I never tried one on, but I had a friend who bought one and it was around $4000.  It was a similar style to what you’re describing.  I’d try looking on preownedweddingdresses.com or oncewed if you want to find pictures on a real bride.  When people are selling them sometimes they post pictures of themselves.  Hopefully that helps!

Jim Hjelm was my dream designer too. *sigh*. out of my price range. I think the cheapest one I saw was 3k, but I believe the majority of them are in the 4k range.

I was the same way.  All the dresses that I saved pics of  were Jim Hjelms.  They run 3-4.  I tried them on though, and ended up liking a Maggie Sottero better.  Maggie’s line runs 1-2.  Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

I love Jim Hjelm too! almost got one of his dresses, it would have been just under 3. I went Lazaro instead, I think I love that whole group of designers!

My dress was a JH, and I paid $3,300.  If you want to buy new, make sure you find a trunk show.  Every discount helps!  I absolutely LOVED my dress!

Don’t get it too far in advance so that the style is still current after your wedding.  Then sell it again when you’re done.  The total cost won’t be so much.

JLM brand dresses are made in the USA which I think is a nice thing to support too.  Too often the real price of cheap Made in China is the loss of jobs here.

It sounds like you know exactly what you want.  Why cure yourself?
