Weddingbee boards

Any other fellow date bees? I hope so.

I thought to make a board as there doesn't seem to be one.

Interested to know what made you choose this date? What have you done so far?

I chose the date because I wanted a Summer wedding and like June - an occassion that can go into the night - think that stems from having a winter birthday and the day seems so short. Unfortunately there are alot of bad memories for my Mum in June (family deaths) so her and I thought to make it a 'happy month'.

So far have; chose church and venue, got photographer, got my dress. Meeting florists end of this month.

So no-one else at all with this date.....

Update: (this is going to end up like a personal diary, if no-one else has this date lol) Well yesterday I booked my florist, so that's another tick in the box. The first florist wasn't very helpful whereas the second was just what I expected. Just can't wait to get BMs done.

I like the relaxed feel of a sunday but you know how on a Sunday you dress up smart so has a smart feel but without it being too formal and stiff? I also wanted a day nearest to the longest day.

We've got our tasting session next month at our venue to sample different ideas. Like you i've got a possible bridesmaid dress and I really want to get the DJ sorted for the evening. And I keep forgetting we've got a string quartet booked for the church to do the welcoming songs, me walking down the aisle and the hymns. Can't believe it's less than 6 months away. We got engaged a year ago today actually and that time has gone superfast.

Tasting done and was very good. We each had a sample of each course on our plates and there were loads of wine to sample - FI got a bit tipsy lol. We've decided the dessert and possibly the main course too. Seeing my dress this Friday so got that to really look forward to and i'm going to order the BM dresses - that's been a bit of a nightmare - too long a story to explain but tomorrow i'll be telling one bridal shop thanks but no thanks.

So, dress was gorgeous - so much fresher and brighter than the sample. BM dresses ordered - hopefully the sizes are right. My shoes also ordered ;) And my mum has bought an outfit. By the month is over i'm hoping to sort out evening entertainment too. Here are the BM dresses plus the colour i've ordered and my shoes.

I can't believe it's less than 100 days away. I got a bit scared last week with how much time isn't left. Anyway invited have gone out, here are the insides

and my shoes ahve arrived so i'm in the process of breaking them in

and I saw and tried the BM shoes I mentioned in my last post and they're a winner

@everyone: It's getting close I'm freaking out now!!

@JenF: I've gone from freaking out to now being excited ;)

@ButterflyDoll: Our rings came in yesterday and that's made us both more excited, FI wants to wear his now too

@JenF: I've washed FIs shirt this morning and have got to iron it yet too. I've bought my BMs and Mum robes and myself a white one for the morning. I was considering getting those ones with bridesmaid etc on the back but thought they're then less likely to wear them. I've got the photo list to finalise.

I bought these headbands for my BMs to wear on the day but two of them have got a stone missing so am now going to see if I can exchange them.

This time next week ladies!!
