Mazel tov! There were so many beautiful details. I especially loved the idea of having all the guests sign the ketubah!
Did you change your avatar? Ahhh so excited to read them!
Yep, KMSull. I really loved the photo of us under the chuppah, and ended up using it as my avatar.
Just making sure!
I usually recognize avatars before names, so I was second guessing myself!
Okay I just read your recaps! Love! But can you give me some more information about the glass mezuzah? What is it for/ what's the history of it/ where do you display it?
And those back-lit menus are FANTASTIC!
Would you mind sharing with us which Etsy seller made the mezuzah? Mr. Spaniel and I are looking to have something similar done. :)
KMSull, traditionally, Jewish people have a container on each doorpost of their house (the mezuzah) that contains certain Bible verses. The container can be made out of anything you want, and people will often get artistic ones. In our case, we had the glass we broke at the wedding melted and made into a case for the paper with those Bible verses, and will be putting it on the doorpost of our house.
Oh, and this was my old avatar, just so you can recognize me.

spaniel, the Etsy sell that made the mezuzah is Enid Traisman. Although she normally makes fused glass mezuzahs, this was her first time making one out of wedding glass. However, she did a great job at a surprisingly reasonable price, and did it quite promptly.
DVsMom, my wife wore 1980s vintage Stuart Weizman raw silk and lace boots. She found them on eBay, and bought them as fast as she could get her mouse into position!
Oh man! I don't blame her for snapping those up, they are SO awesome! I am going to start trolling ebay now.
Beautiful! Congratulations to you both! And it was super-cool to see Worcester in there :-)
... okay now that I know the story behind the mezuzah, that is SO cool!!! That's an absolutely fantastic reminder of both your faith AND your wedding! How totally awesome! Love, love, love that. Congratulations on your wedding!
worcesterbride, the funny thing is, we weren't getting married anywhere near Worcester. However, when I looked at the area in which we were getting married, the courthouses and the town/city clerks all seemed to be relatively far from each other. Since, like you, we had to get a waiver of the three-day waiting period, we decided to go for a city that was on our way up from DC, and that had the courthouse and the city clerk very close together.
