didnt mean to offend anyone. no one needs to answer the 2nd question if you wish not too! i just remember from thread 3 some of us were leaning towards one or the other. id love a girl, because out of my friends and family, theres over 20 boys under the age of 5 running around and only 3 girls! crazy the difference! but of course id be just as happy for a boy!
before we know it, we'll be saying what we are having! like ilovestripes. woo!

no no no leave it! I always wanted a girl because girls are yours forever... boys are yours until they get married;).... I have a feeling, as does my mom and DH, that it's a boy.
Honestly I just want a healthy baby... very nervous about Monday's scan!

I think I'm having a boy, but everyone else thinks that it is a girl. We'll see soon enough!
@CindyRelly: weird that must have been the only part that saved! it allows more than one voting option too. for every bee and pregnant lady i know, the scans have all turned out great! positive thoughts your way :) i dont think were getting the nt scan done :( our insurance doesnt cover it because its our first year with this insurance company and i think its thousands of dollars out of pocket. so i hope everything will continue to be ok with our babe too! all will be well!
@Mrs-Sunflower: ditto! people said im carrying "high" so they think its a girl. lol im not sure if you can say that im carrying high or low yet, but oh well! i still think boy. dh used to keep saying boy and hes saying girl now too. were gunna try to find out at 16w! end of this month!
@wifegoodman: I'm not sure if you are carrying high or low quite yet. I think it's too early. But I'm so jealous of your bump! I will take a picture at 11 weeks on Friday. I might wait longer because there is nothing yet except my little gummy bear baby wiggling around.
I voted that I think I'm having a boy. Been having dreams about it and my FI James has as well. But I have no preference. I'd be happy with a healthy baby, boy or girl.
@wifegoodman: Funny that people are telling you you're carrying high at only 11 weeks. I think it's too early to tell, but you sure do have an impressive bump.
I voted boy even though i have confirmation of sex as I felt strongly that it would be a boy.

@H2MrsDj: we've shared the gender cos that was quite a clear picture of a willy, also I didn't feel like another few weeks of family members predicting a girl when every part of me just knew it's a boy. It's going to be quite a shock if he turns into a she after seeing that scan. Just two weeks til my next gynae appointment, I'm pretty sure I'm going to ask her to double check the sex at every app. I can't wait to see him again.
Have any of you started thinking about prams and car seats yet? I duno how we're going to choose, there are so many options and so many things to think about. We're ordering our cot and compactum later in the month, we're having them made which takes about a month so we'll have them by the end of Feb. I'm one of those get everything ready well in advance types so I'm sure my hosp bag will be packed and ready to go with months to spare.
I announced on FB after our fetal assessment, and gee wizz, my wall blew up with well wishes, it was quite touching. How many of you will be announcing on fb? I had just posted pics of our honeymoon-babymoon before hand so I think people were a bit surprised cos I still look pretty normal, unless you know what my boobs and tum norm look like sans clothing. I've slacked off on the baby bump pics, but I'll post one from our holiday when in front of the reg pc - there still isnt much there and during the day it gets all bloat baby. Anyone have bump pics to share?

Since annoucing I have found out that 2/3 people are using our boy name for their sons. All of them due before me, one of which i've been friends with since grade 9. It isnt a popular name, it hasnt ever been, but suddenly its the name of the friggin year. I've always loved it and it's the only name on my list so now i dont know what to do. Im going to look like such a copy cat. What would you do if in my shoes? Our sons name is for life, i dont want to compromise and pick something else when i've had my heart set on this one name for years, it's so frustrating.

well since the holiday madness has calmed down i figured i would come back to the bee. I've been reading and keeping up with you all and all i'm saying is wow those are awesome pics across the board loved them all.
Got my perscription vitamins filled and they make me horribly sick. i just want my gummies back. I have a feeling somethibg is off so i'm trying really hard not ti think about it. my 12 week appt (technically my 13.6 week) is the 9th. I just keep trying to relax. So far so good. I cant even explain my off feeling hopefully its moreso because my house is still trashed and we're taking our kitties back to tge shelter this week after about a year with them. We got them when my baby fever was at an ultimate high. but since a week before we found out tgeir attitudes have totally changed. despite a completly clean litter box they PEED IN MY BED pooped in tge bath tub chewed through almost every coard in the house including 2 tvs and the $200ish power supply for the computer. so i'm posting on my phone sorry about the typos t9 doesnt work on here.

