    Hi guys

Am really set on a resort in Mexico! In the second week of July! I heard it might rain but the rain will last for an hour or so! and we should be safe from any major hurricanes happening! Anyone have any advice!

    Thanks

We have been to cancun the last 2 years in July which is "hurricane season"

Honestly, it rained 1/7 days. Its totally worth the cheaper rates and less crowded beaches!!!

Yall will have a blast :D

ETA: I will add that its reallllllly humid during this time, so an indoor reception area would be a good idea.

We've been to Mexico (Riviera Maya/Yucatan Peninsula) in July & it will have a couple of major downpours for about 15 minutes.  Everyone scatters inside, but then about 15 or 20 minutes later the sun comes out in full force & dries everything off & then people are back to laying out by the pool or on the beach.  One day I sat on my hotel balcony & watched from above as the events unfolded & it was almost comical b/c it seemed like a movie on fast-forward!

I've been to the Caribbean in June/July about 6 times; it is VERY hot and VERY humid, and you can expect rain daily, but typically this will be in the form of a short. sharp shower, often at night. You might also get one full day of rain in every 7 days. The rain would def not put me off; and if it does rain for 1 in 7 days on honeymoon, who cares?! Just order room service and make the most of your jacuzzi tub.. ;-)

@RomGlam77: We are going to Cancun for  our honeymoon in July... (Excellence Playa Mujeres)... I have been traveling to the caribbean every summer for the past 15  years and it's either in the month of June and July and I have never experienced a hurricane (not to say that it can't happen)....... it appears that the end of August thru September is when it mainly hits......

    Good Luck with your decision..
