For those that were curious about old navy, I am in line buying my first pair of mat jeans now! I got the full panel in my normal size. When I was pulling them up I thought no way, but once I got them up they fit great. I doubt they'll last more than a month or two but it was worth it to me not to feel like I was busting a sag!

    @ellebeerob:  eeek! Exciting!

@bwaychick:  I've been preaching my love of old navy for maternity clothes! I just don't love the full panel jeans I have on... I feel like they are too big but they are the same size the rest of my pants & jeans are from there. Maybe I just don't like the cut...

@ellebeerob:  so glad that your baby cooperated and it's so exciting that your intuition was correct!

yay to having a baby boy and a girl in our little group so far! these gender reveals are making me so jealous that my anatomy appointment is still 2 weeks away.

Baby didn't cooperate until literally the last minute of my ultrasound. He was sitting on his little behind Indian style, playing with his toes! Ha! I was nearly in tears and at the last second he gave up and laid down to show us the goods :)

@ellebeerob:  I'm pretty sure that's how my kid will be.

To all the momma's that had 16w ultrasounds... Did the tech say how positive they were in the gender? I'm seriously considering paying for an early gender ultrasound.

@ellebeerob:  Congratulations!!!  I loved my little nephew so much as a baby (I still do!) he was so sweet.  You are gonna love having a boy.  I love that your intuition was correct!

@MrsDW:  I don't know if my size worked because I got the "skinny" style?  Maybe that style is more snug than the others.  It also has some stretch.  And, I'm with you- my gender scan in February 12.  I'm also bummed because DH won't be able to be there- he is going to be out of town all month working, so there's no way to postpone.  I thought about having them write it on a card, and waiting until he gets home, but we are both too impatient for that!

@saltybalty:  I'm attaching a picture of the Old Navy jeans so you can get an idea. For some reason it is sideways, but you get the idea...

@MrsDW:  I had mine today at 14w6d. I cheated and scheduled two different ones today (one with my ob's office and one with the radiology dept of my PCP). The tech at my OB's office said she was 100% sure and explained that "girl parts" are just as noticeable as boy parts and explained what to look for and where it was On my baby. The other tech at the radiology/PCP place said it was too early and she couldn't tell for sure but because she couldn't see anything between baby's legs, she was "almost positive" it was a girl. I just nodded and smiled because I already knew. I think it really depends on the tech doing the u/s and how experienced s/he is. The first one at OB's office said she can always tell for sure at 15 weeks if baby's cooperating. Hope that helps!

Its a GIRL!!!!! And even better my friend did a quick "anatomy scan" and baby has everything she should have and it all looks great. Our real anatomy scan is at 20 weeks (1/15) but I feel so happy to know all is well in there! I am currently surfing the internet for baby tutus and giant flower headbands. I already told DH I am probably signing my clothing budget over to little Sophie :)

    @ellebeerob:  Congrats!

@anotherbee:  Honestly, I think the full panel acts a little bit like a shaper- that's what I liked about it.  They didn't have the smaller panel in the "skinny" style, so I couldn't even try it.  In the buff I look a little more round!

@bwaychick:  cute jeans and adorable baby bump!! Bummer that dh can't be there, and I know all about being impatient and not wanting to wait for the results. If you have iPhones i would FaceTime during the announcement ;)

@legalese:  wow. My dr refused to do the scan before 20 weeks. I tried for 16 or 18 and she said no. So glad you got to find out this early :)

@anotherbee:  even if your due date changes and you're a July momma you have to stay here! Your my board bestie ;)

@Ballet513:  yay! Congrats on the little girl!

@bwaychick:  those jeans look fantastic on you! it definitely makes me want to get a pair. and your bump looks great! I like Mrs. DW's advice to facetime with DH during your gender announcement or at least have him on the phone during it if you can. If he can't be there or listen in during the appointment, can you bring a friend or family member with you or would you rather hear it by yourself?

@Ballet513:  congrats on finding out your baby's gender today, too!

such exciting news today! two little girls and a boy, wow!

