My wedding is on June 25th, and I was planning on sending them out on April 1st, with a May 15th RSVP.  My mom is claiming that this is TOO late?!? That they should go out this month.  I'm so confused =\

that's not too late. april 8 is 9 weeks before my wedding, so that's when they'll be going out. i'll send the international invites 2 weeks before that.

Hey date twin...it's funny I was going to say that's a little early!  I was going to send mine at the end of April (April 23rd-ish) and have an RSVP date of June 4, but maybe that's too late.  I always heard 6-8 weeks before the wedding....now I'm thinking I should send sooner!

@bride2bejc:We're having an RSVP date of May 20th for our July 3 wedding, and they probably will go out May 1 (well, April 30--the post office said to avoid the 1st and 15th because of all the paychecks they take less care with individual letters).

That is definitely not too late for your wedding!

My wedding is also June 25th, and my mom wants to send invitations out on May 1st, but I was thinking a few weeks earlier than that.

Depending on how long it takes me to address them, ours are going out approx 12-13 weeks before the wedding, with RSVPs due approx 6-7 weeks before the day.

I hope not.  Our wedding is June 26th and we have a reply date of June 1st.  We're thinking of sending them out sometime in mid-April.

When do you have to give a final guest count to your venue/caterer?  I worked backwords from that date and gave myself an extra week to follow up wth guests who haven't responded. I think your timeline sounds good!

Date twins!  I am probably going to send mine out on April 25, with a reply date of May 25.  That way people have a month to respond and I should know a head count at least three weeks before the wedding (I'm counting on having to track down a few slackers.)

I don't think that is too late. Some people send them too early, IMO.

I am sending mine next week! Just because I am visiting home them so it is a conventient time to get everyone's addresses from my mom.

I was thinking I'd send them out April 15th, which is just about 8 weeks before the wedding.  Is this too late?!  Save the dates went out in January.

I plan on getting them out at the beginning of April assuming that everything is going as planned.  I think 2 months is the typical amount, but I'm giving myself an extra week or so, and I set my RSVP date to May 21, so I can make time for stragglers Smile.  We're almost there ladies - it's crazy!

I'm June 10th and I'm hoping to have them out in Mid-Late March with a RSVP date of May 1st.  I have to give my caterer a month's notice and I expect to have to track down some people.  =)

Early June here - planning on getting invites out the door mid-March as we have a lot of out of town guests. That and I'm just ready to be done with them! Our RSVP date is May 4th.

I am not sending mine out until mid may with a reply day of june 5th. I know caterers need counts by certain dates, but I don't understand sending invites three months out. Is there something I am missing? Can someone explain it to me please, I can send them out earlier if I need to. We already have them.

As soon as I finish them, I've done the outer bit, just got to print the inside section and finish the information sheet (directions to venues)

    My wedding is June 24th.

I am sending my invites out May 2nd (7 weeks before the wedding) and getting my RSVPs back May 23rd.  That gives everyone 3 weeks to rsvp to me (any more time than that and people lose the card/ forget about it, etc).  It also gives me a safe week to call anyone who hasn't sent in the rsvp cards and a few more weeks still to give my final count to the caterer/ baker.

Date twins, cute! I am June 25 bride as well, and my schedule is about the same as that of @mightywombat.  We plan to send our invites out in late April, probably the last week, and then our RSVP date is the last week in May.  That gives us plenty of time to get our final headcounts to our vendors and call anyone who has not RSVP'd by then, which I am SURE there will be some of those!

I haven't even ordered mine yet, but then again, my father is a printer.  I have the invitation book on my coffee table right now.  I'll be picking them out this week, and then the order will be sent to my papa.

I'm not sure when I'll send them out.  My mom is getting freaked out, so I'm sure it will be soon.

Our RSVP date is May 4, so we dropped them today, approx 8 weeks before our RSVP date...perhaps a bit early, but it is mostly out of towners.

    @tksjewelry:

Some people don't do save-the-dates, so sending them out three months in advance gives their guests time to plan.

My wedding is at the very beginning of July and I just sent mine out. I know it's early, but we had a lot of considerations. 1) The hotels where we're reserving space will release the rooms by June 2. 2) Half of our guest list is traveling for the wedding 3) Because our wedding is small we're doing an A and B list and need the A list RSVPs back in plenty of time to send invites tot he B list. So, yeah, quite a bit early, but it's exciting to already get back RSVPs! :)

I have been going BACK and Forth with this.  We didnt do save the dates bc we just set out date in December. We notified everyone of our website instead.  So now I have these invitations burning a hole in the box waiting to be sent out.  I finished them last week.  I have about 20 out of town guests and I freaked yesterday when they announced that airlines would be raising their prices.  I went ahead and sent out the out of town invites today.  The rest are going out March 30th for a May 1 RSVP by date.

Our wedding is June 18 and we plan to have them in the mail April 1st.  Are RSVP date is May 15th.  Need to have a final head count to our caterer so that way it will allow us to have time incase people miss the deadline to rsvp :)

I think May 1 for a June 26th wedding, unless I can somehow get it done before then. Everyone already knows if they're invited or not, our out of towners have pretty much all already bought plane tickets. The invites are more of a formality than anything.

Mine will go out by May 1, RSVP date of June 1.

We sent save the dates and many of our guests are local.  plus our reception is where I work, so if my estimated number of guests 2 weeks out is a few off it's not a big deal.

It still gives me a week or two to track down missing replies before my guaranteed count is due.

Our invites are done and being shipped to me as we speak - I plan on assembling them and sending them out literally as SOON as they arrive. Our RSVP date is early (May 1st) because I want plenty of time to chase them, since our venue is really strict on numbers at least a fortnight before.

We're sending ours out at the end of March (this weekend, if we can swing it), and our RSVP date is May 1st.  I doubt we'll get all our RSVPs by then, but I figured why not try for it?
