We used the instrumental for Annie's Song for the bridal party. For me, I wanted Canon in D. Then our recessional was the instrumental for How Sweet it is. I don't know if you're looking for Jewish songs or not, but these worked for us.
Perhaps Dodi Li? Mr. HC ended up writing the music for the bridal party processional, my entrance, and our circling, but we've gone to two weddings where Dodi Li was sung for the processional.
We are going with classical not Jewish- Canon in D. Many Jewish brides I know have used it for the processional. I also like Vivaldi's Spring from the four seasons.
Thank you so much for your suggestions.
I do want to stick with a Jewish song although Canon in D and Vivalldi's spring are very pretty. Dodi Li is the one many Jewish brides will use, it's very nice but lately the versions I've heard are slow and sad, maybe I can find it in a different tempo.
It was was also suggested to use L'cha Dodi (different from Dodi Li) from Friday night services...thoughts?
L'cha dodi is beautiful, and I think Pharoahi's Daughters has a great upbeat version . . . .
Lecha Dodi is beautiful!!
I also love Mikimi by Yosef Karduner, the first part especially...
Erev Shel Shoshanim? I've played that for brides at a few weddings . . .although certain versions can sound kind of sad, I know what you mean . . . but it can also sound beautiful and kind of exotic/romantic.
How about something from Fiddler on the Roof? "Sunrise, Sunset" could be a beautiful song and its used in the show during a wedding! Its not a religious Jewish song, but it works culturally.
Thanks so much Bees. I love Fiddler and will probably end up doing a Father/daughter dance from it.
Good suggestion Curlyrogue. I've heard a few different versions, so so so beautiful but each time it makes me cry.
I found a great L'cha Dodi by Fortuna. It has this amazing Brazillian beat. I'm running it by a few friends now to see if it's too fast. So far all think it's a super pretty version. Thanks so much for the help!!

Hi,
What are the Jewish songs you are using for your processional? Everything I'm hearing sounds incredibly sad. They are beautiful but so sad. Really like to hear what else is out there that other brides are or have used.
Thanks!!!!
