Yay!!! This is my date too and I agree we are saving thousands of dollars this way. It works out because I always envisioned a Sunday wedding. Is yours going to be in the evening?
As of right now it will be in the early afternoon. Most of my guests are OOT and I want to make it easy for them to drive home that evening, if they choose to. =) Yay for a date twin, finally!
we're date twins :) our ceremony starts at 3 and the reception will be over about 9, and yes it is saving us money. Our venue doesn't offer a buffet option on saturday so we decided to go with sunday, not only is it cheaper but it's the same food and more choices, and i fell in love with our venue and decided i'd rather have a buffet there then a sit down anywhere else!
Awesome! I'm nervous about the times when it comes to a sunday, most of my family lives about an hour away, the rest is flying in from the east coast, but for those that aren't getting a hotel, I'm concerned they'll want to leave early to get home that night, and my parents are encouraging me to start the ceremony early in the afternoon (around 1) I'm worried that it won't have the formal feel I'm looking for, and it won't be an evening reception, which my FI and I really want. Advice?
Welcome, date twins! I hope planning is going well for you.
@bells: good luck deciding on a date!
Yayy Date Twins! I finally found you! haha! For a minute I thought I was the only 6/5/11 out there
Kind of? I want a daytime wedding, so Sunday is out for me because the church will be holding service. I'm going with Friday. Five days after you!
