I am not in California but what I did was go to the county's website where I was getting married and they had a list of judges that do weddings. Some will only do it in their chambers and others were willing to go to a location. The website listed both & their phone numbers. We contacted a couple and found our officiant. I hope this is helpful.
I was always curious how you actually find a judge. A judge in our city is actually a family friend of my fiance's, so we called him up immediately. But if he hadn't been able to do it, I would have been very confused about what to do.

Hi everyone! Does anyone have suggestions on how to find judges to officiate for a wedding in Southern California? I saw that Judge William Monroe had served as officiant for knottie Mrs.Pootiekins's wedding and would love to find contact information for him or any other judges. Should I be soliciting them from their chambers? o_O
