Geez, I'm getting my invites out this weekend... hopefully.

My wedding is July 10. I just sent out my invitations not even a week ago and yesterday I got 6 RSVPs back in the mail. Sometimes the USPS gets it done! And those guests must be really excited about the wedding :)
Are you doing only online RSVPs?
I got three in the mail yesterday!! I was so excited. Every day the trip to the mailbox is going to be exciting now!
I'm a June bride.... My sister is in charge of designing the invitations and my aunt is in charge of printing them and I'm in charge of sending them out..... but I haven't gotten them back from my aunt and my sister isn't done with them... I'm getting so nervous... especially hearing that a June 26er bride has already sent hers out...Anyhow congrats! I can't wait to get mine sent out and receive RSVPs!
Oh I wouldn't worry about being "behind" - I actually sent mine out a couple of weeks earlier than we originally planned because the main hotel we booked informed us that they are going to release our rooms earlier than we originally planned, so I wanted to get the invites out in plenty of time for guests to book. We had to scramble (we DIY'd them) but it feels good to have them off my hands!
We're mainly doing online RSVP, but did include an RSVP insert card (without postage) in case people prefer to mail them in.
We mailed last week and are doing all online RSVPs---so far, 25 responses back out of 75 mailed, which isn't bad. We're holding the last 25 invites because we wanted to get a gauge on out-of-towners first, and possibly add a few more local friends if space allows (but didn't want to start inviting those circles before we knew exactly who was getting an invite)....unfortunately all but three of the RSVPs have been yeses and many we already knew would come, which doesn't help! The more I read about it, the more it seems like the nos are the last responses to come back. So much for our brilliant plan...
my at is july 17th and we sent out invites on a saturday and they had made it to the guest by monday... and we started receiving them back on that wednesday... and they've been coming everyday since

I just sent out my invitations on Saturday, and we received 2 RSVPs today via our website! I can't believe it - way to go, USPS, for getting those babies to their destination so quickly!
