Can you havea judge officiate a wedding on private property? How would this even work?
My fiance is not religious and I don’t really like traditional religious institutions or leaders in my personal life. So we’d really rather have someone marry us in a strickly legal capacity. Any suggestions? I can’t think of anyone I know who I would want to marry us, so that’s out, too.

There are many judges that after they retire; they then become wedding officiants. Most do travel to your location and perform only civil ceremonies. Good luck.

I know here any justice of the peace or judge can officiate, generally speaking it’s the justices of the peace who do weddings outside of the courthouse though. It might depend on the state though.
