I'm very lucky that I'm marrying my caterer!!! lol
My photographer I found through work - her mom works at my place of employment...I'm getting unlimited pics - ALL day - for $1500! her work is AMAZING!
Since my husband (btw, we're 'legal' but our wedding is next june...) is a caterer, their biggest client is a winery - so obviously our wine/champagne is going to be VERY inexpensive.
One of the guys he works with is a bartender.
Another is a professional DJ.
My flowers, I'm doing "DIY" - but a friend at work does wedding flowers as a hobby, so she will be helping put them together.
My invites are all DIY
I also just got confirmation from my godfather this weekend, who is a (now retired) minister - who I've wanted to be the one to marry me since I was a child...said YES!
Here is my dress:

My date is June 5, 2010
My dress is the Casablanca 1900: http://picasaweb.google.com/uscpixie/MyDress#
We're getting married (ceremony and reception) at the Grand Event Center in Long Beach, CA.
I think my colors will be mostly black, white, and silver with kelly green and maybe plum. I want to do centerpieces of lanterns and moss.
Next on the agenda is finding a photographer.
My dress is a Private Label By G. I actually got the grad dress version because I didnt want a train... hello discount! And it is in Ivory, not blue. thought the one I tried on was bright purple.
Our date is June 14th, 2010... yes I know its a tuesday.
Colours: greens, blues, purples, and yellows.
Location: Anvil Island, at the camp I've attended since I was 9. we've rented the camp grounds.
Currently I am looking into flowers, booking the boat to get us there, we have our guest list both for the wedding, and for a reception we are doing a couple weeks later. We have a smaller budget then most, and we are actually under budget. We have booked our honeymoon to maui... cant wait! I have our invites, just need to do some magic in photoshop and in word to set them up and then print and piece together. Its all just falling into place.
I'm June 12, 2010.
We've got the venue (a country club), ceremony location (town park), DJ, transport (H3 limo and trolley for later in the evening), bridesmaids dresses chosen (the girls just have to find/buy them), colors are pink and green (think watermelon), and we hopefully make a final choice on the photog next weekend. Our "theme" is formal garden party and I think everything (including my dress) is starting to tie in together.
And here's my dress:
Very nice ladies! i'm proud of the june 2010'ers...we're doing great! and hotchildinthecity....i love your pink/green color theme....my fav color is pink and it always looks good with green.
our next task is to decided between 24 and 28 inch eiffel tower vases. I say the taller the more elegant but he says 28 is to tall.
keep the posts coming ladies! smooches!
I'm a June bride and my dress came in. It's funny how everyone told me to order my dress well in advance as they may take anywhere from 6-8 months to arrive. Lo and behold, I received a call not too long ago telling me my dress was in. Yup, it only took 3 months.
I will be wearing Maggie Sottero's SaBelle dress. As badly as I want to post a pic with me wearing my dress, I'm a little paranoid about the whole world knowing. So I'm not going to post the pic
.
I'm a 6/5/10 bride. I have: church, reception venue, photographer, florist, dj, transportation, chair covers, ordered my dress late August. My dress is Casablanca 1920. My colors are a mix of purples with yellow and raspberry. My BMs will wear a B2 by Jasmine in scarlet. I'll have white chair covers with "plum" colored sashes. Still thinking about colored fabric napkins. The centerpieces will be half a mix of all my colors and the other half are 3 different sized glass vases with sumbmerged tulips in one , submerged orchid maybe in the other, and a small yellow floral arrangement in the third vase. We're working on the cake. We went to one tasting so far. This has all been sooo much fun for me. I never thought that I'd get this into wedding plannning. But, it's been a blast!
I'm June 26, 2010. So far we have our ceremony and reception venues, coordinator, wedding party, I've just chosen my dress and plan to order it in the next few weeks (Winnie Couture's Ilana. She stole my heart...)
I've been told we're a little bit behind, so we're getting ready to up the ante and pick up the pace...October we're devoting to choosing a D.J., photographer, and bridesmaids' dresses...we're also taking our engagement pics in two weeks. Yay!
Eek! :) <3
I'm June 19 too! Looking at these posts I feel a little behind, oh well! Friday is the big dress shopping day, so hopefully I'll have a dress to post after that. Otherwise, I have figured out the venue (winery in Central Coast CA), catering (BBQ), and DJ, and I have friends doing the photography, cake and flowers! I have a couple of color scheme options but it will probably just apply to the bridesmaid dresses. I am probably not doing too much decorating...we picked the wedding location because it provides a beautiful backdrop without any effort or decorations (a big deal because we're planning from across the country!) And today I'm working on blocking off hotel rooms. Wedding planning is so fun!
I'm June 26, 2010!!! We are celebrating every 100 days with a bottle of champagne...sooo excited! Our color scheme is brown, light green, and cream in order to let the natural beauty of the venue shine through. Our cocktail party the night before with be full of bright colors..a little south Texas meets Italy theme!
So far I have my:
dress...Priscilla of Boston, Vineyard Piper (pictured below)
shoes...Martinez Valero, Letty (pictured below)
church and reception venue/catering/alcohol/hotel...Titignano, Italy (http://www.titignano.com/gb/index.html)
photographer...Alfonso Longobardi (www.alfonsolongobardi.com)
bridesmaid(sister) dress...in chocolate...Bill LevKoff (http://www.billlevkoff.com/#/91/bill-levkoff-bridesmaid-dress-style-430/430/)
FH's ring...custom made with a .3 c emerald inside a la Roberto Coin (pictured below)
We are visiting the area again mid-October to meet with musicians, bakers, hair/makeup people and florists...can't wait!!! I am hoping to have everything planned and ready to go by January 1! After that all I have to worry about is my dress fitting, bridal showers, and bachelorette party in April (when I visit the US again) and that's all!!
So far I am not sure what people get stressed out about when planning weddings...I've had a blast so far and am counting down the days until June 26, 2010 (270 days to be exact!)
Yay! We're getting married June 5, 2010 in the LA area.
So far we have wedding + ceremony venue, caterer, officiant, photographer, DOC, deejay/MC, and I MAY have my dress later today!! (I'm going back to a dress shop to try on AGAIN a Melissa Sweet that I absolutely loved, but it is so different from what I thought I wanted!!). I'm currently trying to find a hair/MUA artists, BM dresses, and we're starting work on our STDs. Whew!
Our colors are silvery gray, pale pink, and mint green. Our ceremony and reception are both completely outdoors -- kinda scary! -- under oak trees, so I think the colors will match well.
Where is everyone else in planning? So exciting! It feels like we still have a lot of time but I think it's coming to come up pretty fast.
We're getting married on June 25th in upstate New York.
I'm starting to feel like we are gaining control of checklist of wedding tasks to do :).
So far we've booked our venue, found our wonderful photographer (seriously the most helpful person and great photography), picked out the bridesmaid dresses (Watters 552 in rosemarry - a blue dress with a light green band at bottom), and found my dress (Maggie Sottero Greta). I love the dress - the pleating is much better looking in person than in the picture from the website, but I love the lace and how it's broken by the pleating!

