Hey June 2011 Brides!
We are 6 months away!!!
I've been going back and forth on my honeymoon ideas, and gave myself until January to decide and book. Fi says he doesn't care where we go as long as we are together (isn't he the sweetest?). I've had my mind set on Bali for a while now, but then think that maybe sticking to the Carribbean would be better because it's a quick flight (compared to 20 + hours to Bali from NY!). But then, when else am I going to have all the time and excust to go all the way to Bali? Jeeeze!
Anyway, where is everyone with their honeymoon planning? Are you decided? Is it booked yet?
Today is exactly 6 months from my wedding date :)
We narrowed down our honeymoon location a few weeks ago and I know FH has looked into some of the things we'll do there. We're going to Napa and San Fransisco so he's going to find different wineries to visit and hotels in both cities. We don't have anything booked yet though.
I think there's still plenty of time to get things booked. It does depend on where you're going though. When we were considering going overseas, I wanted to have everything booked and nailed down by February just because lots of people travel in the summer.
Still no idea on where we are going! I just figured if we can't figure something out we'll spend a week at the beach in south carolina. Thats my last resort if we can't decide on something :/
We haven't booked yet, but we have decided where we are going. We will be winery hopping in Michigan!
We've decided where we're going (The French and Italian Riviera...a bit of a European roadtrip) but nothing is booked yet. Still doing all the research!
we are going to aruba! but not until the first week of july... so excited. my date is june 4th!!! ahhh time is flying!!
Oh my goodness, 6 months! Panic attack ensues...
I don't think we've booked anything yet (the fiance's in charge of the honeymoon and he likes to surprise me). We're getting married in Honolulu so I think we're going to Lanai for the honeymoon. It should be nice and relaxing... I'm looking forward to it.
CEDAR POINT AMUSEMENT PARK!!! It's the #1 amusement park in the world and we only live an hour away :) 3 days of rollercoasters, we can't wait :)
We're spending 9 days in Playa del Carmen at The Royal Resort. I booked it a couple months ago when I got a bonus at work so I wouldn't accidentally spend it.
We haven't booked yet but plan on doing it this week. We're going to El Dorado in the Mayan Riviera for 5 nights. We found a great deal through a travel agent on tripology.com...a lot cheaper than we found anywhere else online!
We had planned on going to Mexico to my aunts vacation house, but that area lit up like a Christmas tree a few months ago and with the new TSA stuff going on FH said forget it :(
But we will just go to our cabin in the Ozarks and spend two weeks lying around and fishing :), one of my favorite past times.
@smallwonder: We're going to Napa too. We're not going to San Fran but to northern CA to see the redwoods. We don't have anything booked yet but I figure we have plenty of time.
We haven't booked yet and haven't really decided either. Thinking about NYC but I'm not sure where to stay that's affordable and yet close enough to all the attractions. Any Ney Yorkers on here have any advice?
we've decided on where we're going but are waiting to book flights & hotels until january, AFTER we recover from all of these ungodly holiday expenses
We're planning on booking by the second week of January. We're going back and forth between Mexico all inclusive and Jamaica not all inclusive lol
@hzleys100: We are going to Aruba the first two weeks of July!!
We are staying at my parent's timeshare, so the room is already reserved for their weeks; my dad just has to give them the heads up that FI and I are coming in their place :-) I also booked the flights last week, so we are ready to go!! Well, if FI every gets around to renewing his passport...
We haven't decided yet either. Just as long as its sunny and warm and we can have fun. Prolly somewhere in the carribean or a cruise.
We are going to Paris, but still tracking those airplane ticket prices. FI's parents are buying them for us as a wedding gift, which is the only way we're going because those tickets cost a small fortune.
I have a whole road-trip itinerary made up from Annapolis back to Nashville! Since we'll be driving up for the wedding, why not a road-trip honeymoon back home? I have all sorts of interesting ideas planned out, but we haven't booked anything yet. I feel we still have some time, but I could be dead wrong on that. I hope we don't find places are already booked when we get around to booking.
We just did!! My aunt offered us there time share at Christmas! She just sent me an email with the confirmation! YAY!
We finally booked our honeymoon last night! It was SUCH A TOUGH decision. Probably the biggest decision in this entire wedding!!! We decided on St. Lucia!!! I'm so excited! It felt like a huge weight was lifted off of me when I crossed 'honeymoon' off the to-do list =)
We are not doing any honeymoon. We are saving money to have a second reception in my home country in 2012, then we will have honeymoon at the same time here
We booked our flights to Sacremento! I am so excited! Also my save the dates are out and that makes it seem so real!
We want to book sometime this month. I think we've found a destination but we want to run the budget numbers before finalizing. Really surprised by how much airfare is!
We just started officially planning this week and I'm thrilled that we have a venue, caterer (in-house), officiant (relative), and photographer (gift). We have plans for our honeymoon, we will stay at an inn for a few days and then we'll be camping in Maine for the remainder of the time. We are in the process of booking the inn and just need to find a campsite.
We decided on Sandals Granda Antigua, and booked the honeymoon about a month ago. We chose the all-inclusive route and scuba diving is included, too!! Can't wait!
We're thinking St. Lucia but I'm not sure, it seems kind of overdone in my mind.. we wont be booking for a few months though so I have time to decide!
We're thinking of Fiji or Thailand - but only because those are (relatively) close to Australia. I would LOVE to be close enough to go to Mexico or the Caribbean!
@jaguar: Wanna swap?
We'd love to be close enough for Fiji to be an option. It's one of those OMG gorgeous destinations I'm not sure we'll ever get to see. Exotic is a matter of perspective, I suppose.
@waffle: That's going to be BRILLIANT. :D
@painauchocolat: Oh, I'd take the Caribbean in a heartbeat! We have booked ours now.. but we didn't end up at Fiji, ended up somewhere else in the Pacific instead!
We are going to Ocho Rios, Jamaica the week after the wedding. I have to work :(
@waffle: Oooh, FI and I went to Maui last June and it was amazing!!! Where are you staying? You HAVE to have breakfast at least twice at The Gazebo. Make sure you get there early...the line gets crazy long, but it's SO worth it!
After the crazy winter weather, I am psyched about our honeymoon! Ours is in two parts: the day after the wedding, we're taking my kiddos to Disneyworld for 3 days (well, 5 total, but we'll have 3 full days at the parks)! Woo hoo! It's a surprise; the kids don't know yet. We're going to announce it at the reception. :-) And then the kiddos will have fun at Camp Grandma & Grandpa while FI and I go on a cruise in the Italian Riviera. Yay!
We're going to the Valentin Imperial Maya in Mexico for 5 nights! Can't wait!