Have a DR appt today. Hopefully will be able to hear the heartbeat on the doppler, as we couldn't last week. Then I have my NT scan on friday!! Hoping we might be able to find out the gender (doubt it but I can hope) lol
@MisStine: Did you take them to the vet to rule out a medical issue? If it's a shelter and not a rescue, kitties with such issues are typically just put to sleep... if that's the case and you can't find a home for them it's kinder to have them pts yourself instead of putting them through the stress of a shelter. I don't mean to sound harsh but I'm in a rescue and so many pets are turned into shelters because of babies coming.... most issues can be worked through and the sudden change in behavior for both of them must be stemming from something...
Hoping a better solution can be found!
Oh I didn't vote because I don't want to jinx myself. SO keeps saying/calling it a boy just because he knows I want a girl. Grrrr so aggrivating lol We have a DS already and this will be our last so I am really really really hoping for a girl. But ultimately just want a healthy baby. Also HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I agree, try and see if there is some underlying medical problem. Taking them back to the shelter is going to have them more than likely put to sleep and if you have had them for a year already, something has had to have happened for them to just act out in such bad ways all of a sudden. GL I hope you start feeling better and that the kitty issue works itself out too. I am also assuming they are fixed because they were shelter cats correct?
@Izzy81: how far will you be on friday? I was 13 weeks 1 day when I found out the sex and someone I was at school with found out @ 12w4d. You're going to love the fetal assessment, it's so in depth (we got to see things like the four chambers of his heart in depth) and much longer than the regular scan.
@wifegoodman: Oh boy, we have the same due date and i thought i had a big baby bump!

we took them to the vet who said they are probably just mad at us. since nothing else had changed. we havr every cat toy at walmart and kmart. and that doesnt help. i dont know what to do anymore theu were such good cats. it really is hard to get rid of them but i dont know what to do anymore. i think theyd be happier if they could be semi outside cats but that wont work in our apartment. i am currently takibf a break from my last idea i'm wrapping all coards in tin foil hopefully that will fix it.
i just want this to be better i dont want to give them away. its even harder because SD loves them.
WHEW! what a crazy holiday season it has been! i no longer have to hide the fact im pregnant!!! YAY! it feels so good. i'm now 14 weeks and in the second trimester! so many milestones hit in the past week! as for the poll i would like to have another boy just because i already have so much boy stuff! i think it MIGHT be a girl just bc im not getting the boy vibe but i didnt get the boy vibe with my DS until 2 weeks before i gave birth. i feel bad for complaining about my bump since i know alot of ladies are wishing they had one but man it is getting in my way!
@MisStine: I'd find a new vet.. .honestly, if he didn't run a slew of tests to ensure nothing was wrong and just said "they're mad at you" without offering tips you need a new vet.
Did he mention nature's miracle, feliway, or rescue remedy? Deterants to put where they ARE going? Moving the litter box or adding another? Honestly giving them to a shelter or stranger is a death sentence... I hope you can find a new vet with a better solution for you! Are you certain it's both cats doing this?
I'm feeling gross today. I was fine and just now a headache hit me hard, my stomach hurts and I feel just bad all over. Hoping I can leave a bit early as I have an 8-10 p.m. conference call tonight with a client...

@ilovestripes: rockin bod! DH and i just booked a babymoon too! were going to FL for 5 days in feburary. ill be about 18 weeks then but im excited! im like, you im a MAJOR planner. things will be ready to go in time that is for sure! we picked out which stroller we want, which is a stokke. and thats only compatible with select carseats so were going with the cybex at least for one car so it can be used with the stroller. i think for the other car we'll go with a britax. so safe and wonderful. we announced on fb yesterday! many many wallposts and texts. it was so neat to see! what is your boy name? if you dont mind sharing. that is so frustrating! im sorry that happened. id be LIVID. ive been debating if i want to keep our name a secret from fb once we decide or not, ive always been afraid of someone else taking it! i know lots of people due around me as well. my moms best friend actually had her baby 2hrs before my mom had me, and she stole the first and middle name my mom had picked for me! craze.
@MisStine: giving up a pet is so hard. im sorry! you should try listing them on craigslist or something before bringing them to a shelter.

we posted on fb yesterday. crazy! it felt good but it felt weird to give up such a secret that DH and i shared for so long! also. i just called my dr's office to ask if i get an u/s next week since its my 1st actual initial appt with the OB himself, and she said no! WHAT THE HELL. shes like he will decide that if you are high risk etc. lame assssses. so im REALLY glad that i went to a specialty clinic on monday for an ultrasound! doctors are so weird thinking pregnant ladies dont want or need ultrasounds til whenever. fug that! im also going back to the specialty clinic to find out our sex at 15-16weeks instead of waiting the 18-20 with my OB. im an impatient mama. and im totes going to push for an u/s when im face to face with my OB. lol. im usually so shy with doctors, which really sucked when i was going thru the infertility stuff. but now that im pregnant and i have another being, no more mrs nice! oye.
@wifegoodman: not craigslist.... abusers stalk craigslist for their targets... it's one of the most dangerous place to post a pet...
they ran tests couldnt tell you what ones thought. we are friends with the vet which is why he was so casual we have tried sprays and motion activated noise maker and nothing has worked. i volenteer at thr shelter while SD is in school so i know they have a high turn around rate and people from all over two counties adopt there they only put down due to severe medical issues. thats the only reason that i'm ok with it. i am worried and with there was something else to do. we asked everyobe we know. i've been dealing with this since october. unfortuanatly we dont know if its just one or both i've caught both cats being bad i just cannot take it anymore.
Baby is HEALTHY!!!!!
All measurements within normal limits and after everything thats happened, it is SUCH a relief to get good news! LMP due date is 7/6/13, baby measured 7 days behind, which is less than the last ultrasound which was 11 days behind. So they are still not changing the due date and still consider me 13w4d.
They gave me a disc of 8 photos, and there were 2 video clips on it! One of squirmy baby and one of the heartbeat. I'm thrilled and can't wait to share with DH when he gets home!
Also, I was really lucky as my tech explained everything to me while she was looking at it and eased my fears. I was surprised as I expected to hear the results/ get photos, etc at my appt next week with my OB. Also, this is what they were sending off with my blood:

