yeah!  I was waiting for someone to start this thread.  I tested positive last sunday.  Today I am 4 weeks 5 days.  I have no symptoms except for extreem constipation.  I haven't had a BM in about a week.  But other than that I feel totally normal.

Me and DH are cautiously excited.  This was only our 2nd month trying and our 1st month charting.  We feel very lucky.

I have my first dr. apt set for Nov. 7!  Praying for a sticky bean!!

An online calculator said that my due date is July 1st :)

@kelly105:  Congrats! Sorry however what does BM mean?

We are over the moon too, taking also very cautiously. Since you found out as well have you been particularly weary on what you eat?

This is our 2 month and we consider ourselves also very blessed!

@lieb1984:  BM means bowel movement   ;)  haha

I'm not really watching what I eat.  I'm just trying to eat more nutritious food.  I typically skip breakfast and lunch.  So now I'm forcing myself to eat lunch - which is usually a subway sandwhich.  Oh, and I have stopped drinking my starbucks.  i switched out for maxwell house... which has less caffeine.

My biggest problem is that I take medication for ADD and I am fairly useless without it.  It's really hard to me to function when I don't take it.  So I'm wrestling with that.  I think I am going to try and ween myself off of it, or at least lower my dosage.

Also, I have IBS which is not helping with the typical constipation that comes with pregnancy.  But at least I am use to the IBS symptoms.

    Hi there!!

So good to hear from everyone!

Im a july 1st due date as well and also just found out we're pregnant!! About 24hrs ago and still in some shock. Slept about 2 hours still in disbelief!!- It wasn't even a proper cycle of trying !! so feeling extremely lucky and fortunate. I have been prepping the body (healthy eating, meditation, exercise) for a while though so that must have helped , but For advice out there - cos it was just our first cycle we didn't even try hard, then we went on beach holiday and did all the active stuff you usually do - snorkeling, bicycle riding, kayaking, and I remember saying what the heck, I'm going to enjoy my holiday and not worry that im in tww and bang, I get pregnant! Amazing how stress and emotions play into it.

But yea a July baby! Feeling good albeit for some headaches and inmonsonia.

Still to sort an OB appointment. We just moved countries so gotta get some recommendations. And booked in to do some acupuncture which I love in this first trimester.

Dont want to tell many people yet (I'm 39 so a bit higher risk) but have told two close friends.

Happy and healthy 9months to all!!!

Congrats to all the new mommas-to-be! I'm 33 weeks & on the December board & love reading all the new pregnancy posts. For some reason today they affected me more than usual. I read a few brand new ones and the excitement is contagious, I remembered those first few moments of shock, fear & pure joy!

A happy & healthy 9 months to all!

@MaggieF:  Oh, i think my initial reaction was pretty priceless.

I was home alone.  I wasn't going to see DH until the next day.  I took the test... not really expecting a BFP.  So when i saw the BFP I said, "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?"  then I looked up at the mirror, then back down at the test.  then I put the test down and walked into the next room.  then I walked back into the bathroom and looked at the test again.  then I put the test at arms length to see if I could still see the double line.  Then I flashed the test in the mirror to see if I could still read it backwards.  Then i scratched my head...

It's still hard to believe because I don't have the typical symptoms.

You know how they say that 20-30% of pregnancies end in MC?  well, I'm looking at this pregnancy as if that % is much higher.  Meaning, I'm kindof pessamistic about the outcome and I'm trying to brace for a MC.  I know alot of people who have had a MC so I'm kinda bracing for it.

    Hi July Mamas,

I can join you, bc I got my BFP today! With my cycle puts me at about July 5th. I'm sitting here waiting for hubby to get home to tell him!!!

I'm joining this board cautiously, bc I went on the May boards, and then had a MC. I'm still very worried and scared of that happening again, just trying to think the best.

I'm in such awesome shock at my BFP today, before I even saw AF again. I really couldn't believe my eyes when the test came out positive!!!

