If my wife would treat me like Kate treats Jon, I'd be happy and excited to start a new chapter in my life.
If Jon would treat Kate the way she treats him, people would have been calling for him to go to jail for spousal abuse.
The reality is that if you want to stay married, don't do a reality TV show.

Thankfully TLC is finally doing the right thing... they've halted the production of the show! No one wants to see a family (who many of us have grown to love!) fall apart. It's heartbreaking. Those poor, poor children.
A lot of kids deal with issues & think that their parents divorce was their fault... can you imagine the pain that these kids will have to deal with? It's going to come up in the future... "if we weren't on tv or multiples then mommy & daddy would have stayed together" etc. Sad, sad, sad. :(
I kept hoping that their big announcement would be the show was coming to an end for the sake of their kids and marriage. It's a very sad situation for the kids and i just hope it all works out.
I think we all feel the same way about this situation. Whether your parents are divorced, married, separated, etc you always want what is best for your family. I think that they both made some mistakes throughout the last few years, and none of those things are easy to overcome. Maybe they let the show and their "brand" take over their lives, maybe they should have focused more on eachother and less on the fame, maybe Jon shouldn't have been out drinking at Kutztown on a Tuesday.
No one is perfect (lord knows not me), so I hate to judge them. However, I do hope that they have at least attempted to get professional help from a counselor, marriage professional, of some sort. This hasn't been discussed at all on the show, and I woul be very dissappointed in both of them if they simply gave up.
Makes you wonder if the fame, the money, the popularity is all worth it..
@emg: I did too! I thought they'd end the show & then Kate says at the end "the show must go on"... WHAT?! She's so delusional.
