Hey June Brides... It's getting closer! What all do you have to do in April? Here's what I'm up to:

    • Getting out invitations
    • Beginning dress fittings
    • Painting the table numbers
    • Figuring out a backdrop for our popcorn buffet
    • FINDING popcorn for the popcorn buffet
    • Undergarments!
    • Rehearsal dinner whatnot
    • Hair trial
    • Deciding on centerpieces (I'm doing milkglass so I have to figure out what I want where)
    • Music! Ah. I hate figuring out songs.
    • Helping BMs with shoes
    • Finding ring bearer outfits / ring book, bowl, etc.
    • And on, and on, and on...

I just posted mine in the March to-do list, but I totally forgot one item:

    1) purchase wedding rings. The FI is having trouble deciding what he wants, especially which metal. He's basically waiting for someone to convince him to get white gold instead of platinum.

I have to purchase rings too! We haven't even begun to look and my FI keeps saying it's fine, it's fine. Sheesh! LOL.

dancergmu3 - we only went looking for wedding rings once so far. We got my engagement ring from a friend of a friend who's a jewelry designer and works with a bench jeweler. But she doesn't have a large selection for FI to try on, she mostly works with catalogs and helps you decide what you're looking for. We'll go back to her for the wedding rings, but he needs to decide if his heart is really set on platinum by then.

Ok, April scares me a lil.  This is what I can think of:

    *dress fitting

    *hair/make-up trial

    *send out invitations

    *go to dreaded shower

    *paint monogram on aisle

*repaint giftbox because my cat thought he should pee on it... awesome.

*paint shepherd's hooks and make pomanders for them

*take flower girl to get shoes and jewerly

I have a lot of other projects I might do, but I really don't want to.  Things like programs, DIY favors.  I should decide on that in April too.  Yikes.

My number one goal is to get the invites out!

I have everything purchased for my maids except a pair of earrings, but my FI needs to get the groomsmen gifts.

I will proabably meet with the hall to talk about food and timeline.. not meeting with the dj till about a month out.

I also have a dress fitting at the end of april.

Ceremony music is done, I have to finish finding my jewelry & get shapewear for under my dress (if i decide i want it...)

I need to get parents gifts too.

Done with the florist, programs are designed, need to get a final look for the escort cards... my invites are taking forever though!

Here's my April to do - keeps getting bigger, especially now that I've read what other people lists and it seems I was missing some items that need to get done. Umm also I think I may need to delegate some stuff.

    • Meet w/venue coordiator to go over her proposal for day of design of ceremony and reception.
    • Schedule Hair trial and appointments for myself and BM's
    • Update registries - Grrr to Macy's, almost everything we added in Nov/Dec has gone on sale and then fallen off of our registry. We had 200+ items that is now down to 98.
    • Write up ceremony/vows
    • Grooms and Groomsmen tuxes
    • Address and send invites
    • MOB and FMIL dresses
    • Give photos to brother for slide show
    • Make ring pillow and garter
    • Prepare guest book quilt and instructions
    • 1st Dress fitting
    • Start gathering materials for kids table

Oh my gosh! Thank you for this! I have been lost at what I should be doing right now... although it looks like I am figuring it out Wink because I seem to be in the same place as you! I literally just copied all your lists onto a word document and then edited it down to what I need to do.

First order of priority is to get wedding bands! Second is to assemble and address invites. I want them out by our shower - which is 4/10, so here's hoping. Then booking the rehearsal dinner.

Otherwise, I have a few final craft projects up my sleeve (expanding the card box, sucker towers for the candy buffet - ala Martha, rehearsal dinner invites, programs). I have to get my craft projects done by the end of the month. FI said I'm not allowed to have any more projects after the 2 month mark because he says I don't need the stress.

April? I'm still trying to finish March! :)

    March: (what's left of it)
    - Meet with caterer on 3/31

    - Decide how many chairs/tables we need and tell our event person @the venue

    - Order RSVPS (I didn't know if we'd need to include entree info on there or not...I love vistaprint.)

I started an April list for you all but it kept going and going...so instead I'm just going to update the checklist I have on weddingwire.com.

Yay! 75 days until June 12, 2010 (thank goodness--I'm burnt out!)

It's not even April yet, and I'm already crossing off! Too bad I'll be totally limited by Easter next weekend. I might have to spend the time studying for a midterm instead of crafting.

    1) Ask a friend to officiate

    2) Ask a friend to do a reading at the wedding

    3) Hire a DJ

    4) Find clothes for the groom and his men

    5) Put a deposit down on the rehearsal dinner location (ate there, feel better about it now)

    6) Hire ceremony musicians

    7) Have a hair and make-up trial

    8) Crafting: moss monograms, aisle decorations, bridesmaid jewelry (purchased supplies), programs

    9) Buy or at least think about wedding bands

    10) Buy candy for buffet (Easter clearance!)

Omg! 73 more days till my wedding day. There are things that I’ve been procrastinating about. Thought I had lot’s of time to do but now I’m panicking…

Here’s my to do list for April:

    • Choose the MOH, BM’s and FG’s attire (FI already chose the men’s attire so we just have to keep the men in check so that they go get fitted for the tux and put in their down payment)
    • Choose a wedding cake and who’s baking our cake. (Got a number to a “cake lady I got an appointment to see her tomorrow). I know what flavors I want though.
    • Book a limo or two?
    • Book a florist or decide where I will buy the flowers for the centerpieces. I was thinking Costco but first I have to figure out which flower and how many I would need.
    • Get fitted for my wedding dress. Finish alterations and buy my wedding dress accessories: undergarments and jewelry.
    • Place the engagement announcement in the paper.
    • Plan the rehearsal dinner maybe make invitations?
    • Make our centerpieces
    • Book our honeymoon
    • Design my ceremony program
    • Send out invitations to wedding
    • Make a big payment to our photographer
    • Buy insurance for our reception hall

I just know I’m forgetting something major, but that’s all I can think of for now…

here's my April to do list...my May/June list is almost twice as long so I'll be doing a lot of those things also, just so I won't be overwhelmed when comes down to crunch time...

    Make my veil

Finish the invitations & then send them out

Gather all the BMs & GMs gifts

Order all the fun stuff for the fauxto booth

Order the flowers (we're only needing boutonierres, corsages and 2 small arrangements for the canopy)

order anything I was planning to get online (bells, heel protectors: these awesome attachments that go on the heel of you stilettos so you won't sink into the grass & what not)

Book hotel for the night before & night of the wedding

    Order tuxes

finally do our registry Foot in mouth

and if we don't have the bakery do them, then make the monogram sticks for the cupcakes.

Like I said there really wasn't much that needed to be done in April but there still is alot to do before the wedding so once I get the critical things out of the way, then I'll start doing the things that need to be done before the wedding. I am starting to feel a little frazzled now that I'm looking at my list of things to do....murrrr

    • Make bouts/corsages
    • Finalize all recipes (driks, buffet, reahursal picnic)
