I'm getting married June 29, 2012!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!! I hope all the planning is going well for everyone!! So where are you all getting married? I'm a Chicago bride getting married at the Brookfield Zoo!!!!

@ChicagoB2B: yay for another Chicago June 2012 bride! Brookfield Zoo will be gorgeous - we looked at the LP Zoo since it's right by our apartment, but Cafe Brauer and everything were out of our price range. I love our venue anyway! We're going with Salvage One.
@HoneyBear: haha, great minds! I am far too ahead of the game. I'm not touching most of the vendor planning yet, but do have venue and dress.
@lilyfaith: Yeah we looked at Cafe Brauer and I loved it but it was way out of our budget also. Salvage One looked beautiful, I'm sure your wedding with be amazing!! Wow you have your dress already!?!? Where did you go for it? I am just beginning to look at dresses.....I'm already overwhelmed LOL.
@ChicagoB2B: I actually got it off here - it's Mrs. CB's dress. It was for sale, I had a feeling, and our measurements are really close. So I bought it after about a week of telling myself "it's too soon, you haven't tried it on, blah blah blah." and got lucky - everything worked out perfectly! I never really thought there would be "one" dress (and I'm sure I could love another one if I hadn't found her) but she's perfect for me.
Chicago venues are so ridiculously priced. The only way we're scraping by is bringing our own alcohol and lots of DIY! I can't wait to hear more about your wedding. What part of Brookfield Zoo are you getting married in? That's actually where FBIL proposed to FSIL!
@lilyfaith: That's so great! How are you storing it? I had a similar experience last month at the Running of the Brides sale downtown and ended up purchasing my dress. I agree that Chicago venues are insanely overpriced. Salvage One looks awesome though! I love the exposed brick and the very urban feel of it! I was looking for Chicago venue inspiration and I came across this beautiful wedding there:
We are getting married in front of the Roosevelt Fountain, having cocktail hour in their new Bear exhibit, and the reception in their wedding pavilions. I can't wait I'm soooo excited!!
At the moment I am a tentative June 30, 2012 bride. I know my profile says otherwise, but FI and I just ran into some visa troubles. The papers won't be processed in time for our original September 2011 wedding and we didnt want to take the risk of losing all that money if his paperwork isn't finalized so we decided to move the date back. I thought about December 2011, but he said it takes away from being in the Riviera in the winter which I agree. April would be too rainy and so June was the next option. Though we're disappointed it's better to be safe than sorry because if his visa isn't complete by the time the wedding arrives it would just be an expensive party that even he couldn't attend! So we're planning as usual though because we have so many things to manage.

I'm another June 2012 bride from Chicago. Just got officially engaged last weekend, so we will start looking at venues very soon. I'm hoping for June 30th, 2012 - but the exact date will probably be determined by when we find the venue and if it's available. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi all! I'm a tenative June 2012 bride and also from Chicago. I very seriously doubt we'll be married in the city due to budget constraits, so we're thinking about either Florida or California. Date will likely be June 21, 2012. That's all for now!

I'm a June 2012'er too! Haven't picked a venue yet, but we're hoping to find something we love available on June 30th because that is the date of our 7 year dating anniversary!! How perfect is that?!
I live in NYC, but am planning my wedding in the Albany area. I'm so excited to start planning!
June 24 2012 bride here!! We're planning a SoCal afternoon wedding with an In 'n Out truck from allll the way in NYC. We've narrowed down venues and picked colors, but right now, our only daily wedding task is saving money and folding paper cranes :)
@ChicagoB2B: I have it wrapped in a white sheet, and then in the garment bag. Hoping that'll be enough! It was cleaned before storage.
Anyone planning? We haven't really done anything besides take engagement photos and start the venue paperwork. I'm finding it lovely to space things out like this, and engagement photos were so much fun!
I'm doing a lot of planning.... I feel like I'm jumping the gun, but I'm just so excited.
We're going to look at venues in a few weeks - we have a list of about 5 places right now. I'm getting quotes on photogs too because we would like to book that ASAP. @lilyfaith: I saw your e-pics.. they came out awesome! You guys are adorable. I can't wait until we do ours...
Oh we're also having our engagement party in November and we just started a registry at BBB!