Oh gosh! I'm getting put on a low dose antibiotic so that I don't get any more UTI's. It worries me to do this, because I would rather find a natural remedy for this. Anyone got any ideas? I will ask the doctor soon about it though.
@Mrs-Sunflower: I had to take flagyl for a week because of some bacterial infection I'd never have even known I had... she said no risk for the antibiotics but leaving infections go untreated can cause early labor.. so I suggest taking. If the antibiotic is just to prevent? Have you tried cranberry pills/100% juice (not cocktail)?
@CindyRelly: I emailed my doctor about it just now, about whether I could take cranberry supplements or drink 100 cranberry (which I like better anyway than cocktail =]) so hopefully she has a good answer. I just do not wish to take any kind of medication without really needing to.
@wifegoodman: Your bump is so cute! I have nothing at all. :( I have a feeling I won't show for awhile because I have a really long torso.

AFM, I'm officially 10 weeks today and had my appointment with my OB. She took out the Doppler and I was so nervous, but she found the heartbeat right away. It was amazing to be able to hear it; heartbeat was at 177! She wants me to stop taking the progesterone now, which I'm a little nervous about, but I guess I have to trust that everything's okay.
We go in 2 weeks to get the NT scan done - I'm excited to see my LO on an ultrasound again. :)
Bad news is, I lost 4 pounds since my last visit and I'm already really skinny to begin with, so they want me to try and gain more weight. I just haven't had an appetite at all. There aren't many foods that sound good to me. I had a craving for a Quiznos chicken sub tonight, so decided to get one, and let me tell you - I devoured that thing! So hopefully my appetite is coming back.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! We had our 10 wk appointment today, and all is well. Our doctor doesn't want to look for a heart beat until next appointment in four weeks, though, so that was disapointing. Other than that, we'll have our first ultrasound at 18 weeks. Such a wait!
So, basically, at this point, I feel like I'm experiencing puberty - not pregnancy. Man alive.
The joys. Am I right?

My appt went fine today. Pretty quick actually. He did find the heartbeat today though on the doppler. That was fantastic to hear seeing as they couldn't find it will the doppler last week. Nt scan is friday, next DR appt is Jan 30th!!
So we had our 12 week appointment today! Everything went well. I did a urine sample We heard the heartbeat right away (169 BPM!!) and then she did my pap and what not. My midwife told me we were really healthy and woudn't need an ultrasound until 20 weeks. She then proceeded to check the size of my uterus and looked at me and said "Your uterus is either really high, you're farther along than you thought, or you have morer than one in there." So she decided to do an ultrasound & I'm so glad she did. It was so amazing. Baby H was sitting really still at first and she took a couple pictures and suddenly baby started moving around a bunch! It was precious, my husband was laughing because i had my head turned to look at the ultrasound machine and I was crying out of one eye! Hahaha. I don't think I've ever smiled so much in one day! During the ultrasound babies heartrate rose to 171! Apparently baby was excited we got to see him/her too! I'm so excited for our 20 week scan now. Only one mroe appointment between now and then! YAY! Here's a couple cruddy photos I took of the pictures with my phone to send my mom. I'll scan them eventually.
I haven't posted in a while. I haven't been feeling good. I've started getting migranes. I had to break down and get migraine meds. I couldn't get out of the bed and everything is spinning. Since getting my medication I feel so much better. However I have started throwing up. Very strange because I've had nausea the whole time and I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow and just started throwing up. But I made it o work!
I was asked on the previous board how I've been able to control my sugars. I take metformin twice a day and I really try to watch the carbs I'm eating. However I haven't been eating much of anything so that may be contributing too. But when I do eat I really try to make carb conscious choices and don't over due it on the sugar.
I'm starting to get a bump It's a little hard to tell because I'm already overweight and have a belly but my belly isn't going down and it's growing a little. And I'm not gaining weight because as of Friday I've LOST 11pounds. And I'm getting more bloated.
Has anyone gotten any interesting comments lately? I'be started to break out and I usually have pretty great skin. I'm even breaking out on my neck and chest. Today one of my coworkers who knows I'm preggers asked me about breaking out. I said it was probably all of the hormones. She looked at me and said can't they give you something or that so you're not breaking out? Really? I just told you it's my hormones! Who cares id I have zits? I much rather have zits than nausea and migraines... just saying. But..,tonight DH looked at me and said I was glowing and looed beauiful
Correction DH said I looked beautiful...myntablet is acting up...