Hi! I'm June 12th, 2010 and I've done a lot so far I think! I got my dress, just picked my bridesmaid dresses today, booked a church and reception venue, blocked hotels, booked the photographer, videographer, band and got a preliminary workup from a florist who also does lighting and decor. I keep changing my mind about our colors and theme - the curse of having so much time to plan. We are mailing our save the dates this week!
Here's my dress!
June brides are AWESOME! I'm June 12, 2010 and we've got most of the big stuff: Venue, Photographer, Wedding Planner, DJ, Dress (Anjolique), and we just picked up the rings tonight!!
I'm still talking to a florist, baker and ceremony musician.
Our save the dates are going out next week!! And we've already seen some of our engagement photos.
Here is a sample

moderndaisy.....there's no pic of your dress hun
jaymugirly.....those pics are adorable! awwww!
I'm so happy for my fellow June brides!
I'm June 18, 2010 in St. Paul, MN. The ceremony is going to be at the chapel where I went to college and the reception is going to be at a mansion down the street from the school. My colors are going to be pink and green and I decided to have my bridesmaids wear gray dresses from White House/Black Market (which they just bought this past weekend). So far, I have my dress, we have the ceremony/reception locations, photographer, caterer, dj, I've made most of the ivitations, and I will be working on blocking out hotel rooms and whatnot probably this weekend. I'm pretty sure I know where I'm getting the flowers from and I know the place I'm getting the cake through, we just haven't had a consultation yet.
I know! It's saying the file is too big. Here is a link to my post about it:
Hi June bugs (bees)! :)
I'm a June 5, 2010 bride... here's a pic of me in my dress which I looooooooove!
moderndaisy....that is a beautiful gown! i love the beading! good job!
ddubzz.....very pretty....sleek and sexy!
Anybody else doing any damask? Or is it just me?
Hey lovely laides, I am ALSO June - 6/12/10.
I've been planning cross-country from North Carolina to Minnesota - we are getting married in Minnesota and are actually moving there next month!! Hooray!!
We've also gone with pink and green (watermelon and grass), and we're having a totally fun summer wedding - think BBQ food, ice cream sundae station, lots of bright flowers, paper lanterns, etc. I LOVE LOVE LOVE our venue - it's at a park with an outdoor gazebo to be married under, and the reception hall is floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the lake. We can even take a gondola ride from the gazebo to the reception hall. We're having our dog there, too, to bring the rings down the aisle!!
For vendors, I have a photog (who was a HS friend - she already did our engagement pics), I have a florist/day of coordinator, I have a caterer, DJ, officiant.... the only big thing I need to finish is the invitations. Here's some fun pics of the dress, and our engagement pics -
Oh! And I also made a HUGE decision about our wedding - I was letting my hair grow out, but I was SOOO unhappy about it, so I cut it right before our E-pics. BEST. THING. I. HAVE. EVER. DONE!!! I can't wait to find a sassy short do with a fun fascinator or headpiece or flowers, and I will look like the best version of myself!!! :)
alundberg....ur dress is gorgeous! my mind is racing with how beautiful your venue must be...you'll have to upload pics!
I'm a June 12th bride! We've had the church and reception venue booked for awhile now. Our caterer is booked and we've already had a tasting. We just had our engagement pictures taken by our wonderful photographers the other day.
I just ordered my dress this weekend. It's Casablanca 1930 with some customizations. Mine will be all ivory.
Hey bees,
Congrats to all the June brides!, June is almost here! Isn't it exciting!? =D
I'm a June 5th bride! Here's one of our engagement pics (taken by myself), E-Ring & a picture of my dress!
