I am 6 weeks away from my wedding and we have decided to go in a different direction with my wedding band. Rather then go with a band that goes with my e-ring, we want a band that can be worn on its own. So…. I need recommendations for jewelers in NYC, maybe diamond district?

I just recently had a custom ring made by Fascinating Diamonds in NYC and it came out exactly like I asked. I was initially so nervous and skeptical, because I’d previous tried to have this custom ring made with another jeweler, but once I saw the first drawing, I immediately knew that I couldn’t continue with the project and then began the search for another, more capable jeweler, which is how I then found Fascinating Diamonds based on a friend’s recommendation. The person I dealt with at Fascinating Diamonds was named Sam and he was extremely helpful and reassuring. I emailed him all of the information for the ring I wanted recreated (since I wasn’t able to meet with him) and he came back to me with a 3D CAD drawing within 2 days. Their pricing was also half of what I’d been quoted by the original jeweler that I had contacted.
Their details are located below:

My BF and I went to the diamond district for ring shopping this past weekend and while it was very overwhelming we were both blown away by one store called Sea Wave Diamonds. Elyana helped us and she was very friendly, patient, and knowledgable.
When we got home I decided to google them and check out their website and they got nothing but great reviews and 5-star ratings.
If you’re going to the DD I definitely would recommend you stop there. The BF and I have both agreed that we will be getting each other’s rings from there. They also specialize in customizing jewelry and will beat competitors prices.

@HotSauce: I know this post is eons old, but thank you SO much for the Sea Wave Diamonds rec. I just stopped there on my lunch break and all I can say is WOW. Their work is wonderful, as were the people. They don’t work on commission either, which is a breath of fresh air. He showed me an utterly gorgeous setting that he said could be customized in any way, and quoted my less than HALF of what the guy next door quoted me for worse quality. And Sea Wave’s is for hand set pavé, which isn’t easy to find.
They also mix custom color golds and really knew what they were talking about in that department, which is what I’ve been looking for for quite some time. Most people look at me like I’m nuts. I found one other person in NYC to do this, but her base fee was 5k and up from there, which was not worth it to me.
So again, thank you HotSauce!!! I think we found our jeweler 🙂
