I had my niece as a JR BM, the BM dresses and her dress was from Davids Bridal... We did the darker color of the JR BM dress...
Here is the BM dress

And the JR BM Dress

This is her in the dress:
It depends what your bridesmaid's dresses look like, but I'd get something at least similar so they still feel like a bridesmaid. I was a "jr. bridesmaid" in my aunt's wedding when I was 14 and she put me in the biggest size of the same dress her 2 year old flower girl was wearing. I was not happy, I looked like a six foot tall five year old. So my advice is not to do that ;)
My 12 yr old niece is our jr bridesmaid and she is wearing the same dress and color as my bridesmaids. My MOH is also wearing the same dress just in a different color.
The BMs have tea length, strapless, taffeta gowns in an apple green color...a few more questions!
Should I try to keep the materials as close to the same as possible or would it matter?
Should I keep them green or have them wear purple (my other color)?
Should they also be shorter dresses or they could be longer?
I think I'm leaning towards same length and green?
Should I try to keep the materials as close to the same as possible or would it matter? I would keep the material the same if at all possible (that is if you go with different dresses). Most designers make a Jr BM dress to compliment the BM. So maybe looking into that would be a good idea.
Should I keep them green or have them wear purple (my other color)? You could have her wear purple. If your MOH is in purple then they would match. If not then it would be a way to showcase both colors.
Should they also be shorter dresses or they could be longer? I always think that the same length is more uniformed across the board.
@Jamcnair: I'd do the same lenght and fabric, just in something with straps
I have my BM wearing the allure dress and my JB in the dress below but in the same pink thats in the peacock fabric, lucky pick as its the same colour pink !!! JB dress is same fabric and pleat but not as vibrant as she is younger, got JB dress from light in the box, was worried but it arrived and its amazing

@suzieq80: Who makes that white dress (the one below for the junior bridesmaids)? I have 2 juniors and am looking for a dress similar to that one. Thanks!
My bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids, and flower girls will all be wearing from the same designer (Bill Levkoff). I found it would be easiest to order from the same for the similar fabric and design, all the while keeping age appropriateness in mind. One of my jr's will be 14 with the others being between 9 and 10. I didn't want them to feel like a babies in the dress.

I am including my 12 year old sister and (almost) 14 year old future niece as junior bridesmaids and am wondering how anyone else with jr. BMs picked dresses for them? Where were they from? Did they match the older BMs? ( I have only two older BMs who have dresses)
