PenguinLove:  We are in the process of planning ours now and it looks like it’s going to be dubai, sri lanka and the Maldives (3 weeks). We’re not going until a few months after the wedding though.

Our wedding is a DW in Northern Italy so we will have a few days ‘mini moon’ around that.

We’re taking a sailboat cruise around the Mediterannean (Italy and Greece), but we’re not going until the end of July because of FI’s work schedule.

One week in Marco Island and one week in Disneyworld (where we got engaged). It’s going to be HOT, but worth it! 🙂

Aww these sound sooo exciting! We budgeted terribly so I don’t think a honeymoon is in our cards :/ At least not for awhile after the wedding. I’m having a tough time accepting that but it’s our own fault.

My FI and I were just talking about this last night. I believe we are going to go to Mexico. That is where we got engaged 🙂

Honestly though, the value and experience you get from a trip to Mexico is fantastic. We went in April and we stayed for 7 nights, all inclusive (food and alcohol), and round trip air fare and we paid $800 a piece, $1,600 total.

AND – we booked through Expedia which offered split payments, so we payed half up front to reserve it and then the rest was owed 3 weeks prior to the date. To do the split payments though we had to call the hotline to book, we couldn’t do it all online.

It was both our first times to an all inclusive and to Mexico, and I still can’t stop talking about it. All inclusive is DEFINITELY the way to go if you are on a budget. It’s crazy to not do it.

My future sister-in-law just flew in for 4 days last week for Christmas and paid $700 for her round trip ticket (Oklahoma to Indiana) -granted it was a holiday week- but I just keep thinking about how we went on our vacation for just $100 more than that!

Or if you have a passport, you can get a cruise super cheap! Just depending on how many days and where you are going you can get one for as low as $150 a person!

We haven’t booked ours yet. We were originally thinking all inclusive to Jamaica, but after talking to some work friends we may drive to New Orleans (we live in Tennessee) and tour the city for a day then jump on a 5 day carnival cruise!

Can I play? I’m getting married in February, but because of work we’ll be taking our honeymoon in June. We’re going to Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta for a week. Soooooooo excited, in over 9 years of dating, we’ve never been on a ‘real’ vacation! It’s going to be amazing!
