Hi! I'm June 5th, 2011. I already have my venues, gown, MOH dress (only attendant), guitarist for ceremony, and my jp. So, no, it is not too early!
As far as changing your mind...you will see by reading that boards that that is pretty common. There are many, many two dress even three dress brides! I think we all have the "grass is alwasy greener" or "what if..." syndromes!
I would suggest you def. try on dresses, and soon. Mine, which I ordered last month, is going to take 4 months just to get in. Then the fittings and adjustments...def. a year is not too soon!
Hello date twin!
We put down a deposit on our venue and are looking at caterers. We've decided on an officiant (but haven't signed yet) and have our photographer (we knew who we would use even before we got engaged).
I'm looking at dresses the end of next month. I know what you mean about wondering whether it is too early. I think it is ok, as long as you are sure you can stop looking once you buy one.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm only having a maid of honor and no other bridesmaids, too. I'm hoping that means less stress if we're only picking out one awesome dress for her that doesn't have to match anyone else's style or bodies.
Hooray other June 26th brides!! :)
I didn't think I'd find many because Sunday weddings are rarer, but I've much preffered the Sunday weddings I've been to, actually! The vibe is generally more laid-back and classy, in my opinion.
I've been looking for a job recently so wedding plans have slowed down, but we've got the venue booked, dinner/appetizer menu decided, photographer booked, and I've ordered my dress. We've been looking @ sample invitations, too... but I'm just so picky, it's hard to decide! Next things to tackle are getting an officiant and wedding music, I think!
Hey! I am a June 26th bride as well :) I already have my gown. I think you should start searching for a gown and order it immediatly. I have everthing booked & planned, except the honeymoon.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I'm new to posting, but have been peaking around the boards for a few weeks now.
The date is a year out, but I feel like I've got some of the big details under control. We have a date and a deposit is put down on our ceremony/reception venue.
I'm checking out dresses on Thursday with my mom and maid of honor, but wondering if it is really too early to make any final decision about that. I can already see myself changing my mind over and over again in the next year.
I have a caterer in mind, but need to work out a menu that is going to work with vegetarians and the meat and potatoes crowd.
