that's really sweet! But do you fear the sterling silver tarnishing over time?
I notice that anything sterling silver I have in my jewelry box gets tarnished after a while. Or maybe the problem is with how I'm storing them?

@regberadaisy: My sterling silver tarnishes only when I don't wear it often. I plan on keeping this necklace on pretty much forever. :)
Though, I'm not sure what to put on each "ring." Obviously my daughter's first and middle name on one, but on the other, do you think I should put her birth date? Or maybe my husband's name?

I wanted to get myself some kind of pendant with my daughter's initial on it. I'm not really a fan of mainstream jewelry but everything on Etsy seems a little too "out there" for me.