*wishing myself major sticky baby dust!*

Really hoping that this one sticks, I'd love to have a July baby, 7 (7th month) seems to always be a lucky number for hubby and me. FX.

Congrats to the July'ers and wishing everyone a healthy 9 months. :)

@kelly105:  I'm no pharmacist, but look up St John's wort as an alternative to the ADD meds. It's natural - don't know if it's safe during pregnancy though, just check it out

    Hello all!!

This is all so exciting!; Maggie F i was also home alone when i found out!  I am pretty sure (it is all a bit blurry) I was shaking and jumping up and down and continuously checking the test, i couldn't believe it. My mum was due to come home and had to leave the house to avoid telling her first before hubby!

I amalready steering clear of cafine, soft cheeses and seafood etc!

My due date should be the 6th July. I am so glad to be able to be sharing it with you guys!

Hi Everyone!  Congratulations on your BFP's! :)

I got my BFP last weekend and did originally join the June thread as the Dr I went to estimated me being due mid to late June (he said go by a 28 day cycle even though I know I ovulated on cycle day 33!) but based on my chart I think its more like 1st July and the midwife I have chosen also said 1st July.

I am booked in for a dating ultrasound in a few weeks so will know for sure but I still have little to no symptoms so think I am more likely where you ladies are at! :)

@lieb1984: Thats neat you have told your Mom, but must have been hard to hold it off to tell DH first!  I am still having my morning coffee but not eating any soft cheeses, soft drinks etc.  I am actually eating way healthier than normal, lots of fruits and veges etc.

@kelly105:  This was our second month trying too!  Thats neat you have told a few people - were they excited?  I feel the same as you in that I don't believe it yet as I feel almost completely normal!

@cjfs:  Lucky you - first cycle!  I have heard people say it can happen when you dont stress :)

@Sunshine09:  Sorry about your MC, I really hope this is a sticky baby for you!  How did your DH react when you told him? :)

@As_You_Wish:  Sorry about your MC too, and im hoping for a sticky baby for you too!  When is your DH back?  It must be hard having this little secret to yourself!

    @luli29:  @MaggieF:  @mandb122:  Thanks ladies!

DH and I haven't told anyone at all yet.  We want to wait until our dating scan in a few weeks and then we will prob tell our parents as I think his Mum has already guessed, we were at a family gathering and I said no to wine and she stood up for me whereas usually she would say have one anyway or make a fuss over why I didn't want a drink.

We are hoping that if our dates are right we will tell the extended family at Christmas as everyone will be gathered together then anyway.

Wow - sorry for the novel!

@Snickers95:  I put the tests (I had done 2) disguised into the table place settings and was just puttering in the kitchen, he came in, we chatted and then he saw them on the table, and he stopped, looked closer and then said "what is...ARE YOU PREGNANT?! ARE YOU PREGNANT?! and kinda jumped and ran into the kitchen and scooped me up and hugged and kissed me. It was awesome. :)

We're both so happy, now we just want to make sure everything is fine. We're not telling anyone yet. We'll probably wait until after first ultrasound. We still can't believe it, so amazing.

It's really hard for me to not worry though. I know a lot of women have a mc and then go on to have a perfect pregnancy, but I keep squeezing my boobs every few hours to see if they still feel sore (bc last time I lost my symptoms a few days before) and loving the bouts of nausea that started yesterday, and reassuring myself that symptoms will continue to come later - I'm only about 4 weeks. I feel pretty strong so far though so I hope it sticks.

@Sunshine09:  Aw that is so sweet!

@lieb1984:  Thats great you are still feeling good.  I still dont really have any symptoms apart from being a bit tired.  DH and I went to the Dr last week, our Dr is away so we had a fill in.

The fill in Dr confirmed the pregnancy (got me to POAS), weighed me, took blood pressure, asked about family history, gave me a referral for a blood test, went through what to eat,  gave us tonnes of phamplets to go through and talked about our options in terms of midwife or private OB.

