I'm not meeting with a florist for a few weeks either! But I'm using peonies, spray roses, and mums!
One of the reasons I chose June was so I could have peonies but when it came to meeting the florist I'd looked at peonies on-line for ages and kinda gone off them. I've gone for gerberas, red roses (Naomi variety), eucalyptus.

im doing my own flowers and our wedding is outdoors so my bouquet is going to be real feel silk flowers ...as for the rest since im in texas weather hot approved ive chosen babys breath--roses--and gerber daisies if budget permits i would love orchids
I am having pink & white roses and raspberry gerber daisies
I'm doing my own flowers, so the current plan is garden roses, dahlias, lisianthus, and maybe ranunculus.
I'm June 12 but we have met with our florist already and are doing peonies for the bouquets, and hydrangeas and dendrobium orchids for teh centerpieces (all white flowers)
Meeting with my florist Thursday! It's the last decision on my list!!! Eeek!!! We originally talked about another flower but I want to ask about peony prices...can't seem to get them out of my head :(
My wedding is on June 18th and when i met with florists they all said it may be hard to get peonies during that time. I dont know much about flowers, but maybe its too warm in San Diego for them?
Ranunculus! Yellow, white, pink, whatever...they're gorgeous!
@inamani:My florist said that the peony season tends to end abruptly which is why it's hard to predict how far out they'll be available. She said they can end as early as April and as late as August but it's so unpredictable that I couldn't risk it. I wouldn't want to have to change my flowers just a couple of weeks before.
My girls will have fuchsia ranunculus and plum dahlias, I think I'm going to have blush pink ranunculus and white hydrangea (I'm out of town so not meeting with florist in person for another month).
@inamani:Not sure if it has something to do with location. My florist said 99% no problem to get peonies. They might not blossom as huge. But she said she will have method to control the time the flowers blossom with the best result.
I guest I can trust her, given that she is really an experienced florist, with many awards + helping national guests to make flowers (e.g. embassy)
I haven't met with my florist yet either! I'm planning on using Orange Gerbera daisies for the girl's bouquets, Orange Ranunculus for the groom, White Ranunculus for the groomsmen, White Carnations with Orange Gerberas, Poppies, Billy Balls, Green Spider Mums and Bright Pink Something :)
My bouquet...hmm. Hydrangeas, Carnations, Bells of Ireland, Gerberas, Ranunculus.. .who knows.
:)
Umm...I pretty much told my florist to do as she wishes as long as the flowers for the centerpieces are ivory. She mentioned ivory roses, carnations, hydrangeas, and some other ivory flower the "sprays."
The only direction that I gave her for the ceremony is to make the aisle thickly covered with black magic rose petals, and specifically how to design my bouquet. Everything else, I pretty much left in her hands.
@inamani: Ah that's a shame maybe it is the heat as I thought May and June is the best time for them.
Doing blue hydrangea, ivory roses, green hypericum berries and ivory wax flower for the reception centerpieces (doing them myself). I want something similar for my girls' bouquets, and I really don't care about mine as long as it doesn't detract from my dress (it's a little busy with lace and pearls and crystals, etc.).
@sit1010: @big_monchhichi: @Prewitt: thanks for the info! i hope they are available.
I'm using hydrangeas (both green and shades of pink), peonies, and roses. For all the other hydrangea ladies out there beware that the need lots of water - we'll be hiding water picks in the stems so they won't wilt!
I am using roses, a mixture of hot pink, medium pink, and light pink. I asked for my bouquet to have big open roses like this picture:

These were from a June '09 wedding. :) Champagne roses for the bride.

These were for the BM's.

Antique Dutch Hydrrangeas!!

Garden Roses! Dark Purple, Light Purple and White!

Lisanthus, Carnations, Dahlias (maybe)
This was my inspiration!
My bouquet is deep red roses, red carnations, mini black callah lilies, and white stephanotis accenting. ^^
These were our flowers last June - ranunculus, peonies, craspedia, waxflower, and dusty miller.
I know I am NUTS...but, I am totally waltzing into Central Market and Whole Foods the morning of my wedding and buying up every flower I think is pretty. I'm not doing bouquets, these will just be for centerpieces. So, I don't know what I'm using until the morning of! It's actually kind of exciting :D
I'm doing white peonies, white roses, calla lillies, and a little bit of white sweet pea. My bridesmaids are each carrying three long-stem calla lillies tied with a dark navy satin ribbon. (My colors are navy and white.)
Im june of next year but were not using flowers at all =) I love to see all the other pretty flowers though, beautiful =D
i'm using calla lilies only, no greenery no nothing.. just them, three per table, a dozen in main entrance, 10 on hand and the rest for boutenneirs/corgases and main table!
