FI loves it. Last season I hated it. This season I'm resigned to it. It does seem stupid they're getting paid to be trashy though.
I am shocked by how much the cast has grown on me since last season. I unironically like Jenny, Snooks, Pauly, Vinnie, and hell...even The Situation now.
Their (undeserved)fame doesn't seem to have changed them much and they seem to care about eachother and that's oddly refreshing to me.
HATE Sammi, Ronnie, and Angelina though.
So, I went almost 2 years without cable because I'm not a TV watcher. I absolutely REFUSE to spent money on People magazine, OK magazine, or anything of the like because I could care less about celebrity's lives, fashion, etc....but you know what, I LOVE jersey shore...can't figure out why though. I didn't watch last season. But this season has been cracking me up. Although, I will say I don't plan my weeks around watching them...I usually catch the re-runs later on.
@Edina: I think Angelina is the only pretty girl out of all the girls! I cant stand Ronnie! OMG i want to punch him in the face! FH thinks he gets so messed up when drinking cuz of roids or somthing
@mishelleez: When JWow scrubs the make up off her face and wears a shirt I think she's alright. She looked cute at the gelatto shop, imo.
I personally think Ronnie is doing coke. There was a blind item months ago about one of the Jersey Shore kids developing a coke habit and looking at his wacko behavior I'd have to say it's gotta be Raaahhhnie.
@Edina: I am all for showing off the girls but Jwow shirts are just too much (well to little) even for me!
I love watching the Jersey Shore it makes me laugh sooo much. And for all you Maine girls everytime I go to Old Orchard Beach now in the summer all I can think of is a mini Jersey Shore lol
love to hate. i watch it and enjoy yelling at the television like a little old woman watching the price is right.
My FI was positively giddy about the new season. I like it but I hate all the Raaahhhnie & Sammie drama. They're so annoying to watch.
Mostly I want to punch Sammie because of her nonstop bitching about Ronnie and then the next second to be like "Things are really good." Ick.
I actually felt bad for Angelina when she cried. I think if she could take a hint she'd do much better in the house since she seems oblivious to people not wanting her around (like when she tried to go with the boys).

OMG, I love this show... My daughter just hooked me a few weeks ago, and I hooked FI... And last weekend, I was in Seaside Heights and saw the crew as they were filming...Here is the best pic I got... My daughter was sooo jealous...hahaha

I think the most important question about this show is...when Sitch going to realize that he is a grenade himself?
Last season Sammi drove me nuts with her manipulative bullshit with Ron. And now this season he's awful too. And I almost puke every time I see Sammi laying in her disgusting bed that the sheets aren't even on properly.
@Edina: HAHA ya hes pretty gross! I wonder what thoes girls are thinking when they watch and hear they were called grenades! and the Chicken cuttlets! hahaha
Saw the Situation a few weeks ago in NYC. He was in front of me buying a pack of Newports. Classic! He is way shorter than I thought. Maybe 5'6" He was also really skinny. Not attractive! I ignored him, but he gave me a look like, "Don't you know who I am??" LOL
@magilnyc: LOL of course he did! Surprised to hear he's only 5'6ish. Maybe that's why he works so damn hard on his abs.

Vinny is my favorite! The Situation looks like a really ugly version of Derek Jeter.
I couldn't even get through an episode of Season 1, yet somehow I got hooked on Season 2. Thanks to my bf... :P
I hate it! I have tried to watch a couple of episodes but can't stand how they talk about the women! Grenades? Cows? Especially when a lot of these girls are so much better looking than the men and women starring in the show! I think the show is really sad and shows that something is wrong in this country that people can become that "famous" and be paid that much money to make complete fools of themselves...I sound like such an old angry woman but I'm only 20! Hah
Ohhh I love it too! My favorites are JWOW, Snooki, and Pauly D. I don't really care for Angelina, but I felt so sorry for her.
Its so aweful its good. I was hooked last season. But all I have seen of this season was about 30 minutes tonight about a note Sammi got.
oops! i assumed you meant the BEACH and not the SHOW. and i was all YES LOVE THE SHORE!!!! and then i realized you meant the show (which even for this guilty pleasure tv watcher is tough to take). it makes me a wee bit sad that the place is now synonymous with the show, esp since none of the featured personalities are even from there.
@mannellal: Agreed, lol. I wanted to enjoy this show for how ridiculous it was, but I tried watching the first season and made it through and episode and a half before I was like, "Why the eff am I watching this? This is really some drivel. These people are boring and obnoxious," and turned it off. FI is from Brooklyn and made it through even less (half an episode). He was just like, "I get to interact with this sort of person on a daily basis, I don't need to watch TV to know how ridiculous they are." I honestly wanted to be able to enjoy it, because I love good ridiculous fun. But this is the sort of ridiculous I can't deal with because they're just such uninteresting characters that do the same sort of things over and over again, and those are things I don't care for (disrespecting women, getting in fights at clubs, tanning, getting jacked, having arguments that could easily be resolved if these people had better rhetorical skills...whatever man). FI's best friend used to work with The Situation at some low-level insurance selling job or something, too, and said he was a major douchebag with an overinflated sense of self-importance, as if that should be of any surprise to anyone. But since FI's friend meets that description very well, for someone to seem like a douchebag with an overinflated sense of self-importance must be saying something.
i love the shore my fiance actually got me addicted to it..its way better than real world..just different and funny..i read their bios and i didnt realize how old they really are!
I have to admit that when this show first aired I said I would NEVER waste my time on it..Ever. Ha! Let's just say I was on the elliptical an extra 1/2 hour last night just because it was on =P
I was born & raised on Staten Island (where Vinnie & Angelina are from) and spent my early 20's down at 'the shore'. Sometimes it is hard to watch because, thanks to them, the stereotype of Staten Islanders (and Jersey Shore heads) are just reinforced. But, I'm still entertained more of the time that I'm offended, so it's fine =)
