We've nailed down the church and reception venue. The honeymoon is booked.
We're in the process of interviewing photographers (a hard decision for me), florists, and DJs. I may have found a dress (long story) - and hope to decide on that this week.
What is everyone else working on?
Here's my list: (I already have a dress, shoes, bridesmaid's dress, photographer, locations for ceremony and reception, some transportation worked out, and know what the plan is for guest accomodations).
1. I want to have the details of the Save the Date pamphlet (yep, a pamphlet) done so that my friendor can design it in November, have it printed in the first of December, we can address envelopes and mail it the first of January.
2. Finalizing the guest list, inclduing addresses and contact phone numbers for when we need to chase down RSVPs in June.
3. Asking my cousing to DJ (that's a phoen call on te way home one night, I just keep forgetting!).
4. Making reservations at the campground (informal lake wedding- some peeps will camp).
... but we're also 10 days out from our house being finished, so I don't have a lot of time to devote to wedding planning. I'm trying to give my mom/ his mom all the stuff they need to get me what I need from them, so that once I hit mid November I'm ready to rock and roll...
This is my first posting...what a great site!! So I'm getting married July 16th and so far I have the church and reception booked, the photographer and videographer, florist and DJ. I have ordered my dress, which I'm obsessed with, and picked out the bridesmaid dress. This month my goals are to:
1. Get the guest list finalized...we are a bit over!
2. Send out the save the dates, since we are a Friday in July I wanted to get them out soon
3. Get some of my girls to order their dresses
4. Decide on transportation..thinking of the 16 passenger Escalade..so pretty.
I have my venues & photog, but still need to book plane tickets (ugh).
STDs are sent, so next is all the details... Flowers and florists being at the top of the list. :)

Our wedding is July 10th - yay, a couple of date twins already
this month, things have been stepping up a gear for us.
1. I have been on my first couple of wedding dress trying on sessions
2. we're meeting potential vendors (day of co-ordinator, florists, cake lady)
3. re-visiting our venue, meeting caterer for first time (we don't live near our venue, everything with our caterer has been online - our venue only deals with one caterer!)
4. ordered OOT bags and clear bags for favours & placecards (I decided I needed to get on & order something before i changed my mind...again!). won't be doing much more with them for a while yet though.
5. choose a band (I'm hoping we're nearly there on that one). am so over all the internet searches, and writing unreplied to emails
6. engagement shoot - well, it's technically on Nov 2 :)
7. writing lots of lists!
it's great to read where other people getting married at the same time are up to with planning
We have locations for the ceremony/reception, a photographer and my dress. I feel ok with our progress, but you all are really rockin' it out!
My main goal now is to narrow down which engagement photos we want retouched and order a couple for us. With that done, I can finish up the website I built and have the image for the front of the save-the-dates (hopefully going out within the next month)
Hi July brides!
So far we're set on:

2.) cake
3.) invites
Hurray and Hello to all the date twins!! You picked a great day
The only reason all that is done is becuase I slacked the begining of the semester.

Right now I am working on finding a photographer, DJ and florist. I'm pretty sure I know who I'm going to book for a DJ and photographer..I just need to officially book them. I have an appt. at a bridal salon this coming Saturday so hopefully I can decide on my dress and the bridesmaid dresses then!
July 24 here:
Done - venue, dress, website, wedding planner, save the dates (already sent out)and we have a logo we're using on things.
Need to do next - caterer, photographer, rentals (we need a tent, tables, linens, china, EVERYTHING!) I think we'll book the officant this weekend.
In progress - OOT bags (I'm silkscreening them) matches and cigar labels, water bottle labels, those kinds of "crafty" things.
I feel SO behind. You guys are kicking it!

I need to go to David's Bridal or something and find my perfect bridesmaid dress color
Going to see my dress because it just came in!
I've been engaged for 10 months already and I'm doing my best to pace myself...it was hard to hold back on planning for a while!
July 24 here too!
Reading about all that you gals have accomplished just completely stressed me out. I've got venues, a caterer, a photographer, and my bridal party. Everything else is still in the works! Ahhh! I'm getting my dress in a couple of weeks (4 day vacation to the "big" city to shop ... I will not leave without a dress on order) and I feel like I can't do anything else until I have a dress. It seems like it will play such a big part in setting the tone of the wedding.

I'm sending out my STDs this week! Eeek! With so many out-of-town guests and our date being so close to a holiday, it seemed appropriate to get them out this early. I'm so excited... it's getting more "real" now.
I'm a 4th of July bride!
So far: venue, photographer, band is booked. Engagement pics are done (waiting to get those back still). Bridesmaid dresses are finalized but will wait to order for a little bit (waiting on JCrew spring 2010 to come out). MY DRESS!
Still need to: design, make, send STD's. Book a florist. Pick food menu and cake (we have to wait until our venue designs their 2010 menus). Invitations. Find shoes, jewelry for me. Find accessories for my bridesmaids. Rent uplighting and a dance floor. Pick music for cocktail hour and make Ipod list. Book the rabbi.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff that I need to do :)
November
Decide on STD picture
Finalize Guest List
Try to decide on my dress
Send STD for printing

Send Accomodations/Response cards for printing
I think that's all....
This month I need to:
1. finish the save the date design, have them printed, and mail them
2. order my dress
3. shop for BM dresses and hopefully pick them out, but definitely pick a color
4. set up cake and menu tastings
5. finish our wedding website
6. book a florist... this one might get pushed until january though.
7. figure out timeline for the day
8. continue with church marriage prep
9. decide if I want a videographer
July 24 here! Glad to see so many date twins.
We have done:
-Booked a venue (ceremony and reception)
-Booked a caterer, who is taking care of all the rentals, woohoo.
-Booked a photographer
-Booked a videographer (SO EXCITED about Elysium Productions!)
-Booked a DJ
-Almost booked a florist (I interviewed three, and picked one, I just need to email her to confirm)
-Booked our pastor
-Reserved blocks of rooms at two hotels near the venue
-Nearly solidified the guestlist, with tentative approval from both families (whew)
-Tried to book our cake-baker since I know who we want, but the most they would let me do is book a tasting for March. Oh well, I'm considering that nearly checked off.
Currently working on:
-Save the Dates! Need to buy materials, ask a friend to help with the illustration, buy magnet paper, print and assemble the things, mail them. December should be fine to mail them out. Everyone already knows our date anyway.
-The dress. I'm narrowing it down, I just need to find the one I liked on the East coast in a shop over here. Should be possible.
-Ceremony music. I just need to email back one of these ensembles after I pick one. Several of them sound good.
-Rehearsal dinner. I know, not my job, but the FMIL has been in touch with me about it and I've been giving input, and it looks like it's going to be awesome!
-Marriage counseling! We're taking a marriage prep class at the church and it is awesome.
Need to do:
-Invitations. Everything. I know what I want to do, but I have to do it.
-Favors. I have it all planned, but I have to get moving on assembling.
-Honeymoon. I have pretty much decided where I want to go, but we have to book soon.
-Bridesmaids dresses. We'll get to look at some when I see my sister over Thanksgiving. Don't want to jump the gun on this, as one BM is trying to lose weight.
-Book the DOC. I am pretty sure I want one that was recommended for a good price in my area.
-DIY projects, details, the fun/crazy/stressful stuff.
-Engagement photoshoot, but that's going to have to wait until my hair grows out a good deal more and FI's hair grows out the purple and blond he bleached it for a charity fundraising event.
-Get my family and FI's family to fill in everyone's addresses!
