My interest was piqued by the "Real Weddings: Liezl & Michael" post – Liezl said she highly recommended having a JukeBox at her reception. Has anyone else done this, or heard about it? How does it compare to an iPod-playlist wedding? I’d love to knock this idea around and see what other people think…

I saw that – i think its so cool! Then people can pcik songs, it keeps them entertained….fun! the only thing is, sometimes people could not keep it going, and then dead silence. Is there a way to keep it going when no one plays something? And you also have to have enough different choices to keep it going for the standard 5 hours.

I would say have someone on stand-by like an usher to select songs when no one else is. Since you won’t have a DJ, you might have to designate someone as your master of ceremonies who can now and then remind guests to select songs. Of course, most of the jukeboxes I’ve seen are noticeable, so it might not be a problem. Maybe put a note at each guests’ table explaining how it works.
