Well, all I can say is About Time!  I feel like I’ve been engaged forever.  17 months down, 1 to go.  And it is a busy time.

Skittles131:  Yes!  29 days to go now!

wabanzi:  Ugh, and I thought 14 months was bad!  Planning used to be fun – like 12 months ago!  We are just ready for it to be here already.  And I think we’re at the point that we are looking forward to just being married and going to Disney World than our wedding.  But that aside, I am excited!  We’ve been waiting and waiting and planning and planning for a day that’s now less than a month away.  Seems surreal…

Skittles131:  I’m so over planning. I have a lot of little details to take care of and I’m just like whatev.

I’m really more focused on finding a job and our honeymoon than anything.

donna_saur:  What is so strange is all the planning is done…It is now just putting it all together, follow ups, confirmations, writing checks, etc.

Ahh it’s this month now!

I’m a little anxious because my dress isn’t done yet, and neither ismy veil, but they both will be soon, and I know they’ll be fabulous!

I’m finishing up our photo guestbook today, and we’re getting back our entree selections, and it’s kind of fun judging people’s choices 😛

Also today I met my goal of running a mile and a half without stopping, the second half of which was uphill. This wedding encouraged me to finally get fit, my next goal is to double it and be able to run a 5K.

donna_saur:  Stressed! I had a horrible makeup trial done the other day, so now I’m considering doing my own (which was my original plan). I just can’t seem to find a MUA to do it “right”.

On top of all things wedding, I’m also job hunting for my first “career” job. I think that is what I am most stressed about!

MichiganGirl24:  OH NO!!!  That would scare me, too!  I am having my hair done, but doing my own makeup.  I don’t usually wear a lot and I was worried I’d look like a clown…or at the very least, not like myself!  I did mine for my bridals and it looked just like I wanted it.

Ooooh!  Good luck, girl!  I know that must be a lot of extra stress on you.  But hopefully it will be worth it.  🙂

donna_saur:  thanks! I am definitely going for a natural look- like myself, just a little more for the whole picture aspect. I just can’t find anyone who can do that!

What do you (and everyone else!) have left to do for the big day??

MichiganGirl24:  Reception music.  And FI’s groomsmens’ gifts.  Also, my FMIL’s invitations are still not sent.  She wants a list of what has been sent before she gives me the list of the rest of her relatives.  Makes no sense to me, but we’ve been asking for these since STDs last summer.

I had several misunderstandings with our planner/lifelong family friend and my bridal shoot flowers were wrong.  And she didn’t get the vases done for the centerpieces, so I had to change gears and order something completely different.  FINALLY got that sorted out.

Oh, and my little sister got a HUGE orange and teal arm tattoo a couple of weeks ago.  I get that it’s her body, but really??  My mom is NOT happy.  So that’s been drama.

donna_saur:  Stressed but okay I think! My custom wedding dress should finally be done on Wednesday, I’ll be getting my veil from Etsy next week, and tomorrow FI and I have our one dance lesson so we can kind of look like we know what we’re doing for the upbeat song we chose (we’ll be swing dancing) lol.

ladyamalthea:  How fun!  That will be a great experience.  We are going to be that stand-and-sway couple, I’m pretty sure!  Haha!

What kind of veil did you order??  I ordered mine from Jasmine’s and got wayyy more than I bargained for!  I asked for fingertip and got a fully lace edged cathedral length veil!  It’s beautiful even if it’s changing my wedding look a little!

Can’t wait to see your custom dress!
