I think earrings over necklace if you're wearing your hair away from your face, necklace if you're wearing it down. I would prefer up/earrings.
Honestly, with this dress I would go for big earrings over big necklace., especially if you are going to be wearing a veil or headpiece as well.
I definitely feel like the necklaces are too much with that dress. To me, it feels like they are taking something away from the beautiful strapless neckline! I voted for drop dangle earrings-the bigger, the better! I think they would look beautiful, but would be far enough away from the dress to not interfere with it :)
I didn't vote because I can't decide. I'm a fan of the big earrings/no necklace look, but I'm going to be wearing my hair up. I think with your hair down, the effect of big earrings won't quite be the same. So I think simple earrings, but I can't decide between simple necklace or big necklace. You should definitely try a few things on with your dress if you can. It makes a big difference to see things in person.
I think it depends a lot on how long your torso is (i.e. how much space there is between your chin and the top of your dress), which is obviously different for everyone. I have a really short torso and nice (I think!) shoulders, so I really wanted to wear big, dangling earrings and let the dress speak for itself. My mom disagreed and there was a bunch of back and forth. At my last dress fitting I wore a neckace (just my plain pearls because I never bought a necklace) and decided that earrings were definitely right for me. HOWEVER, I have seen taller, longer torso-ed women in my dress with big necklaces, and they looked great.
I also have a very intricate gown. And I have decided to wear a mantilla veil with 4" beaded lace, so I am going to probably just wear stud pearl earrings and a very dainty necklace. I think you need to decide how you are going to wear your hair and if you are going to wear a veil, and if so, what type of veil or other hair ornament. If at all possible, try something on that you already own that is similar in size and shape to what you are considering with what you are wearing in your hair. That will give you a better idea of how they will look together.
mmm... i dont know! your dress will look nice with either big earring and tiny necklace or with small earring and big necklace... there are no rules.. you can do whatever you like... but i read that the perfect necklace for a strapless dress would br a chocker... do whatever makes you happy!
I looked this weekend for bracelets at the mall and didn't find anything. I am keeping my eye out for a good earring but I think finding a necklaces might actually be easier. There are a few sets over at white aisle that I like but don't know if I want to order online without seeing the quality.
i always say big earrings, i feel like big necklaces often take away from the dress and distract
if going with a necklace a three strand pearl choker might work.
Big earings all the way!!! I actually have a great pair that I wish I could lend you!
I'd say go with big earrings, no necklace since the top of your dress is beaded/lace. Looks gorgeous on you!
Aww Wildstyle you are so sweet. Can you post a picture and maybe I can find some similar to buy?
Have big earrings and a necklace. lots of girls worry about looking too bling, especially if they're not normally used to wearing that much jewellery. but you're the BRIDE, not just a girl... you need to really stand out, also for your pictures.
I definitely think that Big beautiful earrings will go well with this dress. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a necklace, if you choose. Sometimes necklaces tend to detract from the neckline. Bare necklines are beautiful! I am not wearing a necklace and I have not second guessed myself once!
I voted stud earrings and a simple necklace because that is what I'm doing. I also have a strapless dress with beautiful beading under the bust. I didn't want to take away from the beading (plus I tend to go simple and classic with my jewelery anyway). I'm wearing pearl studs and a single drop pearl necklace that has a couple diamonds on the side.
Statement necklace, pendant or something, but not all those pearls. Too much.
Love your dress!
To be honest, a lot depends on you and how you feel. Personally, I almost never wear necklaces, as I feel that I've got a short neck, so I much prefer wearing big dangly earrings. If I'd been accessorising my dress on someone else, I might have put them in a multistrand pearl necklace, like the blonde lady in your photos, but on me I though it looked crowded and cluttered.
I always feel stylish and pretty in big earrings, though.
Which do you normally wear?
I think just earrings would be elegant. I love the neck line and the dress is so beautiful that the pictures with necklaces all I saw where them, I was distracted away from the dress.
if u plan on having the bottom half of your hair down, u might wanna opt for a more subtle and less 'loud' necklace, even a petite stone can give a bling;) dangle earrings wud add a lovely touch. in my opinion, it depends on wat u want to focus...dont let one thing distract the other, but all must complement each other and bring out the best in u and what look u wud like to achieve. so pick ur very own style on ur special day!
Thanks for all the advice!! I tried on the dress again and decided to wear my moms pearl necklace with the dress. It isn't a full strand though which makes all the difference.

I still haven't found any earings to wear with it, but probably just a simple drop pearl.
Maybe something like one of these:

Big earrings! I have a strapless dress and most of the detail is around the bust and waist so I think a big necklace is to much-the earrings balance things out. But the way you wear your hair makes a difference too
Big earrings. Going sans necklace makes the neck always appear longer and keeps the focus up also, towards the face.
That's what i'm doing for a strapless. I am getting a strapless come rain or shine!

It seems there are two ways you can go with jewelry for a strapless dress. Either a big necklace or big earings. I think with either of those you can add a bracelet to.
I am really at a loss for jewelry with my dress. Basically it is your typical strapless dress at the top. Its got a big of lace and sparkle to it and its ivory in color. I plan on having the bottom half of my hair down and curled.
Here is the top of my dress in detail. this is the dress in white, mine will be ivory.
This is me in the dress:
Here are two other brides that wore the dress with a big necklace:
Here are a few other pictures, not sure what type of jewelry.
