I have the following Jillian DVD’s and was wondering if you ever combined it together to get better results. I also have a treadmill. I have approx 6 months til a vacation with my sister to the Bahamas and want to lose about 40-50lbs. Is this do-able?

Some people swear by the Jillian Michaels DVDs, but honestly, I get really bored with them. I tried the 30 Day Shred, and it is the same workout for 10 days straight…I got to about day 4 before I called it quits. Do you have access to a gym? Do some serious weight training followed by cardio to really burn excess fat, and cut back on calories. I use MyFitnessPal.com (and so do a lot of other Bees!) to track calories. Losing weight is 80% what you eat, and 20% exercise. Eat healthy and clean (which usually involves cutting back significantly on carbs), and hit the gym 5 times a week.

I’ve been through 30 Day Shred, then moved onto Ripped in 30. I’m currently on Week 4 and decided to start doing more cardio (i.e., elliptical) mixed in with Ripped in 30 because I didn’t feel like I was getting enough cardio with the DVDs alone. IMO, the DVDs are good to get you moving but I second the above comment about eating.