@saltybalty:  @MrsDW:  Thanks for the FaceTime advice- I will definitely try to do that if there's wi-fi or at least have him on the phone.  I am taking my best friend- I already had him put it in his calendar.  We've been besties since 9th grade, and he's like a brother to me.  And thanks! The bump is coming in in earnest!

I'm so jealous of all you who know the gender!  I won't hit twenty weeks until the third week of January and that is when they do the anatomy scan.  My mommy intuition is saying boy.... but I think that is based mostly on the fact that I kind of want a girl first (just don't tell my son).

@MyFavouriteChords:  my mommy intuition says boy too. Just because we want a girl so bad I don't want to hope there's one cooking away in there. And yor 20 week scan will be here soon :) I keep trying to tell myself that and I have to wait until Feb 4th.

@bwaychick:  I hope FaceTime works for you :) or at least the phone. So excited you get to take your BFF! Bet he's excited too. :)

Hi everyone I was a bit unsure if my due date is late June or early July but I have since had 2 scans, the dating one put the due date at 26th June and the 12 week scan last week put it at 29th of June so I am joining the June board! :)

That is so awesome that some of you know the gender of your babies already!  I am slightly jealous :p

@ellebeerob:  Congrats on your baby boy!

@Ballet513:  and  @legalese: Congrats on your baby girls!

@MrsDW:  I don't get to find out for another 7 weeks!  My next scan will be the 20 week one which will be around 7th February.

I am getting excited now, but I have a confession. I walked out of our ultrasound sobbing! I knew it was a boy, but I know nothing about boys and I am just so scared! All my friends have reassured me that they're usually pretty easy and sweet :) I just have my heart set on ONE of our children being a girl someday, so I was kind of hoping to get it out of the way with the first one. My husband is absolutely over the moon excited!

@ellebeerob:  That's totally understandable.  The good news is you have 6 months to get used to the idea, and I'm sure your husband's excitement will wear off on you.  I have always pictured myself with at least one girl, so it will definitely be an adjustment if they tell us it's a boy.  But truly, in the end I know you'll fall in love the second you meet him face to face!

@MrsDW:  Yay thats neat we are close together :)

@ellebeerob:  I know exactly how you feel, I really want to have at least 1 girl someday.  Boys are great tho!  I teach 1st grade and I tell you I would much rather have a boy heavy class than a girl heavy one.

Girls are lovely and very loyal to their teacher but they are more full on.  Boys are so much fun!  You can joke around with them, and they are very honest and upfront.  At the end of each break time its mainly my boys waiting for me by the staff room door to walk me back to class, and they always want to hold my keys or drink bottle and help out :)

@ellebeerob:  aww don't feel bad momma! I'm pretty sure if they tell us its a boy ill ask them to check again and leave in tears. We really want a girl. And if this is a girl we might be done after this baby. Pretty sure that's why my "momma intuition" is saying its a boy so that I'm not too upset if its really a boy. It will take some getting used too. But the upside is hopefully next one will be a girl and your little boy can be protective of his little sister. I used to want a boy first for that reason. :)

@Snickers95:  anotherbee and someone else are near the end of June with us. I'm still half asleep so I can't exactly remember who else. :)

@ellebeerob:  Congratulations!!! I love all these reveals! My SIL loves her baby boy (she had a girl first), she says he much more cuddly and close to momma and less drama apparently haha. Ladies and our horomones right?

I thought we could start a Role Call since this is a new thread and we've had some additions to our June mama's in the last little while:

How far along: 17 weeks tomorrow :)

Gender/Best guess: Team Green, thinking it's a boy though

Weight gain: 9 lbs (giver or take at my last appt) So sad, I've never weighed this much in my life

    Stretch marks: Not yet.

Sleep: Getting difficult, I've started putting a pillow between my knees, and behind my back, I still manage to end up on my back though.