I really really wanted to know the due date and I think usually you get that but because this was only my 2nd cycle off the pill and I can't remember what they were like before getting off, the Dr was undecided as last cycle was 49 days.  So I have a dating scan booked in for the 12th November which I cant wait to have!

    Hi everyone!

Its quite something being preggers, isn't it? I mean it takes time to believe! And I've been wanting to do POAS everyday just to confirm its still there!

I'm sleeping a lot better although boobs are v sore. And starting to get some queasiness (do we have to have a plastic bag akways with us?!). But today felt the best, energy wise, since we found out. headaches not so bad too. I am scared about a mc cos they seem quite recurrent so trying to take it easier too.

But I'm feeling quite emotional and lonely - overwhelmed really with everything. I just moved 8000 miles to be with my FI, to a totally different country and finding it very difficult to understand the  health system here, including finding an ob (how i wish I had a friend here who could give some serious insights!). Also trying to find us a suitable home (I'm in aus where renting is just as impossible as walking on water!!), and on top of it all FI travels for work 22 days out of the mOnth. So I'm always alone and lonely, noone to really share and get support. And it's all overwhelming. Crying just about everyday. I feel very blessed with this pregnancy of course as was prepping my body since start of year, and we'd thought itd take much longer, but just never thought it would happen so quickly! I am older, today 40, with a borderline diminished ovarian reserve, so go figure!

Anyway super sticky baby dust to all!!!

@lieb1984:  hi! I'm having a doctor appointment tomorrow. It's with a general doctor though, not the midwife or the OB as here in Aus they don't see you until at least week 8. First scan here is only on week 11 (don't know I can wait that long!). Anyway I'll tell you what my appt is like tmr. Have so many questions!!

@cjfs:  hey! Great to hear that you are living in oz too!  I have an appointment with the doctor thursday bur i think it will be just to confirm the pregnancy and then like you said  go to an appointment approx at eight weeks to talk more details about options that are available to me throughout the pregnancy. I am looking atbbirthing clinic.

    Welcome and congrats again!!!

I can't wait to hear from all of you how you go at your first appointments. I know i am so excited about mine

@cjfs:  It does take time to believe! I also want to just keep peeing on sticks to make sure it's real!

Funny bc I had no symptoms at all before I POAS, except for almost falling asleep in a meeting, but I thought it was just bc I was bored. lol That's especially why I was super surprised when I got my beautiful BFP!

But then the very next day I really felt my boobs feeling fuller and nipples sore, and little waves of nausea, coming and going, very minor. That's really about it so far. I'm watching my diet and avoiding the bad things and really trying to cut my caffeine as best as I can.

Have my Dr. appt tonight, I already know she's going to send me straight back to the blood lab, and give me a req for an ultrasound. And then it'll probably just be waiting for that for next steps.

@cjfs:  So sorry you're feeling lonely. :( Stick with us here and we can be a support.

Amazing to be prego at 40, good for you! I'm 35, so I can understand a little bit. By the time we have #2 or #3 I'll easily be 40.

Can you just google Dr's accepting new patients in your area?

I've had a tension headache almost every day for the past week and a half. I sometimes get migraines and have prescription migraine medication but unfortunately it's not safe to take while pregnant. I also find that I'm peeing a lot more lately!!! Between the headaches and the peeing I'm not getting quality sleep at night.

I haven't called my family doctor to set up an appointment yet for bloodwork, etc. I honestly don't want to see him after how he dealt with me when I had my MC a few months ago. Unfortunately it's really hard to get a family doctor in Ontario (I was on a waiting list for over 2 years to get this doctor!) so it's not like I can just switch to someone else.

@Sunshine09:  I've been taking tylenol almost every 4 hours and it takes the edge of but doesn't get rid of my headache completely. Vicks sounds like a good idea. I will have to try that!

    Hi ladies!

Thanks for The words of support. It just crazy that I'm preggers right now when I'm far away from everything I know, in a temp accommodation and when FI travels all the time. Never did I think I'd get BFP do quickly, that's why we started anyway, to wait it out. My previous obgyn even said I may have to do AI and ovaric stimulation! It's nearly a miracle.