Good luck with the venue hunting. I found it incredibly stressful to look in-city, even though we knew that we wanted just that. Every venue had a different way of their prices adding up, so there was lots of math involved.
I hope your engagement party goes well! Sounds like lots of fun.
June 2012 bride here! FH and I live just north of DC and will be getting married in northeastern Maryland.. already have our venue and dj picked out (and technically catering, because it 'comes with' the venue)!
What are you guys doing in terms of planning? I feel like I still have so much time and I have no idea what to do.. should I just wait on things until we're like a year or so out??
@lilyfaith: I can't believe you have your dress already! It actually makes me feel better, because I am thisclose to buying one now :)))
@junebug12: I'm just gathering lots and lots of ideas right now. My inspiration folder is HUGE!! ;) I'd like to book the big things -- venue, photog, DJ -- by the end of the year. I'd also like to try my hand at some DIY projects. I'm not a DIY girl AT ALL, so I'm going to use all of this extra time for trial and error runs on invites, favors, decorations, etc.

i am also a June 2012 bride! Our date is 6/9/12. I have our venue and ceremony site picked but that's it. my friend and wedding planner told me to wait to do anything else until january :) and that is extremely tough for me lol.
Tell your wedding planner to stuff it. lol I have my DIY project list (That keeps growing) my budget estimate, actual budget, guest list, gift tracker, cost comparison, wedding day timeline, ect spreadsheet ready to go!
@DutchBride21: i'm a june 30, 2012 bride! :) it seems so so far away right now, hopefully time will speed up.

But we're not officially engaged yet, although we have been talking abt marriage for awhile now, and we have even set our date! It's gonna be on the the 16th of June 2012!!!! :)
I know that it's rather far off at the moment, but i'm a planner... i love taking time to plan things so that they turn out just perfect ...and ofocourse my BIG DAY is no exception! :) I'm still in University, studying for my Degree in International Relations, but my boyfriend's a little older than me so he's rather stable and established now and runs his own business. I'm really excited about planning our wedding, c z i have so many ideas, and just like so many of you i have huge inspiration book all set and ready to go with ideas!! So I look forward to making friends with so many of you lovely people awaiting your respective special days as well!

Hi everyone! So I have never posted before, but I don't think I can resist any longer. I am getting married June 29, 2012 in the Mystic-area of CT. We were engaged the end of April this year. I am a graduate student working on my Ph.D., so I'm usually super busy but over breaks I have extra time on my hands (which I end up spending on WeddingBee)!

Hi ladies! I made my first big step in wedding planning today - I booked my venue and secured my date of 6/2/12! I am so flipping excited I can barely stand it. We're getting married in Columbus, Ohio at the new Audubon Center. It's pretty much my dream venue and up until a couple weeks ago, I didn't even know it existed! It's been open less than 2 years, and apparently a lot of people in town don't know about it yet. Needless to say, the buzz about weddings there is getting out, because they are already mostly booked solid for 2011, and 2012 dates are filling up too.
Yay for June 2012! 500 days to go for me and other June 2nd brides!
I'm getting married on 6-23-2012...
I pretty much have everything done and/or picked except my flowers and small things like MOH/best man gifts...things like that.
June 2012 bride here!!!! I cannot wait!! the time is going to absolutely fly by! I have completey jumped the gun and have alot of my major planning done or soon to be done!! We have the ceremony site, venue, photographer, caterer, decorator, my dress and we will do engagement photos in April or May!!! I think june 2012 has been very popular amongst recently engaged couples!! However, I got engaged in August because my FI wanted to do it at out favorite thing to do, Cincinnati Reds game! So it worked out perfectly and we knew we wanted 6.9.12 before we were officially engaged!! Good luck with all the planning!!!
Is it wrong to not have an exact date, just a month and a year? The Boy and I are planning a wedding in CO but we're both grad students in the DC area. We're hoping to do a venue hunt this spring break and don't want to discount somewhere we love that might be booked on June 9 but free on the 16th. My current goal is to have all the major things decided by June 2011 so I can rest on my laurels for the next year :)
