April is a busy one!
* Dress Fitting
* Makeup Trial
* Find an outfit for my Super-Secret-Shower that I know nothing about
* Attend my Super-Secret-Shower that I know nothing about
* Seating Chart
* Find Shoes
* Find Undergarments
* Start writing my vows - eep!
I just posted mine in the March to-do list, but I totally forgot one item:
1) purchase wedding rings. The FI is having trouble deciding what he wants, especially which metal. He's basically waiting for someone to convince him to get white gold instead of platinum.
I have to purchase rings too! We haven't even begun to look and my FI keeps saying it's fine, it's fine. Sheesh! LOL.
dancergmu3 - we only went looking for wedding rings once so far. We got my engagement ring from a friend of a friend who's a jewelry designer and works with a bench jeweler. But she doesn't have a large selection for FI to try on, she mostly works with catalogs and helps you decide what you're looking for. We'll go back to her for the wedding rings, but he needs to decide if his heart is really set on platinum by then.
April:
3rd...and hopefully final dress fitting

Thank you for this post. It gave me a chance to gather my thoughts:)
My number one goal is to get the invites out!
I have everything purchased for my maids except a pair of earrings, but my FI needs to get the groomsmen gifts.
I will proabably meet with the hall to talk about food and timeline.. not meeting with the dj till about a month out.
I also have a dress fitting at the end of april.
Ceremony music is done, I have to finish finding my jewelry & get shapewear for under my dress (if i decide i want it...)
I need to get parents gifts too.
Done with the florist, programs are designed, need to get a final look for the escort cards... my invites are taking forever though!
Here's my April to do - keeps getting bigger, especially now that I've read what other people lists and it seems I was missing some items that need to get done. Umm also I think I may need to delegate some stuff.
Oh my gosh! Thank you for this! I have been lost at what I should be doing right now... although it looks like I am figuring it out
because I seem to be in the same place as you! I literally just copied all your lists onto a word document and then edited it down to what I need to do.
For all those June 5er's...I cant believe it's almost 2 months away!!!!! The lists will start getting longer & longer. Anywho, here it goes...
*2nd dress fitting / decide on veil or birdcage
*Make-up trial
*Finish ceremony details
*Pick out songs
*Get our rings engraved
*Flower girl / ring bearer gifts
*Attend 1st bridal shower & bachelorette party (whooohooooo!)
*Make sure GM's are getting fitted
*Table numbers?!?
I am so so excited that our Big Days are coming up so quickly!
Here's my list:
*decide between calling guests or sending out invitations for our rehearsal dinner
*talk to band about which songs we want them to play and/or learn
*look into dancing studios to take ballroom dancing with FI
*look for another dress (am not so in love with my current one)
*workout like all he** with trainer
*meet with jeweler about getting wedding bands made
*order material for my veil and meet with friend who is making it

ugh..so much to do but so excited!
First order of priority is to get wedding bands! Second is to assemble and address invites. I want them out by our shower - which is 4/10, so here's hoping. Then booking the rehearsal dinner.
Otherwise, I have a few final craft projects up my sleeve (expanding the card box, sucker towers for the candy buffet - ala Martha, rehearsal dinner invites, programs). I have to get my craft projects done by the end of the month. FI said I'm not allowed to have any more projects after the 2 month mark because he says I don't need the stress.
April? I'm still trying to finish March! :)
March: (what's left of it)
- Meet with caterer on 3/31
- Decide how many chairs/tables we need and tell our event person @the venue
- Order RSVPS (I didn't know if we'd need to include entree info on there or not...I love vistaprint.)
I started an April list for you all but it kept going and going...so instead I'm just going to update the checklist I have on weddingwire.com.
Yay! 75 days until June 12, 2010 (thank goodness--I'm burnt out!)
- Finalise drinks reception & wedding breakfast music
- Finalise music for aisle walk
- Start tanning
- 2nd dress fitting
- Hair trial
- Buy gifts for Mums, Dads, Grans & MOH
- Buy undergarments (including garter)
- Sort out my something old & borrowed
- Do more excercise & keep up the diet!!!!
- Have my bachelorette weekend.
- Get marriage licence
- Finalise cake details
- Finalise favour details
- maybe have time to scratch my A** ;-)
Phew, think that's all for now, sure I'll think of something else though :-)
@sulli301 - Ha I must be really concerned about my pasty white skin, considering I put tanning on my list 2 times! Seriously not my highest priority but my subconscious must be speaking up or something...
It's not even April yet, and I'm already crossing off! Too bad I'll be totally limited by Easter next weekend. I might have to spend the time studying for a midterm instead of crafting.
1) Ask a friend to officiate
2) Ask a friend to do a reading at the wedding
3) Hire a DJ
4) Find clothes for the groom and his men
5) Put a deposit down on the rehearsal dinner location (ate there, feel better about it now)
6) Hire ceremony musicians
7) Have a hair and make-up trial
8) Crafting: moss monograms, aisle decorations, bridesmaid jewelry (purchased supplies), programs
9) Buy or at least think about wedding bands
10) Buy candy for buffet (Easter clearance!)
My june 13th wedding April to do list:
phewwww lots to do!
Wow! You ladies put me to shame! Like @scissors, I'm still working on putting together my MARCH to-do list!
Here's what I've got going on for the rest of March & April:
Oooh, baby, have we got a LOT to do!!
Omg! 73 more days till my wedding day. There are things that I’ve been procrastinating about. Thought I had lot’s of time to do but now I’m panicking…
Here’s my to do list for April:
I just know I’m forgetting something major, but that’s all I can think of for now…
@mashleymarie Thanks for posting this it helps me not to procrastinate..
here's my April to do list...my May/June list is almost twice as long so I'll be doing a lot of those things also, just so I won't be overwhelmed when comes down to crunch time...
Make my veil
Finish the invitations & then send them out
Gather all the BMs & GMs gifts
Order all the fun stuff for the fauxto booth
Order the flowers (we're only needing boutonierres, corsages and 2 small arrangements for the canopy)
order anything I was planning to get online (bells, heel protectors: these awesome attachments that go on the heel of you stilettos so you won't sink into the grass & what not)
Book hotel for the night before & night of the wedding
Order tuxes
finally do our registry
and if we don't have the bakery do them, then make the monogram sticks for the cupcakes.
Like I said there really wasn't much that needed to be done in April but there still is alot to do before the wedding so once I get the critical things out of the way, then I'll start doing the things that need to be done before the wedding. I am starting to feel a little frazzled now that I'm looking at my list of things to do....murrrr
Well my list is huge so I'll just post a few things!
and I could go on and on...but I wont cause it starts to stress me out!
@thefuturemrsgibbs You're more than welcome!
My list is the culmination of everything I neglected to do in Jan, Feb and March... plus April. Sigh.