Anyway. Just back from GEN DOC here in aus and it was all very routine. Gives you info on OB in the area and pregnancy timeline (not happy that in aus you only do two ultra sounds during the entire pregnancy). Did urine and blood tests, Surprised they didn't check blood pressure. And gp answered all the guilizion questions I had.

One thing I learnt from gp that didn't know before, was that NO LEFTOVER FOOD. That is nothing that's not freshly cooked or opened (in the case of big tubs of yogurt and cans). Also no eating in buffet like restaurant for the same reason. Cos of listeria.

Also right Now, where we all are mostly at (5 weeks) is when it's all forming so mega important to avoid all medications. Regarding headache she recommends stuff like head massage, drink water, lights off, tv off. Panadol only if extremely mega necesary. Same with anything to help you sleep. Nothing thing over the counter. lord help us!!!

Hugs to all, keep us all posted on how you're dwelling.

@Sunshine09:  Hi! Yea I could google OB but it's kinda nIce ti go to one that's been recommended to you by a friend, you know. Just some more reassurance. But have a list to work with now. It seems many get booked up quickly here in perth so it may just mean who's available.

hi bees, thought we'd do this questionaire that may and june ladies do to get to know each other's story better!

    EDD: July 1, 2013

How Far Along: 5 weeks 1 days

How long TTC: We got SUPER lucky on our first try (charting but not full on, just OPk and CM) Kinda of a miracle with my bordeline diminised ovarian reserve (fsh of 9.4 and antal folicle count of 9) and my age - just turned 40, but have been doing a lot of meditation, visualation, yoga, acunpunture, eating right and we were on fantastic beach holiday when conceived so that could have helped!

    First Child: Yes!!

Boy/Girl: foremost a healthy, full term baby!! Now having said that, me a girl, my FI a boy (but I go back and forth)

First doctors appointment: did first general doctor appointment today. First Midwife appointment booked for 8 week mark

How do you feel: Pretty drained, walk up one flight of staircase and feel Ive climbed a hill! Feel like a flu is hitting, you know the feeling just before? Also a bit of quessiness, nausea, not much appetite although get weird hunger pags and feed myself, BM 2-3 a day!! Sore boobs at night, light crampng. Crazy imnosonia la first nights, now ok, but still wake up super early.

Who have you told: Apart from yoga instructor and acupunturist who had to know, just a good friend back home and a friend here. FI has had previous mc with his ex so he's very sensitive to us telling yet. Will only tell more people past 8, even 12 weeks. Its so difficult though not to tell. Was talking to a friend about TCC only yesterday and felt bad "omitting" my update. Didnt lie but just omitted. Wish I could tell my parents, but not yet. Oh and did test with FI/FH so obviously he knows!

Cravings: Gosh, i wish i had some cravings, for now have to force myself to eact. Potatoes and pasta seem to be high on desirable foods! Will miss sorely my wine!

    Hey Ladies

I havent had my first scan yet, but according to FF I am due in July so I thought i'd join this thread.

Thank you lieb1984 for starting it and cjfs for starting the Q/A.

I'm very excited to be a part of the July 2013 club and I cant wait to get to know all of you and share all of our milestones.

EDD: Either 3 or 5 July 2012 - FF gives me two different dates. I guess i'll only know the true date after our first scan.

How Far Along:  4 weeks 6 days

How long TTC: This was our 4th real cycle trying, but the 5th in total

    First Child: Yes!!

Boy/Girl: I always used to say that I hope I have a girl one day, but now that I am pregnant and it's all so real, i dont care anymore. What I hope and wish for is a happy and healthy baby. Boy or girl, i'll be over the moon.

First doctors appointment: I went to see my GP so she could give me a referral to the gynae I would like to go to. I've had my bloods done twice, once last wednesday and again yesterday. My HCG levels went from 61 to 676. I find HCG levels really weird because the variance from person to person is ginormous.

