I know I'm one day early, but it's almost a new month.  Can't believe we're 4 months away! Here's what I have to do...

    * Purchase wedding bands

    * Have final meeting with priest

    * Make menus for reception

    * Continue working on candy buffet

    * Book shuttle to take us back to hotel after reception

    * Purchase garter

What do you want to get done this month??

    • Meeting 3 of 4 with pastor
    • Find my veil!
    • Figure out transportation

    Another month bites the dust...Yeah!

    In February, I plan to:

    • Decide on tuxes, request measurements from GMs
    • Have first fitting (eeekkk!) of my dress
    • Find jewelry!
    • Address invites
    • Work on playlist for reception and finalize music for ceremony
    • Begin searching for Candy Buffet accessories
    • Work on ceremony logistics (readings, unity ceremony, etc)

I REALLY want to finalize details like flowers, menu, and decor but my florist and caterer don't want to meet until April/May .... Grr!

    Good Luck Everyone!

@mizrunzou - My baker and caterer don't want a details finalization meeting until April either and it makes me crazy since they're 2 of my biggest things!  But hopefully that means we'll be sure of what we want by that point.

For some reason I'm totally calm about February!  I'm thinking that will change.  I just ordered my invitations and I can't wait to get them!  I think I'll start figuring out how to address them and get that ball rolling.  I don't want to be dealing with that in April, I'd rather have them done and waiting to be mailed out!

The only other things I really have to do are lil DIY projects.  Aaaaand, help my Mother find her dress, which could end up being a challenge, we'll see!

What about my list makes you nervous.. Can you tell I'm nervous by just reading it?Maybe because our wedding date is like 4 months away.. I haven't bought anything. All I have are the STDs I don't want to panic the week before my wedding...

    - buy wedding bands (we went looking last weekend!)

    - choose hors d'oeurves for our menu

    - get FI to go have a look at tuxes/suits

    - finalize a cake design

    - look into equipment rentals for sound system, etc (were doing a laptop music wedding)

I had better get cracking :)

Hi girls, I don't post often, but I made FI a list yesterday so I can share here as well...

*Decide on honeymoon week/research hotels/book flights

*research and buy shoes before dress fitting

    *look into accessories

    *order BM gifts

    *choose GM attire

    *meet with venue decorator/bring inspirations

    *find officiant

*update our website with info. for OOT guests

*find at home photog for engagement pics

so not that much, but very time consuming stuff...after seeing the list FI said he won't give me any more slack for sitting on the internet for hours trying to sort this stuff out... :)

    Okay, here's my list:

    1) Guestbook of Engagement Photos (got the proofs this morning)

    2) Reserved Seating signs

    3) Finalize guest list and make sure we have all addresses (should be almost done since STDs went out with Christmas Cards)

    4) Make FI visit suit rental places and make some decisions

    5) Order headband and necklace to go with dress (arrives February 26 supposedly)

    6) Hire musicians for ceremony and cocktail hour at the least

    7) Talk to Friendors about being officiant and DJ for reception

    8) Decide if I want to hire someone to do hair and make-up or DIY

    9) Start work on escort card board

This is great, very easy to put it all down here. Let's see what's actually done by March 1.

I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago so I'm very behind everyone!  But, here's mine:

    *Order invitations

    *Purchase dress (still looking)

    *Book Photographer

    *Choose dishes for reception

    *FI needs to purchase suit

*Figure out what we should do for gift registry (we might be moving out of the country so we might register for a honeymoon instead)

    *Purchase wedding bands

*Book the rehearsal dinner site (just waiting for a reply from the restraurant)

    *Send out invitations!

Surprisingly, everything else is booked! - our band, pastry chef for the cake, chose the cake fillings and topper, booked our caterer, transportation, ceremony site, officiant, wedding musicians, rentals, guest list, etc.

I got A LOT of stuff done last weekend - - - picked out suits, ordered invitations, booked rental car for honeymoon, & found/bought birdcage cardholder - - - so I dont have too much to do this month which is great!

    I plan on:

    • Meeting with the florist to finalize details
    • Put together list of must-have photo's for the photographer
    • Decide on veil or birdcage & order
    • Finish ceremony (we are putting together all of the wording, etc)
    • Start looking into music

Doesn't it feel great to cross things off your lists?!?!

@ ms.pasuca - Thank you very much - it's very nice to hear that from a fellow bride.

I have to admit, my mother played a large role in all of this - thank goodness for her or I would have completely lost my mind!

Good luck to you on your Feb to-do list!
