we don't diet for weight loss, but we do keep gluten free together. it's sooo much easier when we're both doing it. when one of us cheats, we both cheat! good luck!
We both eat healthy all the time, it's so much easier doing it together. We also workout together, but I find that I tend to skip often during my period, and he does too! Does that happen to you?
Artbee, you say you are doing a gluten free? Is either of you intolerent? I am, can't have gluten for health reasons, and am looking for a gluten free wedding cake recipe that would taste better than the c?&* you usually get with gluten free products. Any idea?
My FH and I dieted together before the wedding, but he totally fell off the wagon and I'm still going strong. When we were dieting together, though, he lost weight MUCH easier than I did, so be ready for that because it gets a little frustrating :-)
this isn't really a possibility since I think FI is already to skinny. Our deal is that for every pound I lose he has to gain 1 pound of muscle. hehe i almost wish I had more than 5 pounds to lose, (but not really).
Neither of us need to diet (i.e. we don't need to lose weight) but we are very encouraging of each other to stay healthy - getting enough exercise, eating good food most of the time, etc. With 3 weeks to go we are both making an extra effort now, particularly with cutting out the alcohol. We aren't big drinkers but we are social drinkers and for me especially going a month without a drink is unheard of. But so far, so good!!!
I'm trying to get my FI onboard but he's iffy. He's always been naturally skinny but has put on a few pounds over the past few years so although he looks just fine, he feels "fat" because he's filled out some. A few years ago he started running in the mornings and then hurt his knee which was a big deal bc he is a chef and it was hell on him to work with a bad knee. Since then he's always scared about working out past a certain level.
Anyway... I invested in P90x because I'd heard great things and also because he expressed interest in it. I figure if I get something he wants to do, it will be easier to get him involved. I told him if I could do it with my bad knees (4 surgeries!!) he can do it so hopefully that will work out :)

So FH and I have decided to diet together. The wedding is 9.5 months away. It will be great having an in house partner. But he can drop 20lbs just by thinking about it, not so much for me. Anyone else dieting with their FH before the wedding?