How do you feel: Im generally happy and excited. I get tired by about 4pm but I try to hold off on having a nap because i'm hoping it will mean a full nights sleep for me. This whole insomnia thing isnt so cool.  My boobs have started growing and my nipples are rather tender. I've broken out like a teenager on my back and face, but there's nothing I can do about it and I refuse to cover it in makeup because im scared it will just make things worse. I def get more hungry these days, but i try to ensure all my snacks are healthy. Oh and my emotions are insane, i start crying at the drop of a hat.

Who have you told: Our parents and our nearest and dearest friends.

Cravings: I'm not a fan of red meat or milk, but for the last two weeks i've been craving red meat dishes plus these chocolate milk drinks they sell in the shops here. It is ridiculous. OOOOh yes, i cannot stomach my favourite chocolate at all anymore, just the thought of it makes me gag.

    @ilovestripes:

    EDD: July 5, 2013

How Far Along: 4 Weeks, 3 Days

How long TTC:  We were pretty lucky as we decided we would start TTC after our German Wedding ( which was in Sept). We did not expect to be so blessed and receive a BFP so early! :D

    First Child: Yes!!

Boy/Girl: For both of us is that the baby is as healthy as possible. However I cannot help myself but look at all the cute little baby dresses

First doctors appointment: I have my general doctors appointment this Thursday, from there we will make the rest of the appointments! Cant wait!!

How do you feel: Not trying to make you bees feel bad, but I am feeling pretty good on the whole! The only real symptom is sore breasts, but otherwise great.. It is making me scared that it may all set later on....

Who have you told: I have only told my mum and dad. However I am really wanting it to share it with a few more friends!!! We have decided to wait until after the first trimester to share it with everyone. Plus we thought it would be in perfect timing with Xmas to share the amazing news!

Cravings: Coffee!! I guess now that I cannot drink it! I am drinking however decaf which is helping.. I have a sweet tooth of late that I dont normally have. Otherwise, as normal!

I am looking forward to sharing the next 9 months with you guys. What I would like to share as well is that as I am Australian and my husband German, although we had our wedding in Sept. We are having a small wedding celebration in Sydney on the 10th, I am sooo worried I will not fit in my dress again... Especially with the growing boob problem! Wish me luck bees!!!!

    EDD: July 5, 2013 (I'm hoping for a July 7th baby - 7/7)

How Far Along:  I think about 4w 3d

How long TTC: First month after mc in Sep, BFP again Oct 26th before AF even came back

    First Child: Yes!!

Boy/Girl: Either, honestly. At this point I just want a healthy baby. But, DH wants a boy. He doens't think he'll know what to do with a girl. I want either.

First doctors appointment: yesterday, sent me for blood work

How do you feel: Today, awful. Insomnia last night, coming down with a cold, strong waves of nausea, some light cramping, sore breasts. I also feel nervous, don't want another mc. Trying to stay positive that this one will work.

Who have you told: Had to tell some coworkers bc I work in a potentially dangerous physical environment. So they had to know why I couldn't jump in and help.

Cravings: Not really much, but I didn't want chicken last night. blech. I also miss wine!

    EDD: July 4, 2013

How Far Along:  the pregnancy app on my phone says 4w 5d

How long TTC: We got pregnant our first month TTC in June and then had a miscarriage at 7 weeks. We've been TTC ever since then.

    First Child: Yep!

Boy/Girl: The first time I was pregnant I was convinced I was having a girl. This time I have a strong feeling that it's a boy. I'd be happy with either a boy or girl though. I just want a happy, healthy baby.

First doctors appointment: I haven't gone yet. I'm going to call him today to set up an appointment. My doctor was a bit of a jerk when I was going through my MC and I haven't gone back to him since. I'm really not looking forward to seeing him. :S

How do you feel: I have constant tension headaches and today I feel slightly nauseous.

Who have you told: DH and I are the only ones who know. With our first pregnancy we told our immediate family right away but since the MC we're a lot more cautious. I think we'll probably tell our parents around the two month mark and everyone else at 12 weeks.

    Cravings: Bacon...mmmm
