We’re planning on going to the courthouse for financial and practical reasons about 4-5 months before our actual “wedding” celebration. Our wedding will only be 15 people or so, close friends and family, a sort-of destination wedding. All of our close friends and family and coworkers know and are fine with it, but I don’t know whether I should make it public (i.e., on Facebook, wearing our rings, etc.) I will be changing my name to his as soon as we do the legal ceremony but people might react weird if we only post the wedding pictures 5 months after the fact. So I was kind of thinking we could just not make a big deal out of it publically. Whoever is interested can definitely know, we’re not trying to hide it from anyone, but I was hoping to avoid all the confusion and judgments that come along with it.
So what do you think?
