I think everything will be great, some people might get ‘confused’ if there are some things they haven’t seen before, but adequate signage or a little note in a program etc is usually more than enough to dispell those queries.

If all else fails, let you wedding party know the details and guests can ask them (or whoever else is involved in the planning like a DOC –if you’re having one etc).

Breathe, everything will be golden πŸ™‚

eta: I think it is completely normal to start feeling overwhelmed when you’re so close to the finish line. maybe take this weekend to recoup and re-energize if you can before diving into those last minute projects? Or get some help from your partner/willing friends to get the jobs done (or even just chit-chat & keep you company while you work on them).

@brooch:  Freaking A LOT after today!  I’m pretty chill, and I’ve been pretty chill about the wedding.  I’ve approached it knowing I didn’t have a lot of time to plan or a lot of money to throw at it, so a lot of those normal details brides are sweating about just aren’t in my bag of tricks (i.e. photo booths, favors, assigned seating).  But I AM freaking out because I found out today my dress alterations will be $535!  I flat out refuse to pay that much for alterations, so now I’m thinking about selling my dress and buying something simple off the rack at David’s Bridal that won’t require $535 in alterations.  I should have known to expect this.  All along, my absolute biggest concern was whether the dress would look right and I gotta tell ya, it makes me want to chuck the whole damn thing and just elope.

So yes.  Let the freak out begin.  πŸ™‚

@brooch: You are going to be just fine, I promise.  I felt the same way, and I am an event planner.  I ended up scapping some of my DIY projects as we got closer to the end, but it all came together.  The last week was mega stressful, but even though some things didn’t turn out like I’d envisioned, I ended up married and everyone had a fantastic time.  There are always going to be things you will wish had turned out differently, but I wouldn’t change a thing now.  OH, and I posted my pro pics yesterday! πŸ˜‰  Best words of advice “Don’t let the details get bigger than the purpose!”

It’ll be ok. Even if you buy a banner. If if you use the one you made. If if you make a new one that says “eff banners”.

Your wedding will be ok.