Movement: Started feeling bubbles/pops on monday, now I'm pretty sure it's baby since I feel them sporadically all over my lower abdomen where my uterus is presently cushioned.  Especially after I eat or when I'm crushing my uterus by attempting to bend over.

Cravings: Nothing really. All things salty still fit my cravings, yay for high blood pressure

Symptoms: Heartburn, started last week. Still pretty exhausted most days, partially because I wake up at 4:45 to go to work. Lower back pain when I'm on my feet for too long (good thing I'm a nurse right)

What I'm looking forward to: My ultrasound on January 10th :) I will be 19 weeks, so I'm very excited to see our little one

What I miss: Wine. As bad as that sounds, work has been hellish the last few weeks and I could really have used a few glasses of wine on some days. Oh well, it will definitely be worth it in June :)

Emotions: Happy most of the time, my patience and tolerance level for stupidity is not what it used to be though.

    How far along: 13w5d

Gender/Best guess: will find out Feb 2nd. guessing team blue though.

Weight gain: Dont hate me. 0 lbs. but dr said I can only gain 15 this pregnancy so I'm on track.

    Stretch marks: Not yet.

Sleep: I love my snoogle! It sucks for cuddling with hubby but helps me sleep comfortably so it's staying put :)

    Movement: None

Cravings: carbs! And a sub sandwich. I have more food aversions than cravings. Although I'm dieing to eat our family tradition Christmas pasta.

Symptoms: none? Food aversions, itchy boobs, and I'm constantly warm. Are those even symptoms?

What I'm looking forward to: Pregnancy: gender ultrasound Feb 4th. Normal life: Christmas! And Christmas pasta ;)

What I miss: Alcohol!! Went out to dinner with family and I had to settle on water :(

Emotions: Definately have crazy mood swings. And I start crying easier.

Hey fellow June momma's -- awhile ago some of us changed our wedding dates to our estimated due dates! It's been super helpful in remembering who is due when/how far along. Anyone else up for changing theirs? :)

Hey ladies! I don't have time to do the roll call at the moment but I had a quick question, especially for those of you that found out the gender early. Did you do one of those elective 4d ultrasounds? I was thinking of doing one since DH will be out of town for my 22 week ultrasound. (It's at 22 weeks because we are going to visit his family for a week and a half when I'm at 20 weeks). Anyway, I found a 4d clinic in his hometown where we could get a gender "sneak peek" for $85 and I thought it might be fun especially since we'd be with his fam. And it would enable us to find out the gender together in person.  But then I've been reading stuff online that says the 4d ultrasounds are dangerous? I'm going to ask my doc at my next appt but I thought I'd see what you guys think.

How far along: 17 weeks today!

Gender/Best guess: will find out on January 7th. no preference. intuition says maybe a boy, but I thought it was maybe a girl just two weeks prior, so pay no attention.

    Weight gain: 7 lbs

Stretch marks: None yet (fingers crossed as I rub more lotion on my belly)

Sleep: pretty restless. have been waking up a lot of mornings an hour or two before my alarm and can't fall back to sleep. I think it's just because my belly is getting more uncomfortable and I'm normally a back or stomach sleeper.

Movement: yep! not constant or on command, but have been feeling occasional flutters for about 1.5 or 2 weeks.

Cravings: um, everything? i feel like i'm hungry all day long and anytime I watch a cooking show, I automatically want what they're making on tv. still craving more salty than sweet....although I found out last week that a new 24 hr. dunkin donuts just opened up less than a block from my apartment. that could be the end of me.

Symptoms: not sleeping as well. occasional heartburn and light headedness. bleeding gums when I brush my teeth.

What I'm looking forward to: finding out the gender in about two weeks! also, one week later, I'll officially hit the half-way point of this thing (20 weeks)!

What I miss: sushi, sleeping like a rock, my waistline, and my slightly thinner butt and thighs:)

Emotions: generally pretty happy and excited, but all of my emotions feel a little bit more heightened. I get stressed out/worried a bit easier (and I was already a worrier by nature) and have less patience at work.

