I need jewelry help. I don’t wear a lot normally–I have a couple of standard pieces that I wear for very meaningful reasons for me (I guess you might say the motivational style), but they’re more every-day so I guess I’m trying to figure out where to even start for the wedding. I had my ring custom made because I wanted something in a moonstone to represent a part of my family that is no longer with me and it’s a stone that is meaningful for that side of the family.
I’ll include pics of my dress and wedding ring. I’ve gone back and forth between going with something moonstone for necklace/earrings too (and not sure how that will look with the dress) or whether to go for something that matches the look of the dress a bit more.
Here’s my dress (pre-alterations so the bust area fits a little funny):
Close up of the beading (again minus the alterations)…
And this was taken with no light in a closet so the color is way off, but so you can see the stone accents it has…
Here’s my ring for reference…
So moving on to the other jewelry…
I thought about continuing the moonstone theme…and trying to pick up the center stone accentuating the lace on the dress with this:
But I’m not sure if this will look too big or too different from the dress…plus it might just be me, but it looks like the side stones are moonstone on the left side and crystal on the right side which is a little unbalanced/odd unless it’s just how the light is hitting it.
If I stuck with moonstone earrings, I found these that are pretty, but I’m afraid they might be too far from the dress:
I also thought about forgetting the moonstone and going for something that plays up the ivory color of the dress and the more antique/vintage look with this set:
But really, I’m not sure how either one would look with the dress so opinions or other suggestions are very much welcomed…Thank you in advance.
