Heck yeah that is ok! E-pics should capture who the two of you are in my opinion- not be stuffy portraits that look nothing like you. Wear what makes you comfortable and represents who the two of you are!
If that is what you normally wear go for it. E-pix IMO dont have to be anything crazy formal.
If we did them FH would have been in jeans. I love to dress up so I would have worn a dress but thats just what I like to wear!
I wore jeans and a cute shirt and my fiance wore jeans a polo for one set of our photos. I definitely wanted a set in jeans...it's what we wear most days of the week and thus the pictures would look very "us." We also did one set more dressed up, which I would encourage you to do. You'll get so many pictures from your e-shoot, and they all start looking a bit the same if there is only one outfit.
Of course! We both wore jeans. I wore jeans and 3 different sweaters and 3 different pairs of shoes. FH even changed his top once I think.
We did some in jeans and some in a sundress (me) and slacks/button down (him). That way we had some more casual and some more dressy (but not formal by any means). Would an outfit change be a possibility? We had 3 different outfits each.
If not, jeans are totally okay as the e-pics should reflect you and your FI. I'd live in my jeans if I could! :)
totally!!! I think its really cute. esp with cute shoes or boots and a cute top or sweater! Make sure your outfit fits you as a couple!
Its fine! Hubby and I wore jeans in our pics as well!!

i plan on wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt and some sneakers for mine! i hate dressing up, i hate dresses, i just feel the best and most comfortable in my jeans and tshirts. i asked my fiance was he was wearing because he likes to dress up and he's wearing a pair of jeans and a button-up. jeans are always a-ok with me!
I love the idea of changing mid-session so there's some variety, but I'm not sure that's possible at our location.. plus I think we are on a one/one and a half hour time limit. Thanks for the words of support! I just always see e-pics of women in cute dresses...

TOTALLY OKAY! we had three outfits (we started at our house, so we had changed into our second outfit before we left)
and 2 of 3 outfits were in jeans! :) (for me anyway :P)
i think with the right top and some cute shoes... it goes a long way! and anyway you should be relaxed and comfortable!

Aren't engagement pics supposed to be casual and show you how you look/are everyday? Every photographer blog I have seen who posts engagement pics has always had the woman in jeans. Wear whatever fits your personality and style, otherwise you will look uncomfortable and stiff. Don't wear dresses, etc if they are not comfortable or don't fit who you are.
That is just fine. I wore jeans and boots,a s one of my 4 outfits, during our Winter E-pic shoot.
We didn't do any costume changes and we both wore jeans. I think they turned out great. :)
We totally wore jeans and didn't have an outfit change since we did all of our pictures in a park and on a beach. Rock the jeans and boots!
My husband and I wore jeans (and didn't have a change during the shoot).
Jeans are TOTALLY acceptable. There are no rules when it comes to engagement sessions except to relax, have fun, and just enjoy each other's company.
Pair it up with some cute boots or some other accessory/prop and you are so good to go! HAVE FUN!!

What are your thoughts on wearing jeans and boots for e-photos? The FH and I have ours on Saturday around 6pm, and while I love some of my cute dresses, I'm kind of thinking jeans, cowboy boots (they are cute, I promise), a cute tank and cardigan.
We're having them taken in a beautiful garden atmosphere, which will be more leaves and trees and grass since most of the flowers are kind of gone (thanks, autumn!). Opinions or other ideas?
