn't stop looking at them long enough to feel pain. ;)
I've heard good things about insolias making you feel like you're in lower heels, I think Mrs. Bee posted about them at some point on the blog too? or some bee...I thought it was Mrs. Bee.
I was in love with the JCrew Carmen heels, but they just weren't in my budget. Also, my husband wanted to make sure I wasn't taller than him and in 4 inch heels, it would have been close! They're adorable though!
thanks for all the good advice!! Since I can't return these I decided I'd wear them around the house a bit to see how they were, and everything felt pretty good. I also bought some of those foot petals online! I love love love the shoes so I don't want to give up on them just yet.
I haven't tried on those shoes specifically, but I do own many pairs of JCrew heels. My experience is that they lack cushion and the soles are rather thin. You can also try taking them in to a reputable shoe repair store and have them reinforce the sole - sometimes that helps to create a bit of cushion. They're gorgeous shoes!
LOVE THOSE! so jcrew classy!
A trick I've heard it to but some vaseline on your feet before you wear heels and it acts as a barrier!

Hello everyone! I got a really great deal on the Jcrew Carmen Satin Peep toes on ebay last week and they came in, and are gorgeous, I'm just a little concerned about the height. Has anyone had experience wearing these for your wedding? Were your feet in serious pain by the end of the night? I'm not sure if I should scrap these and keep looking for something shorter or get a back up pair of shoes.
