@bella128:  I’m so happy you were able to see the sac in your early ultrasound 🙂  The baby is developing! That must be such a incredible feeling. I agree that last chapter is not enough … I will look into the book you mentioned.

@bella128:  That’s great news!! The next time I get a BFP I plan to have my progesterone checked immediately and put on suppositories asap if needed.

Thanks for the book recommendation, I’ll have to check it out.

I’m 6dpo at the moment and trying not to psych myself up. I keep telling myself it’s just a regular cycle and that AF will be here next Friday as usual. But the “maybe….” thoughts are swimming around my head like crazy. Thank goodness for fertility friend and tracking my post-O symptoms. Every cramp, boob pain, lower abd twinge I think “OH?” and then I bring myself back down to earth and look at my prior charts – all normal TWW stuff so far!! I haven’t had any spotting yet which is really good, not for pregnancy signs but just for pre-AF spotting in general. It drives me insane. I’m hoping it will stay away this cycle!!

Good luck to all the other ladies that are still trying and to all the newly preggo mamas. Sticky baby dust to all!!!

Checking in, because we saw a flicker of a heartbeat yesterday 🙂

I must say, it’s come after one of the hardest weeks of my life.  My father passed away 3 nights ago and I was sure that the stress alone would lose me the baby.  While my father was dying in the ICU, I had to go to the Emergency Room because I felt so ill.  They could only see a yolk sac on the ultrasound and my HCG was sky rocketed at 15,000.  They proceeded to tell me that was WAY too high, and second trimester numbers.

Anyways, I made it to be normal OBGYN yesterday who squahsed everything they said at the ER and after we saw the flicker of the heartbeat, they were quick to say that everything looks very good so far.

I still have brown bleeding, but I guess that’s how my body reacts to pregnancy?

I’m pretty sure I have a new guardian angel.

I’m still here but mostly lurking. MC was the first week of August. Got AF the first week of September and then got right back to trying but nothing so far. I’m on CD11 today of my second cycle trying since the MC. As much as I hate seeing AF show up, I think DH is actually more upset than I am. He wants this soooo badly. I saw how happy he was when I got that BFP and how devastated when it ended – I want to give him that happiness back!

Random question – when I got that BFP, I told DH by wrapping up a cute onesie. When I get another one (and I WILL get a sticky baby), do I tell him in a cute way again? I’m almost afraid to do something cute in case things go badly again. What did you all do??

@KateByDesign:  Oh my gosh, I am so so very sorry for the loss of your father. He is definitely your guardian angel now and hopefully watching over your LO. How awesome that you saw the heartbeat!!! Keeping you in my thoughts. FWIW, I don’t think 15,000 is too high at all. My hCG at 7w2d was 7,000 something and it was low, if it had doubled in 48 hours it would’ve been close to 15,000. That number varies greatly and the more I read about it, the less I am concerned about the number, more about whether or not it’s doubling.

@Glasgowbound:  It’s so hard, isn’t it? This is my third regular cycle after the MC cycle and I’m in the TWW (8dpo) and just started spotting so not hopeful. Last time I didn’t do anything cute, I called him at work immediately and just told him over the phone. This time I’m not sure if I would do anything as a surprise. Probably not, I think I would just tell him. We’re so nervous, it seems weird to do something like that. But I guess I’ll figure that out when I get to that point. Hopefully we all don’t have to wait too long!!

@jny1179:   Thanks, I really appreciate it.  The only thing with my HCG is that I was only 5w3d when that blood was taken.  So 15,000 was pretty high for that early.  But i’m not worried about the HCG now that the ultrasound looked good so far 🙂

I’m super frustrated!!!!!!! AF still hasn’t shown up after having my d&c last month.  It’s a week after I should have starrted and I was hoping I could start trying again this month.  I cant even begin to try again until that happens :-(. Emotionally I feel better, but I just want to bet back to normal!!!!!!!

Figured I’d come out of lurking for a bit. Currently on CD25, no idea when I O’d this cycle but it was confirmed I did with a Progesterone test. It’s really frustrating not knowing how many DPO I am.  I’m desperately trying to make myself wait until at least CD28, but it’s so hard! (TMI) My boobs are really swollen and painful to touch, which is exactly how they were the last time I got pregnant. Really trying not to get my hopes up.

Please give me some willpower to hold out! I don’t want to go through the disappointment of testing too early and getting a BFN.

@Glasgowbound:  Last time I gave my husband a baby sized gi (martial arts uniform), though only after I woke him up at 6am and waved a pee stick in his sleepy face. 🙂 I don’t think I’ll do anything like that next time. I figured I’d be to worried about it and just go with another round of pee-stick-in-the-face.

@KateByDesign:  My father was in the ICU when I was 5 weeks along.  I had brown and red spotting and went to the ER at 5 weeks 3 days.  My HCG was at 13,000 and they said everything was normal.  I’ll be 15 weeks tomorrow and so far so good!

@MrsFireChief:  I was in the same boat last week! I understand how incredibly frustrating it is. It took AF 4 weeks 5 days to show up for me. Felt like eternity! I started temping last week and the day before AF came my temp took a significant drop … I assumed it was on the way and sure enough. Do you temp? It’s really helpful. How many weeks has it been? I made a poll about this last week and the avg seemed to be between 4-5 weeks. On other blogs I saw it took others between 6-8 weeks.

@BRbee:  That’s exactly how I felt both times I was PG. I now know the difference between my sore boobs before AF arrives and the painful extra sensitive sore boobs I get when I’m KU. I hope this is it for you! If possible wait until the day your period is due. I know it’s hard but it’s worth the wait … testing too early and seeing BFN’s are so disappointing. Fingers crossed for your BFP. Keep us posted!

@xdaydreams05x:  Thanks! I figure one pleasant side effect is my house will turn out spotless while I keep myself busy and away from the pregnancy tests! :p

@MrsFireChief:  It took AF 5 weeks to show up after my D&C, though my cycle is pretty irregular so I was pleased with that. I hope it shows up fo you soon!

@BRbee:

@xdaydreams05x:

Thanks for your responses!  I’m so excited. I started spotting tonight!!!! Never been so happy to see AF in my whole life. Lol. It took me 4 weeks 5 days as well.  Makes me feel better to know that is normal!!

I dont temp because cause I feel that would just add to the pressure. So I just estimate ovulation. My cycle used to be very regular 28 days like clockwork. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if it still is.
