Hi Ladies!! June is less than 2 months away and I know that a lot of us have sent out our invitations. I've been watching the May RSVP count thread and I'm interested to see what the June numbers are looking like! We just started to get ours back so I'll start! I'm planning on updating either once a week or once every 2 weeks once it starts slowing down. I'm only counting the people who have sent back RSVP cards as yes's.

I'm annoyed just now, as definetly two invites weren't delivered, possibly four as i'm waiting to hear from two other people. I've just rang Royal Mail and have now got a compensation form to fill out. Aargh I hate the thought that people have opened my invites and seen all this personal info about me.
I saw the May post and wanted to do this too! Good idea!

I did my RSVP's by email. I was super hesitant at first but I love getting notifications on my phone - much quicker than the mail!! I think a few of mine might have gotten held up somewhere also :(

@Ramble10:Wow you have a lot!!! I never thought of email RSVPs, you definitely saved a lot on postage (we put stamps on the return envelopes and gosh it added up!!).

I love checking the mail! We've had so many 'yes' responses from people that I was SURE wouldn't be able to come. It's so exciting! We were anticipating around 100 people actually attending (we figured some people wouldn't be able to make it as it's a Friday wedding, or people would come but not bring a guest) We know for sure certain people can't come, but I'm starting to think we may have way more than our initial 100 estimate!
I love checking the mail every day. We have at least 1-2 response cards each time! So far we have:

I really need the no's to keep rolling in!
oh...and someone actually wrote in "+ guest" on their response card! So far I'm rolling with it, but if space becomes an issue I'll have to deal with it!
@futuremjm- wow, your guests are pretty prompt with the RSVPs... I hope ours are too. I can't believe someone wrote "and guest"... people are so weird.

I got married June 2010 and I miss the invite responses pouring in :) So much fun!

It's so exciting to check the mail and see those little envelopes sitting there! Slowly but surely they're coming back. Like a few of you, we've gotten some more verbal yes', but I'm not counting them until the RSVP card comes back. I hope we don't have to call too many people! =)
@Prewitt: I have had the same problems with Australia Post. The invites went out two weeks ago and I only JUST got two envelopes RTS (& ruined!) - furious, as the addresses are perfect - it's lazy postmen!

Hoping for some more no's but we'll see. I had them all sent to my parents' house so I only get to see who's coming every other week or even 3 weeks at a time, not good planning on my part.
For the bees hoping for more no's, watch Father of The Bride when Steve Martin is counting the RSVPs and when he finds out someone has died so they can't come he gets excited. It's a funny sketch and one you could so relate to.

Ooh so I posted yesterday, with 2 replies, then got the mail yesterday and woohooo a ton of cards! I hope there are a bunch more today. I was also surprised by how many people wrote little notes on the rsvp. I've never done that, haha. It's so nice to read though, so I guess I will in the future!

I'm getting really sad by the no's - but at the same time, we kind of need them as well. It's a lose-lose!
@jaguar:I'm glad it's not just me! Last weekend when we hadn't gotten any No responses I was getting worried and telling FI how scared it made me but last night when I was opening them I was just so disappointed haha
I'm so glad other people have been getting so few no's yet. I was like, 'we are going to set a record if people don't start saying no, lol'

It is good to see other people aren't getting quick responses! I also did e-mail RSVPs. I really want some "no's" because I don't want to have much over 100 people.
@Runnin Elley I really was against the email RSVP until my step mom convinced me it was the way to go - I still love getting mail but this way I can get excited all day long!!
I still haven't gotten a single NO and to be honest I"ll be surprised out of who is left if I get too many of them eek - I guess 160 it is!!

i think i gave them way too much time.
sent on april 5 = about 55 inivitations
due on may 21=received back about 15 of them
Everyday i look in my mailbox, and they are coming one at a time; the funny part is that ppl from RI, NY and NJ got it before from NH, now keep in mind i live literally 5 minutes from Salem, NH! :) postal office! and they complaint when they cut their funds! lol
i'm so antious, why can people tell you yes or no? is not like all my guest are CEOs that work 24/7! shm!

---I have a feeling that almost EVERYONE will show up! I just had my bridal shower yesterday and the guest list was 44...40 people came!----
Any updates???
We have been getting RSVPs pretty steadily in the mail. We've gotten at least one back per day for the past 2 weeks! I'm glad. I was really worried that our families wouldn't find it necessary to respond LOL.
As of today we have 50 YES (# of guests) and 20 NO (# of guests).
Our first one came back today :) I hope there's a lot more by the end of the week for the first little burst of them!
