So I just bought the Jilian Michaels 30 day shred last night, im going to start monday. My wedding is in 2 months and I keep putting off losing weight. Though Im not overweight I am not happy with my body, I dont wanna look like a whale on my honeymoon. With that being said... Im extreamly motivated
Has anyone tried this workout?
I just started it last Monday! I made it through Thursday and then Friday and today I'm not able to do it, but I am feeling a little better about myself already. Hopefully we will both have success!
I tried it and didn't really like it. I felt like the exercises didn't get easier and I didn't see results, though I didn't do it every day for a month.
I like No More Trouble Zones much better.
I've done some of Jillian's videos before, but never in a row, or the way they should be done. I saw some before and after pictures of the 30 day shred, and it nearly convinced me to start it soon. However, I always come up with some huge plans for weight loss and I never follow through. I think I might start this tomorrow though too. I hope I continue with it! Good luck tomorrow!
I am actually on day 5 of this workout. If you stick with it the whole time, you can really feel a difference. I felt like all of my muscles got work. You will definitely build some muscle doing it ( not a ton) so the scale may go up or stay the same, so if I were you I would measure my waist to see the progress. I know It makes me feel better, I just feel more tone. lol. You really have to follow it and not take breaks though. anyway, hope this helps!
I've been doing this and It is intense! But I have so much more energy and I'm a lot happier! I love it even if I'm sore.
I have never tried the 30 day shred, it was always sold out when I went to buy it. So I ended up buying Biggest Losers, Last Chance Workout. I did it 5 times a week, for a couple of months and I ended up tighter than I had ever been in my adult life. Unfortunetly I gained all the weight back due to alot of life changes. But I recently joined a gym.
Goodluck, keep up with it and you will see results.
Yay!! I was just going to start a thread about this (yes, another one!).
I'm going to start today, just now actually. I'm super excited about it because I've read some many good things about it :D
I heard/read a lot of good things about it and bought it awhile ago but have yet to try it out. I wanted to start a serious exercise plan tomorrow and now I think this may be the the tiem to break out the CD. Thanks for reminding me.
All right, today I went from complete couch potato to level 1 day 1. I did the whole video, however I had to pause it for 30 seconds or so because I started getting really dizzy towards the end. So I got some water walked around the house and came right back. I feel good though now!
@becbaby: Did you do it today? How'd you do!?
Ok! Now that I'm breathing again...
I just did level 1 day 1 and OMG! she is tough! But I feel great because I did everything! I was dying! I know I'm really out of shape so I'm confident it will get better as I complete each level. I will even repeat the whole DVD if I need to! It'd be my 60 day shred!
I was planning on starting this today! I've had it for over a year and did the first day, and stopped lol. It's just under 3 months to the wedding, and it's also my birthday so I said I'm going to make a change TODAY! Good luck!
I currently work out with a personal trainer (and am seeing him tonight) but I'm going to try and add in this DVD on the days I don't see him.
I've done level 1 and level 2 in the past and the workouts are good. I just need to be more consistent.
Planning on starting it up again today....I did it everyday for a month back in college and people kept asking what my secret was to slimming down so quick haha...here's hoping I don't pass out
I havnt started yet, Gonna do it in an hour or so... Waiting on dumb laundry.
But Im going to try and eat healthy while I do this dvd. Hopefully ill see some changes. I took before pictures but im not going to dare post them till the end if I get good results haha. So lets do it together. keep each other updated.
ill let you know how it goes.
I've done it off and on for the past 2 months. I really like it, I've seen results, I'm more toned, I highly recommend it!
OMG just did it, think im gonna puke :( Deff a work out. Im gonna stick with it though
I'm starting this today, too. I actually did it for a few days not too long ago, but then our puppy decided the DVD looked like a fun chew toy. It's a good thing puppies are cute.
I'm picking up a new DVD later today and am combining this with my running routine. The program seems good for toning, but I feel like some additional cardio would help for a better overall workout.
I did this and then stopped doing it for awhile. I jumped back in about 2 weeks ago and have lost 6lbs. I also am following her diet plans. Good luck!
I got to about day 25 before going on holiday and noticed a difference for sure. I lost about 7lbs but I toned up loads.
Since coming back from hols I now do it once or twice a week as well us the gym and running and I've maintained it.
All my friends are on it now after noticing the difference it made for me!
I just finished day 2 level 1. It was actually easier today than it was yesterday. I had more energy, and I thought it was going to be more difficult since I'm still sore from yesterday, but it wasn't a problem at all!
Yay day 2! How's everyone else doing?
I just bought this DVD after reading all of the positive reviews...I'm excited to start it!
I had started up on this a while ago but dropped it when I picked up a 2nd job :-( Now that classes are starting up soon, I intend to put Jillian back into my schedule. One thing I love is that you can buy some of her dvds on iTunes. I've already got 30 Day Shred on my laptop and my iTouch..I may buy another favorite or two if I really love them. Good luck, ladies!! :-)
I just finished day 2, level 1. I HAD to take yesterday off because I could barely walk :(. But I did it today and felt better after I was done. Im sure it's gonna get easier!! :D
I just did day 3 yesterday, and finished day 4 today. (So far I'm 4/4)
Come on girls, don't give up!
I'm over 200lbs and I'm completely out of shape. If I can do it, you can do it!
It get's easier. I'm not even sore anymore! Start with the modified and work your way up through the days. You can do it!
I bought this a month ago. I am going to start tonight. Only 5 weeks until the wedding. I want to look super toned on my wedding day. I shouldnt have waited so long to start this. I have been doing other work outs though, so I am not completely out of shape. Keep it up ladies.
so girls ... i havnt done it since monday. Had to go out of town, family death :( But im gonna get back into it again today. After day one my legs hurt sooo bad though. they still kinda do
i'm so happy i searched for 30 day shred and found this. i'm joining in and will do my day one tomorrow morning. i'm vowing to actually do it for the full 30 days, even if i can't make it past level 1! i'll continue to check back in if you all keep doing the same - need the motivation!
Yes! We all need the motivation!
Im going to do my 4th day now, level one! Hopefully, next week I'll be ready to start level 2 :D
Funny note: my little niece said she wanted to do the dvd with me and yesterday she joined me. 5 minutes after starting she was like "oh God! This is CRAZINESS"!! LOL, It was so funny!
Alright Ladies! I did day one of the 30 day Kettle Bell workout yesterday, and I'm gearing up to do the 30 day shred today. I'm sore already, but going to push through it!
I went and bought it because you all raved about it, but I found it boring as all sin and not really that difficult. I do work out regularly, but I wouldn't consider myself super fit. I had to go to level 3 on the 3rd try and raise my weights to feel it.
Do I even have the right video? I'm gonna stick with my tae bo in the VCR...at least until the VCR dies.
@kermie: It's not thrilling, but for me, it gets me sweating and my muscles feel it the next day. Especially for a super fast work out. That said, if you can do level three on the thrid try, then it's probably not advanced enough for you. For me, I think it's a good entry into an aerobic routine and I'm hopeful for some sort of results if I keep it up.
Just finished day 5, level 1. I still can't do those last crunches, so I might have to stay a little longer in level 1.
I love this workout dvd. It does get boring, but it's super effective. I'm working through the "Ripped in 30" dvd that Jillian came out with earlier this year, and I am moving on to Level 2 today... I'm nervous, it's no joke!
