I watched a bit of it the first episode but not much else.  I just hope that if I tell people I'm from Jersey they don't start relating it back to that show!

I couldn't even watch it.. It is people like these that give  NJ, the outer boroughs and Long Island a bad reputation.

Although I do love me some fist pumping and jagerbombs......

@speechie - your last line was hilarious!  I so didn't know about the "fist pump" until now...

The whole show cracks me up! :)

Actually, I refuse to watch that show!  I'm all for brainless humor and really dumb reality TV but, as an Italian American it kiiiiinda offends me.  I mean, we all have our bad seeds, but I think it makes us look crazy bad.  I'm sure most people will know that not all Italian Americans act like that, but still!

@JenniferEspos: I read that MTV is getting lots of threats and backlash from Italian American organizations and the NJ Tourism Board over this show!  FI is Italian and of course, he's nothing like that ;o)  And I'm sure you aren't a "guidette" haha

Edit: here's the article I was referring to: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2009/12/08/mtv-staff-getting-death-threats-jersey-shore/?test=faces

I think I'm a bit behind but I've caught a couple shows. My hubby doesn't know I watch this yet but I can't help it, I think these kinds of shows are hysterical!

"Fist pumpin' like champs" - ROFL!

And then that one guy who calls himself "The Situation" and refers to himself as that in conversation. It was so over the top and ridiculous that I was just busting up yesterday watching it. At one point he was like "uh we got a dramatic situation over here" and I was sure if he consciously used the word "situation" at that moment or not but it was priceless!
