I want to include my mum in my father/daughter dance (she did also raise me after all!) and I am already having her walk me down the aisle along with my dad and I want to include her in this too.. I just dont know how to go about it!
Say I find a song that will suit having both parents; how would I dance with the two of them? They are divorced and whilst they are big kids and will get along for the sake of us kids, I know they dont want to embrace either.
I am hesitant to do two different songs as I think my guests might get a bit bored watching me dance with FI, dad and mum seperately.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get this to work? I was thinking on using the song ‘Daughters’ by John Meyer or ‘Just the way you look tonight’ by Frank Sinatra

Maybe dance with one for half and the other for the other half. I think the three of you together might look a little silly.

Why don’t you have your FI dance with your mom while you dance with your dad?

- Wedding: June 2015 - Thorpewood
I went to a wedding recently where the bride danced with her dad and then her mom. Coming from the guests perspective, I didn’t get bored at all. I liked watching them dance together.

i danced with my mom for half the song and then my dad for the other half. didnt plan it that way, but we were doing a parent dance (daughter-father at the same time as mother-son), and my Dad was gone when it started so i took my mom, then my dad came back halfway thru the song and cut in.