I'm so excited to use them and have a stylin baby! I also ordered one online in a bigger sizE. I'm going to start buying 1-2 a month to stock up and spread out the cost a bit. I also bought bibs and blankets today at 50% off! Good baby day today!

How far along: 15 weeks 3 days

Gender/Best guess: Team Green, I've been starting to get the feeling that it's a girl recently. Nub theory says more likely girl too.

Weight gain: 3-4 lbs which is new, I was sitting at about a pound and a half up until recently.

Stretch marks: Not yet, just a few I had from before but not on my tummy. Using baby oil although I'm sure it won't save me haha.

Sleep: Not to bad most days, I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes for what seems like no reason and toss and turn a bit, but overall I'm getting ok sleep.

Movement: Felt it for the first time yesterday :) and then I felt it again today and I can confirm it's movement. It feels to me like a tiny flick, or a very light muscle twitch in my uterus. Yesterday I was sitting with my knees bent putting pressure on my uterus and I felt it probably 7-8 times. Then just a few minutes ago I felt it, this time only 2-3 times but I know for sure it's baby, it's not a sensation I've ever felt before.

Cravings: Nothing in particular actually, still digging salty more than sweet, and carbs of course.

Symptoms: Still battling being tired, but I get up at 5am everyday and commute an hour to work each way, so I'm always a little tired. Noticing more and more heartburn too, boo!

What I'm looking forward to: Christmas with my family, feeling more of our little peanut's movements (and the day that DH can feel it too!), my next ultrasound mid January.

What I miss: I'm missing drinking a little bit, especially now that it's the holidays. A nice glass of wine with dinner or a liqueur after would be nice, but baby is totally worth it.

Emotions: Good most days! I'm a little sensitive to people's comments though, and can be easily irritated.

    How far along: 13w4d

Gender/Best guess: Hopefully we will find out early Feb.  No real feelings at all, this week I think girl but last week I thought boy!

Weight gain: About 5 lbs.  I actually gained heaps of weight in the beginning but think it was mainly bloat which has now gone down.

Stretch marks: None yet, but my veins are so much more visible!

Sleep: Been ok.  Its a bit annoying having to get up to go to the bathroom every night but I  am sleeping well.  A few times I have woken up on my stomach and it scares me!

Movement: Nothing yet, think its too early.

    Cravings: Sour things!

Symptoms: Being tired mid-afternoon and having to have a nap!  Also my skin, I have gross breakouts on my chin.  Extreme hunger - going from being fine to being super hungry in a couple of minutes!

What I'm looking forward to: The 20 week scan early Feb and actually getting a proper baby bump.  At the moment it still looks like I have just eaten too much.

What I miss: I want a salami sandwich from subway so badly!  And an oreo sundae from McDonalds made with soft serve.

Emotions: Fine most of the time but I do get over emotional watching tv shows and the news sometimes.

@bwaychick:  I don't have a ton of knowledge on 4D ultrasounds but I know they are offered at my regular OB office. I imagine they wouldn't offer them in a doctors office if they weren't safe. I had a regular u/s done last night and the gender was obvious (at 16 weeks 4 days) we did get a 3D pic as well but it wasn't necessary to determine the gender. Good luck!

Thank you, that is good to know. I assume that they are only bad if you are going like twice a week or something.....@Ballet513:

@anotherbee:  I am obsessed with researching cloth diapers. I can't wait to get my hands on some! Do you mind if I ask what type you are using? I'm thinking were going to do mostly prEfolds and covers. There are a lot of sites that have a cloth diaper registry too if you wanted to register for some. Last night I was looking at diaper junction and nickis diapers (or something like that) and they had all the brands I was interested in....

Does anyone else's iPhone do weird auto correct when typing on here?

@bwaychick:  2 of my ultrasound techs "flipped into 4d" for us a few times. I'm with Ballet513, I don't know much about them, but I'm guessing its safe if the dr's office is doing it. But I've had to defend my "multiple ultrasounds" to people who think I'm hurting the baby by having this many too.
