VintageGinger:  Only thing I’ve actually done is to secure the ceremony/reception spot, and finished my brooch bouquet. I’ve interviewed some videographers by phone, but never followed up with them.

VintageGinger:  I got engaged in February 2014 and already have a lot done since I knew I’d be busy from June-December 2014. I’ve booked the venue for ceremony/reception, caterer, DJ, dress, photographer, day-of coordinator. I’d try to aim for getting this stuff done by the end of 2014 – the best people with the best rates get booked early! And if you book earlier you have a better chance of negotiating a discount, since June is a busy month.

VintageGinger:  We have a church and reception venue picked out, and I am going dress shopping this weekend, although I will probably not buy anything until november or December since my mom won’t be with me and I’ve always imagined my mom being there when I pick the dress. We just decided on the menu, and we are looking into decorations and theme.  I want to do Art Deco but its so overplayed lately I might change that.  We are June 28th, you?

We are getting married June 6. I bought my dress in March. I’ve booked the ceremony site, venue, photographer, and dj. My venue takes care of decorating, catering, and drinks so I have those things out of the way as well. I’ve also got my engagement photo session booked and have a guitarist booked to play for the ceremony. I had even began ordering some invitation samples and the FI and I made a decision on which one we will be going with. Next week I’m going bridesmaid dress shopping too. We’re working on figuring out the officiant, but we have decided on what florist and baker we will be using. I also have accessories picked out to go with my gown, one of them being a custom made hair accessory. My next mission is to find the perfect shoes!

VintageGinger:  We have a ton of things finished, but I am a full time grad student and I have been engaged since last August, so it was sort of my goal to finish most everythig before the fall semester started in September. Also, I’m getting married in a major city so things here book unbelievably fast. We had to book almost 2 years out just to get a Saturday in June at the venue we wanted.

We’ve got our venue (which includes linens, chairs, food, cake, open bar, etc.), photographer, band (music), his wedding band (jewelry), florist, church, officient, lighting, my dress and veil, hair and makeup artists, valet, classic car, guest transportation, wedding party transportation, hotel for the night before and the night of, save the dates (sent!), and we’ve started to purchase wedding party gifts. Whew!

We still have some things to work on like photography permits for the city, invitations, hotel bags, bathroom baskets, meeting with all of our vendors, seating charts, escort cards, groom’s attire, etc. I went shoe shopping last weekend and I have a pair in mind I might purchase! We also DESPERATELY need to get moving on planning our honeymoon! Even though we’ve done so much, it still feels like we have SO MUCH left to do.

As for threads that might help you: we have an entire board dedicated to June of 2015 bees. Be sure to check it out! And welcome to the bee 🙂

We’re date twins!  I’m also getting married June 13th.  I got engaged in March and so far I have the venue booked, the ceremony and reception are in the same place.  My officiant booked, dj booked, photographer booked and engagement pictures taken.  I found, ordered, and recieved my dress.  I just bought my wedding shoes but I might change my mind about those.  I have plans to look at some bridesmaids dresses later this month.  Right now I’m looking for a tailor/seamstress to alter my dress, blocking off hotel rooms, and trying to decide if I will make my own save the dates or not.  I’m slowly working on making my decorations, I really need to get moving on that!

i’m june 20th!

so far, we’ve chosen our bridal party, booked our venue and tent, booked a caterer, dj, day of coordinator and photographers. we’ve done our engagement photos and i’m aiming to send stds in november. we’ve also looked into transportation for guests, booked a hotel block, made a wedding website and registered and chosen our invitations. we’ve decided on a friday night event, so booked that caterer, and a sunday morning brunch so we’ve roughly decided everything for that as well. we’ve bought my wedding band and chosen his, just waiting to purchase his till it’s closer. favours are also taken care of.

i still need to – decide on boquets and centrepieces, decor and a chuppah. do bridal party attire, possibly videography, send invitations (too early yet!), buy a gown for me, suit for him, decide on the bar situation, and reserve all our rentals, and decide on ceremony music and the ceremony.

We’re getting married June 6th, but have been engaged for almost a year. I didn’t start planning anything until January/February, and I wish we had started sooner – things in our city were already booked up at that point (in fact, our venue, that we booked in early March, only had 2 dates left for the summer of 2015).

Since then, we’ve booked our venues, hotel blocks, band and photographer. Our venue is basically all-inclusive, so we don’t have to worry about finding a caterer. We got our engagement photos done in August. I bought my dress about a month ago, and we’ve narrowed it down to 2 florists, so that should be booked this week or next. We just ordered our STDs today.

Next on the list is bridesmaids dresses. And then invitations (though I’m pretty sure I already found the ones I want). After that, the rest is (mostly) just details!
